Okay, so I'm fairly new to battling, so if I'm doing this wrong, somebody point it out please.
I tried to base my team around defense, not offense, because that's just more my style. It needs work obviously and I am open to comments and recommendations. Now onto the sets.
Mamoswine @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
Mamoswine is mostly here for rocks but is also great as a tank. Mamoswine is a personal favorite, and I just felt like he needed to be on the team. EVs are to maximize power while also staying alive long enough to get off a SR. His SR weakness isn't great, but considering he's my lead means that he won't be switching in and out much.
Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Sp Def / 4 Sp Atk
Sassy Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb
- Dragon Tail
Goodra is my special wall, and easily tanks almost everything specially. The Assault Vest is amazing when paired with Goodra, and just adds to it's incredible special bulk. Dragon Tail is great to stop boosters and stalls, while the rest is for coverage. Gooey is a unique ability and has won me a game or two. Fairies are VERY annoying, and a switch is needed at the sight of a Fairy.
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp Atk
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic
My physical wall, Vaporeon is great support. He sends MASSIVE Wishes, cripples with Scald and Toxic, and walls plenty of pokemon. Watching physical attackers struggle while slowly burning themselves to death is great, especially when Vaporeon is Protecting every other turn. I've noticed that Venusaur is a very large problem, as Vaporeon can do basically nothing to it.
Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Sp Def / 56 Def
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Will-o-Wisp
- Recover
- Night Shade
The team's Prankster. Probably needs to be replaced with something else but it's working for now. Sableye is probably my favorite Prankster as it can burn, Taunt, and Recover, but not much else to say about it besides it putting a quick stop to sweepers by stopping boosts via Taunt and holding back damage with WoW.
Aegislash @ Lum Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Autotomize
- Shadow Claw
- Sacred Sword
The set is a little gimmicky, but when he gets set up, there is very little to stop him. My team's main sweeper is Aegislash, mostly because of his amazing attacking stats. Lum Berry is to stop annoying status, and EVs are to maximize sweeping power. Main counters are priority, mostly Sucker Punch, or something to stop him before he can set up.
Blastoise @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Rain Dish/Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Sp Atk / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Water Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Rapid Spin
I needed a spinner and Blastoise seemed to be great considering I still needed to add my mega-evolution. A change of set hoping to catch teams off guard with an offensive Blastoise, and actually, I have won quite a few games with this. All moves (besides Rapid Spin) get boosted by Mega Launcher and deal pretty good damage.
So uhh, yeah, this is my 1st RMT and was hoping for some help as my team isn't even close to being great. Thanks!
