Hello, I'm Scarfed Raptor. Below is my current 3DS team for Pokemon Y Version. This team's goal is to protect Sweetiepie the Pinsir so he can healthily sweep during the endgame with his fantastic attack power and good speed.
Rotom-W (Mr. Soapy) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Modest
EVs: 232 HP/56 SpA/ 220 Spe
Will-O-Wisp
Thunderbolt
Volt Switch
Hydro Pump
- Everyone is quite aware of Rotom-W's fantastic resistances. He compliments Mega Pinsir due to the fact he covers 3/5 of the mega bug's weaknesses (Mega Pinsir is weak to Fire, Ice, Electricity, Rock, and Flying). Rotom also doesn't mind taking electric attacks either. In addition, Rotom acts as a counter/check to skarmory and talonflame. The washing machine pokemon serves as a bulky attacker which is why I have Thunderbolt over pain-split. I want Rotom to stay in at times and not always be switching out.
Ferrothorn (Cuddles) (Male) @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/ 48 Def/ 208 SpD
Leech Seed
Power Whip
Spikes
Stealth Rock
-Ferrothorn serves as a mixed wall and creates a defensive core with Rotom-W and Azumarill. Power Whip is on the set so that he's not complete taunt bait. Mega Pinsir's sweeping job becomes easier the more traps are on the opponent's side of the field.
Azumarill (RAY PIST) (Male) @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Speed
Aqua Jet
Facade
Superpower
Play Rough
In the depths of Base 50 speed tier...one Azumarill chose to be faster than the rest. Anyway, this rabbit has turned the tide a game for me so many times because no expects speed creeping from such an abysmal speed tier. Azumarill hits hard and taking a hit from a banded version isn't shrugged off very easily. He acts as a revenge killer and wallbreaker most of the time.
Volcarona (Stealth Rock) (Male) @ Life Orb
Ability: Flame Body
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpAtk/ 252 Speed
Bug Buzz
Hidden Power Electric
Fiery Dance
Quiver Dance
Oh hello Gyarados/Bulky Water/ switch in! You think you can switch out my Quiver Boosted Volcarona? Nope. Stealth Rock's job is basically to act a mini-train and roll through a pokemon before getting KOed. In an ideal match (with happens a lot) my volcarona performs the fatal sweep and I don't even have to touch Sweetiepie the Pinsir. Stealth Rock also acts as a check to ferrothorn, scizor, and Skarmory.
Excadrill (Janitor) (Male) @ Rocky Helmet/Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed
Rapid Spin
Swords Dance
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Rapid Spin and Attacker Hybrid. Janitor's job is simple, clean up hazards, attack if necessary, keep Rotom from switching in. I really like running Rocky Helmet because so many mons have met an unexpected death from the extra recoil. But then again, Air Balloon works well too. I have a really hard time choosing which item to run on Janitor because a boosted physical sweeper at pixel health is stopped by him, but Air Balloon grants Ground Immunity.
Pinsir (Sweetiepie) (Male) @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter (Aerialate)
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed
Return (199 Base Power after Aerialate Bonus + Flying STAB)
Quick Attack
Earthquake
Swords Dance
Sweetiepie is usually one of the last lines of defense on my team and comes in to destroy mons with the power of Swords Dance boosted love and affection (aka Return)! My pinsir's job is to clean up endgame and win the match. After a Swords Dance, Pinsir can 2HKO 252 HP Skarmory on a resisted hit. That my friends, is freaking insane. Also with SD Boosted Quick Attack, Pinsir doesn't have to worry about being outsped by other mons, he annihilates fast special sweepers because they are usually frail. (However, Jolteon, Heliolisk, and other electric mons can survive a boosted Quick Attack and OHKO in return even if stealth rock is up). Earthquake is on the set to obliterate Aegislash who would otherwise wall my setup, (In addition this provides great coverage with Ground/Flying).
Note: I chose hyper cutter as the ability so that i don't suffer an attack drop from an intimidater switch in. It's niche, I know, but still helpful.

Well that's my team! I won't be able to make fast changes on the 3DS, but for Showdown, it wouldn't be hard at all.
