While holding Choice Specs, Raging Bolt serves as an immensely powerful wallbreaker, capable of 2HKOing its typical switch-ins such as Clodsire and Swampert. Thunderbolt OHKOes Pokemon that would hope to switch in to tank a Draco Meteor, such as specially defensive Corviknight and Galarian Weezing. In the rare instance Raging Bolt can't 2HKO a foe, such as Assault Vest Hoopa-U, Volt Switch is an excellent pivoting option to bring in a teammate better suited for the situation. Finally, Thunderclap helps with Raging Bolt's lackluster Speed tier, picking off faster foes such as Choice Specs Greninja and Iron Valiant. Archaludon is an excellent defensive teammate for Raging Bolt, as Archaludon's Stealth Rock support allows Raging Bolt to OHKO Gliscor with Draco Meteor. Dual status Dragapult can slow down foes such as Choice Specs Flutter Mane and Ogerpon-W with Thunder Wave and weaken foes such as Iron Hands and Garchomp with Will-O-Wisp.
