More Sand Sharks

Hi. as you can see, this is my team. I made it to see if Garchomp was broken or not in practice rather on paper. Turns out, when Sand Veil kicks in, this guy packs a punch, but I haven't made up my mind on that, but who cares. This team has moderate success, but I need to make it a lot better, which I'm gonna need help with. So here's my team for you to rate.

@ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 180 SAtk / 76 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
The obvious sand setter of the team. It's no wonder bulky MixTar is so popular. It can easily wall special attacks, set rocks and sand, and roast Ferrothorn. I'm starting to wonder if I should keep Ice Beam on this guy, as it's only good for catching dragons on the switch, since I already have another ice move.

@ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage
This guy is so much better than Excadrill. One miss is absolutely gamebreaking (trust me, Sand Veil misses have netted me the match before). Chomp can also reliably set up subs one after the other at walls until Sand Veil kicks in, allowing for some serious wallbreaking, oh ya, then there's his nearly unresisted STAB Coverage, Chomp is one of the best members of this team.

479-W.gif
@ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SAtk / 128 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder Wave
- Pain Split
Rotom-w has a nice combo of bulk, speed, and power I need. The typing is also a huge bonus, too. Having only one weakness (quad resisted by a member of this team). Paralysis support helps the fact that all of my team but Garchomp is relatively slow. Pain Split gives extra recovery when I can get it and need it.

534.gif
@ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Payback
This guy is such a beast. There are moments that Conkeldurr really shines (usually against opposing Sand teams I take out their Gliscor and sick Conkeldurr on them). I mainly put Conkeldurr there for his powerful priority, and for the fact he has Guts, too. He also annoys the crap out of Jirachi. I love when they get a couple Iron Head flinches...only to find out I get the health back from them with Drain Punch. Also I'm wondering if I should use Stone Edge over Payback.

472.gif
@ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Taunt
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
THIS. SET. IS. BOSS. I can't believe Gliscor is so good. While giving me an answer to Exca, on the side, he offers amazing wallbreaking, seeing as how he sets up all over the #1 most common Pokemon in the OU Tier. This guy can sweep entire teams due to his powerful attacks in tandem with his physical bulk, constant recovery and status immunity.

598.gif
@ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

What a Surprise, huh? Ferrothorn. The same thing you see almost every match. He's here because rain is annoying. Ferro can wall some things, stack some Spikes and Leech Seed. He also gives me some more ensurance against Excadrill, because he's able to weaken him. I'm probably going to end up replacing this guy because I'm starting to see him as a weak link.

Your team has a pretty big problem against Garchomp and your Gliscor has a hard time conserving its HP as is without Protect. Thus, I would recommend giving it Protect over Taunt.

Your team is very weak to Scizor, it can easily attempt a sweep with Swords Dance. I highly recommend giving your Rotom-W Will-o-wisp over Thunder Wave. Will-o-wisp will not only beat Scizors, it will weaken many other physical attackers and render them useless. I would also move all those Speed EVs to its HP. It really needs the bulk if you want to take hits to many things. Rotom-W without the HP EVs isn't very bulky and can easily die to many things it resists. Like Starmie, CB Scizor, Heatran, etc. It would take a lot of damage.

For Ferrothorn, I would replace Gyro Ball for Thunder Wave. Thunder Wave will allow you to paralyze your opponent's Pokemon which will allow your Garchomp to Substitute and hax with Sand Veil much easier. Gyro Ball doesn't really do much that Thunder Wave can't.

I see a huge weakness to Thundurus as it can sweep your whole team right after a Nasty Plot. I would really suggest replacing Conkeldurr for Excadrill. You get the x2 speed boost from the Sand. There's no need for priority for Excadrill. You can beat those pesky Thundurus with Rock Slide. You can save yourself from getting swept by many things too like Volcarona, Dragonite, Lucario, etc. Here's the set:

Excadrill @ Air Balloon Lv. 100 -- Sand Rush
Nature: Adamant - EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

I recommend Rapid Spin because your team is really weak to entry hazards and Toxic Spikes. Toxic Spikes can totally ruin your Garchomp from sweeping.
