More Standard than Standard(OU)

This is my first RMT so be critical as possible.
I have been play testing this team for about 3 weeks now on shoddy and have had some relative success. I usually win about 75% of the time. Anyways here is the team:

The Lead
azelf.png

Held Item: Focus Sash
Nature: Naive
Ev Spread: 6 atk/252 spatk/252 spe
Moveset: Taunt
SR
Psychic
Explosion
Description: The standard suicide Azlef, He brings momentum to my team by getting up the rocks while shutting down other leads such as Bronzong, opposing Azlefs, lead Machamps etc. I can usually guarantee a KO with this lead.

The Sweepers:
dragonite.png

Held Item: Life orb
Nature: Rash
Ev Spread: 112 Atk/ 200 SpAtk/196 Spe
Moveset: Draco Meteor
Flame thrower
Superpower
Tbolt
Description: After my Azlef dies I normally send in this Mixnight. Most opponents assume he is physical so I can catch the Bulky DD Gyra's pretty well. He is also my wall breaker against the likes of Bronzong,Skarmory and Jirachi. He usually guarantee 2 KO's with him.

Held Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Naive
Ev Spread: 6 atk/252 spatk/ 252 spe
Moveset: Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion
Hp Ice
My main sweeper, and in IMO the best revenge killer in the game. He outspeeds most opponents and turns around KO's them. He is also my fire resist which plays huge dividends with my clean up crew. Overall he is a huge asset to my team that has saved me from impending defeat.

The Walls
:

Held Item: Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
Ev Spread 240 hp/ 216 def/ 52 Spatk
Moveset: Roar
Eq
Ice Beam
Surf
Description: The standard MixPert, like I said this team is more standard than stanard. He is my phazer for all those pesky late game sweepers like Gyra and Scizor. Mixpert is also my Zapdos counter, he can take hits like a champ and ward off the Zapdos. He carries key resistences for me which is crucial in my vicotory.

celebi.png

Held Item: Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ev Spread: 252 hp/220 def/36 spe
Moveset: Recover
Leech Seed
Psychic
Grass Knot
Ok this is where I need help. Celebi is my staller but has proven to be a hinderance to this team. Yes, he has saved me a few times, but his synergy dosn't really help this team. He does provide a few resistences which are helpful but I was thinking about puting a Jirachi in his place to provide wish and screen support

Late Game Sweeper:
scizor.png

Held Item: Life orb
Nature: Adamant
Ev Spread: 32 hp/252 atk/224 spe
Moveset:SD
BP
X-Scissor
Brick Break
Scizor has not lived up to his hype in my case, he usally gets around 1-2 KO's on near dead opponents. He like Celebi can't find his niche in my team, but that may be my fault. I don't know who to put in his place so please help.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read and rate this. Please be as critical as possible.

The reason Scizor hasn't been living up to his hype might be because you aren't using him the right way. I'd switch to this set, as it adds more bulk, power, and is an absolute beast. I use it on my team and it's deffinently a staple member.

Scizor@Choice Band
Adamant Technician
176 HP/252 Atk/80 Spe
Bullet Punch
Superpower
Pursuit
U-Turn

I really don't see how Celebi is a hinder to the team, as it covers Swampert and Heatran's weaknesses very well. Something that DOES look like a hinderance to your team would be using MixNite over MixMence. Dragonite does a few things better than Dragontie, but being a mixed sweeper/wall breaker is not one of them. I'd use the standard MixMence set, with a few little changes, those being Naive over Rash and Brick Break over EQ. Naive to ouspeed other MixMence and Brick Break does a good job, just as, if not better, than Earthquake. It a) Hits Ttar 4x SE, b) Hits Heatran for 2x, not as good as EQ :( but it's saving grace is c) It takes down screens. That is an essential for a wall breaker, and it is far too often overlooked.

MixMence@Life Orb
Intimidate (duh) Naive
80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Draco Meteor
Outrage
Fire Blast/Flamethrower
Brick Break

You could use either Fire Blast or Flamethrower, but I'd use Fire Blast. Power over Accuracy for a wall breaker. You could also use Roost, but I don't see where you would put it over.

I agree with So. Cal on the MixMence but I'll give you another option:

Salamence @ Life Orb
Intimidate
16 Atk/240 SpA/252 Spd
Naive
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Brick Break
-Outrage

Wall-Breaker of sorts. Naive and max speed is need for all non DD-mences. obviously draco meteor would be your main attack

Use whatever you want as long as it works. Anyways, Good Luck with your team ^_^

Okay, team looks like it has a solid structure around it, and it looks very well built. I'm not really gonna screw with the team at all, just fix some of your spreads since they seem a bit odd to say the least. Anyway, we'll start at the top.

On your Azelf, there really is no need for taunt. More often than not, your opponent will still be getting their Rocks up, and it usually is just a waster moveslot. Fire Blast is definitely a much better option than Taunt on a lead Azelf. It'll help you out a lot moer late game, and is a great way to clear out leading steels, Bronzong, Skarmory, Forretress, Scizor etc.

Next on your Dragonite, I would suggest that you completely drop that for a Salamence. I will give you this, Dragonite is a better Mixed Sweeper, however it really lacks speed and his ability is far worse than Salamences. He'll also provide you a good defensive check in, being able to abuse intimidate and couple it with roost giving you an effective bulky wall. The Salamence set I would reccomend is

Salamence @ Life Orb
Naive - 252 Sp. Attack 176 Speed 80 Attack
Intimidate
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Brick Break
- Roost

This is his best Mixed Sweeping set. The Mixed Salamence set allows it to basically dominated everything in this game, Fire Blast + Brick Break + Draco Meteor is unresisted and will deal heavy ammounts of damage to any pokemon switching in. The last move should be preferably roost, just so you can keep him alive a lot longer than normal, but Outrage is perfectly suitable if you feel like suiciding for a "needed" KO.

For your Heatran, I feel that Choice Scarf is the most overrated set it can run. The Bait Tran set is a much better and much more effective set. It's basically a way to lure out Blissey and other pokemon who can "counter" your teams overall goal and is an easy and somewhat reliable way to help get rid of them. Since you have an SR lead, I'm gonna suggest a little different set.

Heatran @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Hasty - 252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed / 4 Hp
Flash Fire
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Explosion

Basically switch in on something you know will switch out, and then throw up a sub. From there you can either attack while they break your sub, if you're faster, or just boom right off the get-go if it's your only option to take them down. Leftovers helps him stay alive a bit longer, while Life Orb will help do extra damage and works just as well since this set is really just a suicider.

Okay for your Swampert, I'd reccomend that you run a set that may be a bit odd looking, but in itself is quite effective.

Swampert @ leftovers
Relaxed - 240 hp/ 216 def/ 52 Spatk
Torrent
- Ice Beam
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Surf / Roar

Surf really isn't needed but is always a good option to have. This set will work very well when combined with the new Celebi spread I'm reccomending you to use. You can use Protect to get the advantage on Choiced users, and even get that extra recovery in HP. Roar can be used as a last option just in case a Gyarados, Scizor or some other threat gets a tad out of hand.

As for your Celebi, I'd reccomend that you use a Thunder Wave set. It's a very effective set, as it abuses Thunder Wave to ruin other peoples chances at getting off sweeps, and is quite a nuisance in general. The set I'm reccomending would be:

Celebi @ leftovers
Bold - 252 HP / 220 Deg / 36 Speed
Natural Cure
- Thunder Wave
- Grass Knot
- Recover
- Leech Seed / HP Fire / Earth Power / HP Ice

This set is a great annoyer, and a great walling set. It para's sweepers and then with it's 1 or 2 attacking moves goes on to either stall or just kill after hindering them. The last slot is a toss up between, getting some extra health each turn, killing Scizor and other Steels, killing Heatran and other Fires, or killing Salamence and the other Dragons. With this team HP Fire or Ice would be recomended as every one of those pokemon really have no imediate counter to on your team.

For your Last slot your Scizor works perfectly fine, and I kind of tried setting this team up to function around trying to get a Scizor sweep in. I would honestly consider that you run this spread, it seems a lot more effective than the current one you're running just because it has roost ;D

Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant - 252 Attack 252 Hp 4 Speed
Technician
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
- Bullet Punch
- Roost

This uses Scizor's relative bulk and decent movepool to his advantage, gaining the ability to help better set himself up, and carry out a sweep. Between those 2 moves you should be fine after a Swords Dance, just beware of Steel/Fire pokemon. For those pokemon alone Super Power is a perfectly justifiable option, but you'll lose out on the ability to carry out a sweep.

Well I hope you enjoy the rate, I think this could help out a bit. Good luck with the team. ^_^

My favourite Salamence Set is...

Salamence@LO
Mild
188 Speed 200 Special Attack (rest in attack)
~Dracon Meteor
~Outrage
~Earthquake
~DD

Hits hard on special and psychical side.

DD on things that switch out like Ttar or Blissey

:]

cool team but banded scizor can really help and the dragonite is perfect i prefer expert belt but w.e dont dare use mixmence the dnite is great

In my opinion, I would run mixnite completely special because is seems pointless to put all those evs in attack just so you can use superpower

Thanks a lot for the feed back and I'll try the recommended spreads and changes.Oh I have taken celebi out and put in the paraflinch Jirachi from the platinum updates section and it has saved me numerous times even from 4-1
