My musical taste is a little weird, or so I've been told. First and foremost, I am really into ska-punk/ska-core, which most people really can't stand, but I can't get enough of it. My favorite artists of that genre are The Arrogant Sons of Bitches, Bomb the Music Industry!, Against All Authority, and Leftover Crack. I also like some of the more mainstream, softer ska type music like Catch 22 and Streetlight Manifesto and that kind of stuff. Most people hate that kind of music, but I love it.

And then I also really like all kinds of rock, although even here my taste seems to be a bit random and strange. I really dislike most classic rock. Well, I don't really dislike it, but it's not really my favorite. My favorite rock bands are Modest Mouse (I like the old stuff better, but the new stuff is good too), Against Me!, and some other bands. I also like Reggae alot, and love Bob Marley, and, though it's not exactly reggae, Sublime. I am in love with the Beach Boys, one of my all time favorite bands, and I also, surprisingly, really love listening to Norah Jones. I secretly like Blink-182 alot also, but don't tell anybody.

Lastly, and maybe most weirdly, I love rap, despite being probably the whitest guy you will ever find. My favorite rapper by a mile is Nas, even though I've only listened to one of his albums. Illmatic is probably the best piece of music I have ever heard. Other rap artists I like are Wu Tang Clan, particularly Ghostface Killah and GZA, A Tribe Called Quest, Outkast, De La Soul, and Black Star.

So yeah, basically a random assortment of artists from almost every different genre (except techno, no matter how hard I try I can't get into techno). I'll pretty much listen to anything, but when it comes to my favorites, I'm very picky.

Please use Now Playing unless you will be doing more than posting lists. What Danyul did is good.

I've also been told I have a strange taste in music, but then again I get that from most folks because I listen to Death Metal, Black Metal, Thrash and generally anything moody and intense.

My favourite groups at the moment are Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Fortress, Behemoth, Arch Enemy, Job For A Cowboy, Megadeth, Slayer, The Black Mages and Draconian. But here's where it gets weird.

On my iPod I also have Frank Sinatra, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Coldplay, Buena Vista Social Club and Jack Johnson. Hence, I have a very varied musical taste.

Btw, if you're thinking The Black Mages sound like something from Final Fantasy, then you're not far away. They play various theme musics from the final fantasy series, including battle music from FF7 and 8, J-E-N-O-V-A from FF7, and Laguna's theme from FF8.

I generally switch between classical/jazz and rock/classic rock. I like beethoven's stuff and miles davis for classical/jazz and rock is just whatever is on the radio.

that's because the composer for the FF games up to FFX is as member of the black mages :D

personally, i've started listening to a variety of music lately, but primarily it is rock these days, pink floyd and led zeppelin being among my most played artists. i've been an avid VGM listener in the past, a habit that i still cherish. i've been trying to get into radiohead lately, though for the greater part my problem is that i don't "get it" when it comes to the majority of their songs.

Well, when I was around 13, people would make fun of me for listening to "weird" music. The list of people includes kids at school, my parents, and various others. Now I'm 16, and I still listen to the same shit. It's a light-hearted joke, but music wise, I'm the weird kid who listens to underground stuff. Then I came to Smogon, and found a lot of people like me, but the majority is not.
