Introduction

Recently since I have had extra time on my hands, I made quite a few teams that fair well in battles and there is another that I might post in the future.
The point of the team is to knock your opponent's Pokémon slowly by chipping away damage from forcing them to switch out by walling them.

Team-building Process

The idea behind this core is to have Mandibuzz tank physical hits while Heatran take all of the special ones. This is basically my edited version of Celetran even though it might be weaker, I feel like it fits better with the rest of my team which was already vaguely figured out.

Every stall team needs a Pokémon that heals status and also wish passing is helpful. I saw my friend use Wish Pass Salamence which is decent mainly because of leftovers but I think Chansey is still better. Chansey even though only has 5 Defense is still crazily bulky because of her crazy health.

Garchomp is great for many things. I don't actually like the set I am using on it but it works best in the team. It can also set up rocks but mine is scarf so it works as a revenger.

Rotom-Wash is quite nice because it sets a status while also being able to switch in and out with a viable Volt Switch on it and ChestoResto is no doubt the best set in gen.

The same as almost all my other teams, Venusaur Mega is just to take care of rotom wash.

A closer look

Rhenoplos (Venusaur) (F)
venusaurite.png
Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 204 SDef / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (
+Def, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk

- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Synthesis
- Leech Seed

This is the exact same Venusaur as my last RMT so I'll basically use the same description. Venusaur is the number one best bulky mega this generation, OU or not. With 123 Physical and 120 Special Defense, it is only fair that its 80 HP doesn't get buffed. The main reason this is so good is because of its ability, Thick Fat, it protects it from 2 out for 4 weaknesses. The reason I have special Venusaur over physical is because Rotom-Wash is one of the most annoying Pokémon this gen and if i run physical, it still walls me with Will-O-Wisp. Sludge Bomb was bad last gen because poison was a horrible offensive typing but this gen is decent because it is super effective against Fairy. This EV spread allows it to survive a Brave Bird from an Adamant Life Orbed Talonflame. It also can survive a Flare Blitz from a +1 Charizard X at full health.

252+ Atk Life Orb Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 48+ Def Mega Venusaur: 299-354 (82.1 - 97.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Tough Claws Charizard Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 48+ Def Thick Fat Mega Venusaur: 306-362 (84 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard Dragon Claw vs. 252 HP / 48+ Def Mega Venusaur: 136-161 (37.3 - 44.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Teravolt Kyurem-B Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 204 SpD Mega Venusaur: 222-264 (60.9 - 72.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (
+Def, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Taunt

- Roost
- Defog

Mandibuzz for this team is to be the physical wall since Chansey and Heatran are both specially bulky. Mandibuzz also has great typing, neutral to fighting and immune to ground. Foul Play is very overlooked on Mandibuzz because most people would prefer Knock Off to take out the item but Foul Play OHKO's x2 Pinsir-Mega and x2 Excadrill and a lot of other Swords Dancers. Taunt is to stop hazards and statuses from spreading and sometimes stops set-up which happens rarely. Roost is to recover health and Defog is for getting rid of hazards that annoy my team a lot. The speed is 1 below Rotom Wash.

Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (
+Def, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Spd

- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Rest

Rotom-Wash is possibly the best and most viable Pokemon in gen 6. Will-O-Wisp cripples all physical walls and bold 252 def can tank hits. Volt switch is for switching out and the 30 Speed IVs to go right after the opposing Rotom if in a mirror match. Hydro Pump is for its STAB move and rest is for recovery.

Ukanlos (Chansey) (F)
eviolite.png
Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (
+Def, -Atk)
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled

- Heal Bell
- Wish

Even though normal is still a bad type, Chansey is just as good as every because it can wishpass and heal status. Oh boy do people get angry over this pokemon, it's basically my fuck you to mixed substitute kyurem black because it can OHKO everything on my team if it has a sub up and has a certain EV spread. Chansey isn't for statusing on my team like most are but Soft-Boiled and Wish allow amazing support. Heal Bell heals all status on the team which is insanely useful if someone poisons mandibuzz or burns Garchomp.

choicescarf.png
Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (
+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Dual Chop

Garchomp acts as two things on this team, a lead rocks setter to throw your opponent off and they will predict you to either be yache berry or lefties, and a revenge player. Earthquake is garchomp's best STAB move while Edgequake is used because it has amazing coverage. Dual chop is mainly for taking out that god dammit Kyurem-Black that wastes my team even behind a sub.

Odibatorasu (Heatran)
assaultvest.png
Assault Vest
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 188 HP / 156 SAtk / 164 Spd
Modest Nature (
+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast

- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Flash Cannon

Heatran is most often use for Stealth Rock and Roar but this gen, but I believe Assault Vest is just as viable. I love this set mainly because how bulky it is and Chansey WishPassing into this almost restores it to full health immediately. Fire Blast is for my STAB move of choice because it does a lot of damage and has better accuracy than Magma Storm. Flash Cannon is also STAB and takes out some potential threats that could be Rock/Ground. Earth Power is the special version of Earthquake and Dragon Pulse is just so it can wall the occasional Latias or Latios.

Too lazy to give u a full r8 but almost nothing on ur team can safetly switch into mold breaker exca so idk switch chompy for lando-t i guess if ur gonna take this into consideration use ur own evs cuz im too lazy to type them and im bout to sleep hopefully u found this helpful if not fuck u
Jk luv u bby baibai =]

Great team, really.

Mandibuzz alone won me several victories when he foul played stuff trying to SD or otherwise set up on it. I can't really nit pick too much other than the fact that i changed rotom around a little to be a defensive pain splitter. I really don't like garchomp on this team, everyone seems to just expect him out first and that works to my favor most of the time but really i feel that landorus could do what hes meant to do but better since he can set rocks while keeping stone edge for the pesky fire or flying and have uturn at the same time.

So really there you have it. Garchomp just IMO seems to be the weakest link of this team but even with him, he serves a role. You have all bases that i can see covered and you're not overly weak to any one thing.. maybe swagger stallers? I dunno, im not that great myself but i can't find anything that would give you a really rough time.

Example here, i even goofed up turn 7 and went for a taunt thinking i'd be faster and stop the SD in the first place. Shoulda just expected it and went with foul play for free dmg. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-77599455

its a really solid team, the biggest issue ive been able to find with it is that the lack of sources of residual damage mean you struggle vs opposing stall, but i cant find a way to improve that without compromising the rest of its performance, so given the prevalence of offense in this meta, i think youre good :)

I agree with the above poster - your team looks like it struggles a lot vs stall especially since you don't have any form of status except for the WoW on Rotom-W. I have 2 ideas and suggestions that should fix the problem, however, it might open up a little bit of a tiny weakness from Lati@s.

To fix your problem against stall, I suggest removing Assault Vest on Heatran and giving it Leftovers, with Toxic over either Dragon Pulse or Flash Cannon. Also, Will-o-Wisp on Rotom-W is replaceable tbh. Your team doesn't look like it suffers from physical attackers (bar the occasional CBtar, but even Rotom-W can't switch into his Stone Edge anyway), and your team will really appreciate the added residual damage of Toxic over WoW on opposing stall teams. This will often lead into Heal Bell PP stalling wars, but you can win those as you have 2 Pokemon that can take status very well in Chansey and Heatran. The former takes literally anything and then switches out and Heatran is immune to Toxic and WoW, while it can threaten back with either a strong Fire Blast or a Toxic.

I also suggest changing Venusaur's (weird) spread. Rotom-W literally can't hurt Megasaur in any way even with WoW. Megasaur will always win 1on1 and it has Giga Drain to force Rotom-W out anyway and if for some reason it decided to stay in, you'll more than likely get your HP back. And you have a cleric and even Leech Seed too, so it's really not a big deal. Changing it into a simple 252/252+ Def spread is ideal.

So:
Toxic over WoW on Rotom-W;
Lefties over AV on Heatran, Toxic over either DP or F.Cannon;
252/252+ Def spread for Megasaur.

I also really love how you picked Scarf Chomp as your SR setter/revenge-killer, because Kyu-B really does rape this team all day.

Gl and i hope you find my suggestions helpful.

Edit:
#3 Only make one new RMT per two weeks, additionally don't "bump" your team more than once;

:]

Really? Delex and Renphlos rather than Diablos and Duramboros? Just sayin... there are cooler monsters in MH than those two that fit the bill.

Also, since you seem to run into some problems with stall, perhaps you could consider Knock Off on Mandi rather than Foul Play. This would require a nature and IV change. Another option (somebody mentioned above) would be LandoT over Chomp. You could Run Knock Off and SR, as well as EQ and Stone Edge. You'd lose the extra dragon move, but you'd have a way to handle stalls better. U-Turn is an option that wants to be in there too... but that's some 5mss, so I'll leave that to you.

I'd drop Soft-boiled on Chansey to run Protect as you already have Wish on the set. Wish+Protect = Soft-boiled, and Protect can grab a few other uses, like draining a bit more health with burn or Leech Seed.

I disagree. Wish + Protect is too slow and gives the opponent a free turn to set up or switch out. An extra turn of burn or leech seed won't do anything because if they aren't able to kill Chansey they are going to switch out anyway.
