Okay, okay. Disclaimer here: I like Smogon. A lot. You guys are smart, knowledgeable and tend to be the cutting edge for competitive battling. And, elitism aside (you guys have obviously earned it, even if it is a little irking to sensibilities sometimes), you guys are obviously some of the best folks on the net to come to.
However, obviously you cater to the COMPETITIVE game moreso than the casual game. And, as such, for someone like me who tends to play the "casual" game instead of the real competitive meta, its hard to approach with what is essentially trying to make the best of subpar choices.
In other words, I risk getting my ass infracted when I seek advice on obviously problematic teams that I design for a gimmick or typing or because I love them.
So, being that people on Smogon are some of the best, it seems obvious to me that I should be asking here what OTHER locales might better cater to me for casual-competitive play, since you guys would know where else smart conversation can be found, but discussion of less competitive gaming isn't so... disruptive. So... any suggestions?
