[SET COMMENTS]
In a metagame that is speed oriented, Munchlax stands out because of it’s high special defense stat and access to curse. This sets it apart from other set up sweepers, as this sweep is based on outlasting your opponent. Facade provides good STAB damage, which can be boosted even more if Munchlax picks up status conditions whilst setting up. Fire Punch makes it a good Ferroseed counter and Pawniard check while also giving extra coverage, and Recycle gives Munchlax longevity that it otherwise would not have, and allows it to stay healthy throughout the match.
Teammates like Grookey and physical attackers really benefit from having Munchlax on their team because if they get burnt, most become unusable for the rest of the match. Munchlax can switch into these burns, boost its Facade damage, and heavily damage something on the opponent's team. This Will-o-Wisp/Burn bait provides both a setup opportunity for Munchlax and saves the attacker from a potentially game changing burn. Thick fat also lets it tank ice moves for a teammate like Mudbray, Archen, and Grookey, or a fire move from something like Ponyta or Larvesta for teammates like Grookey or Pawniard. Pokemon that are weak to special attacks also appreciate having Munchlax on their team, as Munchlax can once again switch in and set up. Munchlax is also a good Larvesta counter because it can take advantage of Larvesta's flame body and high burn potential to boost its Facade damage.

Other Options
-------------------
RestTalk Munchlax is also another set you could run, though Recycle Berry Juice is more efficient because it can also full heal you, without the drawback of two turns of sleep. Another reason why RestTalk is outclassed by CurseLax is because Sleep Talk only has a ⅓ chance to hit the move you want. If Earthquake were to replace Fire Punch, then it would counter both Pawniard and Onix, but Munchlax would lose its utility against Ferroseed, which would wear it down with Iron Barbs, Knock Off, and potentially Synthesis. Seed bomb allows Munchlax to hit Onix and Water types, but it once again loses utility against Ferroseed.
Checks and Counters
-----------------------------
**Mienfoo**: Mienfoo already has high fighting type damage, and Munchlax’s fighting weakness and overall lower defense stat does not help it survive High Jump Kick. Mienfoo being commonplace in the meta also does not help Munchlax’s situation. Munchlax should always have a fighting resist or immunity on the team to bait and punish High Jump Kick. Teammates like Koffing can switch in on High Jump Kick, damage Mienfoo, and wear it down with Neutralizing Gas to block Mienfoo’s Regenerator. Ghost-types like Frillish can directly punish Mienfoo by switching in on High Jump Kick and taxing half of Mienfoo’s HP.
**Setup Sweepers**: Setup sweepers Tyrunt, Onix, and Timburr can capitalize on Munchlax’s setup strategy, and start setting up themselves, and can eventually Overpower Munchlax, and then roll though the rest of its team. Teammates like Abra can stop Timburr and Onix from setting up by using Psychic and Energy Ball, respectively. If Tyrunt loses its sturdy to hazards, Abra can also Psychic on a switch and remove it.
**Archen**: Archen’s fast and high damage output makes removing Munchlax easy for it before Munchlax sets up. Munchlax should always have teammates like Staryu or Magnemite to switch and Revenge KO Archen should it try to take out Munchlax in the Early game.
