Body Slam hits hard off of 19 Attack and can cripple foes like Mienfoo with paralysis. Fire Punch does heavy damage to Ferroseed and Pawniard. Recycle and Berry Juice allow Munchlax to absorb strong attacks and stay healthy, while Curse turns it into a setup sweeper. Munchlax is crippled by Knock Off, so Knock Off absorbers like Mienfoo are important teammates. Koffing has great synergy with Munchlax, as the combination of Munchlax's attacks and Neutralizing Gas can wear down Mienfoo. Bulky Water-types like Staryu and Frillish can check Tyrunt, which sets up on Munchlax.
