Most Annoying Team Ever

This team is more or less the result of my boredom. It's not a serious team by any stretch of the imagination, and isn't exactly likely to top the ladder, but it's astoundingly consistent for what it is. After roughly 70 battles with this team, I had 64 wins, with a decent number of those wins against genuinely good players.

So, without further ado, the team that made just about everyone I faced with it rage at me.

Normally, I'd give a "team in detail" bit here, but given the way this team works, that's very difficult to do without a ton of redundancy. So, here's how this team works, summing up essentially 5 of the 6 members at once.

The key moves used here are Substitute, Swagger, Foul Play, and Thunder Wave. Leftovers is the item in all cases. When I play, I always Substitute on the first turn; the opponent usually sets up entry hazards on turn 1 which just isn't a big deal for this team. If they're using inaccurate moves such as Stone Edge or Fire Blast, I can Substitute repeatedly and fish for a miss. Then I use Swagger. If they successfully attack, I substitute on the next turn, as many times as necessary until they fail to attack, at which point I paralyze them to make it even harder for them to land a hit. Once I have a Substitute up and they're weakened from hitting themself enough, I Foul Play them which usually is a KO. Then Swagger the next mon that comes in, and repeat. In the worst case scenario - a healthy opposing mon when I lack a Substitute - I Swagger them and hope for the best; if they manage to KO my mon, they're confused and I can Substitute repeatedly with the next mon to fish for a self-hit and start the cycle all over again.

Here's the team details, with some brief notes on why the team members are set up the way they are.

Liepard @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 208 HP / 52 SDef / 248 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Swagger
- Foul Play
- Thunder Wave

Liepard is the fastest Prankster, and is typically saved for when it's really necessary. 248 Speed Timid guarantees that I always outspeed Scyther when using Foul Play, the HP guarantees that I'm never 1 HP short of a Substitute number, and the rest goes to SpD because Swagger makes Defense much less valuable.

Purrloin @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 200 HP / 60 SDef / 248 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Swagger
- Foul Play
- Thunder Wave

As the slowest Prankster, Purrloin is almost always this team's lead. The Speed EVs ensure I always outspeed Modest Nidoqueen which is pretty huge. Rest is in bulk, though Purrloin is still ridiculously frail even with the investment. Attack is minimized in case of a mirror match.

Murkrow @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 240 HP / 16 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Swagger
- Foul Play
- Thunder Wave

Murkrow's secondary Flying-type gives it a Grass resistance, which can actually give it switch-in opportunities despite its frailty; this is extremely helpful since most of the biggest threats to this team are Grass-types. Speed is maximized to tie with Rotom.

Electrode @ Leftovers
Trait: Soundproof
EVs: 240 HP / 16 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Swagger
- Foul Play
- Thunder Wave

Generally Electrode is the most easily sacrificed member of the team, since it lacks Prankster and STAB on Foul Play. It can be helpful if I need a fast Foul Play, though. Soundproof is chosen to give it switch-in opportunities on Bug Buzz. Speed is maximized just in case of opposing Electrode.

Skuntank @ Leftovers
Trait: Stench
EVs: 216 HP / 44 SDef / 248 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Swagger
- Foul Play
- Rain Dance

Skuntank is used over other options such as Sneasel because it absorbs Toxic Spikes, which pretty much single-handedly beats this team otherwise. The Speed always beats non-Scarf Magmortar. Rain Dance trolls the hell out of hail teams, another major threat to the way this team works (it's chosen over Sunny Day because it helps Quagsire's Waterfalls). Stench gives a flinching chance, just in case this team wasn't haxy enough to begin with.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Swagger
- Waterfall
- Recover

Pretty much the only mon that merits an actual description. With Unaware, Quagsire is a full stop to virtually every physical threat regardless of how many Swaggers they have. It also stops Entei cold, which is an enormous asset to this team since its ExtremeSpeed is a massive threat otherwise. Quagsire's value as a fallback is extremely hard to overstate, and it can contribute to the hax itself with its own Swagger, and flinch already-paralyzed mons with Waterfall to annoy opponents even more.
