The auction will take place on June 22nd. There will be 8 teams and the tournament will have 7 weeks of round robin and 2 weeks of playoffs. That places the end of the tournament sometime in the late August. All teams must have at least one manager available from late June through late August. If you know you won't have access to the internet at any point during that time, make sure your assistant manager (assman) will be available to pick up the slack. If both you and your assman plan on going on an extended vacation at the same time, just don't sign up.


If you want to manage a team in MPL5, make a post below including the name of your assman to apply. Managers will be decided by the tournament host(s), who will be Perish Song and Kev for the time being. Former managers will be given priority, although we may decide to deny a former manager on account of activity if necessary. Team names must be a Pokemon Location + Pokemon (ex: Sunyshore Surskits). All team names are subject to approval, hosts and forum mods may deny your team name. This thread will be open for one week.​

- Managed the Lotads to finals in MPL III

Team Name: Cinnabar Charizards

List of Accomplishments: We both avidly play USM Monotype and Harpp is a very solid USM Monotype record in team tours, while I also have good Monotype old gen knowledge. I managed a team that made it to the semi-finals of MWP2 and Harpp managed a team that made it to the semi-finals of Mono WCOP. Additionally we are both avid contributors to Monotype.

Why would you make a Good Manager?: We both have managed in Monotype Team Tours before and will both try to help the team succeed.

Why Would you make a good manager: As literally the 2 best monotype players ever to exist I think We've got a grasp on who's good and who's not, but honestly i can draft anyone, with my teams. They cant lose.

List of Accomplishments:
- Both of us have been playing in previous team tours with decent success (izaya was MPL III semifinalist and both were World Cup semifinalists)
- Have been active parts of the community for the past few years (both have/had voice in monotype room, have badges for contributing)
- Performed well in individual tours, I have the Monotype Ribbon, am MLT IV winner, and two-time seasonal finalist.

Why would you make a good manager?: We have a lot of time to kill in the summer and want to win :)

I've had the pleasure of teaming up with both of these wonderful people in MPL 3 and 4 respectively and fully endorse them for a manager spot.

List of Accomplishments: Both Won Smogon Exhibition II
Levi was Finalist in Mono Wcop and Played in MPL4
I played in Exhibition as a mono player.
Why would you make a Good Manager?: I have knowledge of every gen to help out the team prep and build teams for gens if needed. Levi is also able to help with his ability to play well in mono tours and knowledge of current meta.

Makes sense for the champion and finalist managers from BLT try their hands, no? Nothing more to say than us being longtime community members with open minds looking to take an opportunity and make it an amazing experience.

Also Decem’s been one of the greatest Mono contributors in recent memory and I’m trying to expand my horizons~

edit: also choosing this name bc tork told me to retain Chait to prevent him from managing so gg

List of Accomplishments: Both been here since mpl 1, have a few rings between us.
Why would you make a Good Manager?: We managed the Hearthome Honchkrows to victory in a previous iteration of this tournament. I also captained UK to semis in mono wcop while also captaining UK in regular wcop. Sabella has managed in smogon snake draft.

List of Accomplishments: We both have a decent amount of mono tournament experience between the two of us. Clearly innovated the metagame bringing much success to stall steel, rotom-h fire, etc.
Why would we make Good Managers?: I'm a good hype man and Clearly will call you ass so we make for a good good cop/bad cop manager duo.
