Hello everyone! Welcome to the 2nd edition of MSPL. Otherwise known as Mystic Society Premiere League. This is a team tournament born through the interest of the people present in the community of The Mystic Society. The team tournament consists of 8 qualified teams ,each having atleast 12 players, clashing in the pool of various tiers throughout smogon. Out of these 8 teams, 4 will qualify for play offs after 7 weeks of round robin. The champion of MSPL will arise in play offs. Lets hope this tournament occurs in succession and enjoy yourselves!

Tournament rules:
Follow all rules listed here.
Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

I'm not joining the Mystic Society cord to crash out at tours hosts or say anything after this message, frankly I do not really care all that much. This tour has no stakes, I was here on a favor, and I essentially cancered by the end of the regular season.

Appreciate that someone was willing to step up to save this team tour when the hosts dropped dead, an impromptu decision like that will inevitably have issues even for experienced hosts (As you said, you're here on damage control). That being said, I disagree with your decision to reverse a two week old act call especially with how important that one change impacted playoffs. I don't think we can even contest the ruling because there are no administrative announcements to speak of to my knowledge, ergo no poof that this invalid act call was ever accepted to begin with. Can't exactly cry to TDs about that lol. This is more just venting frustrations, although this entire issue could've been avoid if someone had made an administrative decision on the thread. Not to get TDs involved or anything, but more so that managers could learn and contest the status of act calls like that immediately instead of 2 weeks later when playoffs come around.

Hoennsceptile don't think you deserve any hate for this at least not permanently, you should've never had to be put in this position to begin with. That is what I am truly annoyed about. The original hosts really poor commitment killed any motivation to actually care about the outcome of this tour and heavily damaged its reputation. Managers having to tally their own points because the main spreadsheet was never updated or entire rounds failed to be bolded on the OP is unacceptable.

Whole bunch of yap but this ain't that serious tbh, can we just do more than the bare minimum next time?

no flame on this side either, my interest in the tour is really low and i have played the same three teams every week, but if you go to the thread you’ll see me explaining it wasn’t act on that same day, and them saying “we can still play it out” when the deadline had already been reached. we didn’t feel as if it was “reversed,” for us those points were ours, which is why we didn’t bother to do anything last two weeks.

again, nothing wrong with your points, just wanted to clarify. i think for the next MSPL, if there’ll be one, immediacy with the scoreboard, administrative choices and game scores will be key. otherwise - and this is what killed most of our interest - it becomes basically impossible to know what is going on. again, not trying to be offensive!! i love the hosts and have had tons of fun last season, plus i never organised a tour and i assume it is very difficult.
