Moves I See A Lot Of

so lately, i've been thinking to myself, "God, do these people ever change their movesets?" I mean, come on. On the bright side, I now know that Acrobatics can be a priority move. :3 derp. So anyway, here's my guide to the most common moves as of late.

First off we have Knock Off. No seriously, knock that smirk off your face. Knock Off will, well, knock off the target's held item. Knock Off has plenty of common users. These include: Pawniard, Vullaby, Aipom, and Mienfoo.

Second one is fake. Fake Out, to be exact. This move can make the target flinch. For those of you who don't know, a flinching Pokèmon cannot make a move that turn. The most common wielder of this move is Aipom, though lately I've seen some people using Fake Out Mienfoo.

Next up is Acrobatics. Believe me, the logic confused me at first too. Basically, Acrobatics doubles in power if the user is not holding an item. The most well-known user of this move is Fletchling, whose ability Gale Wings gives the move a priority boost.

Next we have a move used by most Electric-type Pokémon, Volt Switch. I like to think of Volt Switch as Baton Passes brother. Volt Switch not only switches out the user, but also does damage in the process, much like U-Turn. Magnemite, Electrike, Pichu, Elekid, and Mareep are easily caught using this move. Speaking of Mareep....

Thunder Wave. Because my starter (Bulbasaur) was always immune to poison, this move was the first move in my gaming experience that gave my Pokèmon a status condition. Thunder Wave is very simple-all it does is paralyze a Pokémon without immunity to Electric-type moves. Mareep is considered useful in this sense, as is Chinchou. And, speaking of weirdly typed Pokémon....

Dwebble is the most popular user of the move Stealth Rock. Stealth Rock damages the Pokémon in your party upon switch-in. This is nice for breaking Sashes, but truly devoted Stealth Rock removers will bring along a Pokémon with Defog to blow your rocks away. Deep breath. Dwebble, Geodude, Onix, Drilbur, Aron, Diglett, Archen, Pineco, Bronzor, Bonsly, and Tyrunt are all common Stealth Rock users.

Now, to finish it off is a warning, not a move. Stealth Rock users are mostly slow, but have sturdy or a Focus Sash to ensure a safe setup. Watch out especially for Pokémon such as Geodude and Pineco, who can Explode or Self-Destruct after setup, as they are no longer needed for battle. In addition, Pineco can use Spikes to set up Steath Rock, 3 layers of Spikes, and an Explosion.

Have a nice day fwends! :3

Did you get permission from a forum moderator? This is not like in OU where you can just post threads? If so please include them in the OP.

I get you're trying to help but this thread is kinda unnecessary, sorry.

If you're new try getting used to posting in other threads before making you're own, such as the metagame discussion thread

and as rzl said, always ask a moderator before posting a thread
