hello all and welcome to my attempt at a rmt. Id like to start off by saying ive been lurking on this forum for a couple months and that im not big on posting, with that being said sorry if my images are to big, to small or just kinda weird. by the beginning of december i started playing on shodown and by about mid December i put what could possibly be the best team ive ever assembled...this is that team RIP :nerd:

TEAM BUILDING PROCESS
rain is arguably the most dominant weather in this meta game, the loss of tornadus T wasn't a huge loss and didnt take to much away from the meta that is rain. I knew i wanted a rain team and in order to successfully do that you need a...any one?...thats correct! a rain inducer and who better than a long time virtual buddy of mine POLITOAD!
2vaza09.png

next up was who can work in tandem with the toad to give me a better chance (in rain) to win me the game, thats when it came to me GREEN IS MEAN!...but seriously ferro is one of my favorite steel types and hey what can i say it worked

that pretty much wraps up the team building process, the rest of the pokes were thought of along the way

THE TEAM!

vpg28y.jpg

POLITOAD @CHOICE SPECS
NATURE=BOLD
DRIZZLE
252 HP / 252 DEF / 4 SPD
-PERISH SONG
-SURF
-ICE BEAM
-HP ELEC

bulky toad because im not the best with ev spreads, sets up the rain although many people ive played with have asked me why even have toad on the team and that it could possibly work well if not better with out my little buddy here...PHOOY I SAY! stab surf on a specs toad in rain can 2HKO almost anything that doesn't resist it. surf over hydro pump because ive missed to many times with the pump and surf is just a little stronger then scald although ive been back and forth between the 2. perish song is something gimmicky that ive been testing out and works alright with pursuit plus its decent for stall breaking

izpz0o.jpg

BRELOOM @FIGHTING GEM
NATURE=ADAMANT
252 ATK / 252 SPD / 4 DEF
TECHNICIAN
-SPORE
-MACH PUNCH
-SWORDS DANCE
-BULLET SEED

techniloom is by far my favorite of the looms, sub punch loom isnt with out its charm but mach punch/bullet seed with technician TOO charming...its like the Denzel Washington of the pokemon world. fighting gem is so that first mach punch hits HARD BODY! spore followed by a swords dance can be dangerous. bullet seed can break through subs and gets a boost with technician. the ev spread/ nature is like that because like i said im not the best with evs and i figure adamant over jolly because im shooting for a priority move most of the time so speed wouldnt really matter right?

WEAVILE @CHOICE BAND
NATURE=JOLLY
PRESSURE
252 ATK / 216 SPD / 40 SD
-ICE SHARD
-LOW KICK
-PURSUIT
-NIGHT SLASH

so this is my #1 favorite poke of all time, the original assassin and master of the dark arts. Basic trap set priority ice shard OHKOs the things its supposed to after stealth rock damage (and sometimes before rocks are even up) i love playing teams with starmie because they assume im leading with toad and i send good ol weavy up to bat first night slash and a well timed pursuit will OHKO that thing 1 million times out of 1 million times. pursuit also works well with toads perish song...again if timed correctly. Low kick OHKOs tyranter and heatran which is good enough for me. the ev spread i preety much got from other people, i heard 216 speed is the number to out speed scarfs with a certain base speed (not sure about the number) and the 40 sd because if i switch in on rocks the the hp evs all of a sudden no longer matter

szgcd0.jpg

FERROTHORN @ LEFTOVERS
NATURE=SASSY
IRON BARBS
252 HP / 252 SD / 4 DEF
-LEECH SEED
-STEALTH ROCK
-POWER WHIP
-THUNDER WAVE/GYRO BALL

if ferro is a biznitch to take down then hes even harder to take down in the rain. SD evs because flamethrower can still hurt in the rain, HP evs because its ferro and leftovers because...ITS FERRO. Torn in between gyro ball and Twave trying them of and on and so far i like Twave more?

LANDORUS THENIEN @EXPERT BELT (/LEFTOVERS?)
NATURE=ADAMANT
INTIMIDATE
252 hp / 252 atk / 4 spd
-SLEEP TALK
-EARTHQUAKE
-U TURN
-SUPER POWER

ah landorus my pseudo tank, max hp evs means he can survive long enough to deal blows with his massive atk stat. max atk eq puts a dent in just about anything that isnt levitating, nothing wants to be put to sleep but if some one has to catch some zsss it might as well be this guy with an atk stat of over 400. expert makes sure he can land his KOs you would be surprised what u-turn can do against some things that its weak to although ive recently played with leftovers and am liking the results

hvqxvn.jpg

LATIAS @LEFTOVERS
NATURE=TIMID
LEVITATE
252 SPD / 240 HP / 16 SPA
-SUBSTITUTE
-CALM MIND
-THUNDER
-DRAGON PULSE

why have rain and not abuse the 100% accuracy of either hurricane or thunder? this slot was originally thunderus T, then it was jirachi, latias has just enough bulk to land hits effectivly while being able to take a couple blows for the team. sub calm mind boost her already beefyness and also allows me to avoid para/burn/toxic/leech seed ect... as stated many times im no pro when it comes to ev investment this was a spread i saw a while ago, forgot the reason but im pretty sure there had to be a good one if i went with it?

THE CONCLUESION...
is that i dont know what im doing lol, although ive been a casual competitive battler since gen 4 i can never really keep up with whats going on in the pokemon world because theres such a beautiful world a already live in. college, football, girlfriend(s), work, and just having fun in the real world keep me off the web and off my DS for the majority of my time, im not really sure how i peaked so high with this team at the time tbh ive tried playing with this team now and im back down to 1500 with a couple months of slight change to the meta maybe this team isnt all that great but we had a fun run and now i have the guts to put us on the line in front of new eyes to see where the magic went.
thanks for reading this and remember its my 1st one and i worked fairly hard on it so go easy on me lol

Hey!

First of all, I see that your team lacks a revenge-killer. Revenge-killers are very very important in the current metagame because they allows to deal setupper like Dragonite, Salamence and Volcarona more easily. Therefore, I suggest you to use Choice Scarf Keldeo replacing Weavile. It seems the weak line here because it takes 25% from Stealth Rock and since Tornadus-T is now banned, Weavile isn't very useful in the current BW OU. Also, you don't need to trap-kill latwins because they aren't a problem for this team since Ferrothorn can switch into them all the day. Speaking about Keldeo, I'd use an EV spread of 252 SAtk | 252 Spe | 4 HP with a moveset of Hydro Pump, Surf, Hidden Power Ice and Secret Sword, with Timid nature and of course with Choice Scarf. Then, I'd change Politoed's set a bit. If you want to use Choice Specs Politoed, I suggest you to use this EV spread: EVs: 120 HP / 252 SAtk / 136 Spd. It allows to have a better fire power and to outspeed stuff like Calm Rotom-W and Scizor which is important for an hard hitter like Specs Politoed. Otherwise if you want to don't change Politoed's EV spread, you should change its moveset and its item. With the current EV spread I'd use a moveset of Scald, Protect, Toxic and Perish Song with Leftovers to tank hits better in general. Then, I see that your Landorus-T is setup fodder for setupper like Dragonite, Salamence, Gyarados and so on and that's pretty bad in my opinion. Therefore, I suggest you to use Stone Edge, replacing Superpower because Landorus-T can hit steel-types anyway with Earthquake so Superpower is quite useless. I don't suggest you to replacing Sleep Talk because it helps you a bit against Breloom and Amoonguss which can be threats for your team. Finally, I suggest you to change Thunder into Recover on Latias. Recover is simple a better move on Calm Mind Latias because it allows Latias to tank more attacks and it also allows her to setup more easily.

Good luck!

Hey,

I would try Politoed with a Scarf-Set. Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Focus Blast & Perish Song (if you rely on it). Your team lacks some speed once Latias gets trapped and Weavile demolished with the common Stealth Rock, like Alexander. said.

Also, if you want to keep Latias, I would go with Thunder / Surf or Dragon Pulse & Surf. Without Surf, Scizor & Tyranitar enjoy their field day and can remove Latias quite easily. Of course, a good player keeps Latias at full health, as long as Scizor & Tyranitar are alive.

Like Alexander. said, Weavile is only reliable against the Latis and is easily revenged - if you keep all the priority-attacks in mind. Conkeldurr, SD-Scizor and even simple Dragonite with DD can be problematic - it may sound obscure, but give Cofagrigus a try. It takes care of so many threats and can haze physical sweepers straight away.

So - here are the changes.

Politoed (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SAtk
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Focus Blast
- Perish Song

Cofagrigus (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 SAtk or 252 HP / 136 SDef / 120 SDef
Bold Nature
- Will-o-Wisp
- Haze
- Rest
- Shadow Ball

Latias (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SAtk
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Recover / Substitute
- Thunder / Dragon Pulse
- Surf / Dragon Pulse

So, yeah. Hope it will help you in some way :)

Hello!

Scarf and Expert Belt Keldeo look like such an issue to this team. Especially since most Keldeo are paired with Band Tar, which fucks that CM Latias (and Icy Wind from EB Keldeo really hampers Latias, but its a decent check to Scarf at best). Banded Scizor also looks quite annoying, as well as sun teams with things like Growth Venusaur.

Okay so firstly, CB Weavile struggles to do exactly what you need it to do: threaten sun. Being locked into Ice Shard means Ninetales gets a free switch (or Victini, or Heatran, etc.) and it has to keep taking SR damage. I would switch the item to Life Orb or Expert Belt, depending if you like LO recoil or not. It's a way better threat to sun and this way, your not so Venu weak anymore.

Your Politoed should really be investing some SAtk investment if its going to be using Specs. 252 Hp / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef should be sufficient, unless you want to outrun Wobby or something, which if memory serves right it should be 24 spe investment.

I would replace your current Landy-T for the Double Dance spread. It should be able to rack enough sweeps to make it worth it. Just put rocks on Ferro, as Landy is a better threat to sun now as well as Scarf Keldeo after + / +2. Also handles sand better too.

Good Luck
