Helly my name is Juridisch Advies (dutch for legal counsel),
This is my First RMT in the OU part of the forums but, I'm not and inexperienced player since I got into OU a couple of months ago and played a lot of games during that time. Climbing the ladder with other people's teams and trying different tiers (UU,NU) was fun but I never built my own team. I delved into playing styles lately and I found the Hyper offense is really interesting to play around with. After using various teams based around mega loppunny (with decent success) I still wanted to build my very own team. So I decided to start building an HO offense.
The band is on the rise, winning 10-0 against 1400+ opponents which is a great accomplishment for me.
The star of the show
The king of OU is back again, using his tiny mouth to produce the best sounds of his time. Crunching up opponents, shaking the ground underneaths its audience's feet, turning on the sprinklers and topping it off with a beautiful dancing performance.
I really like Mega Gyarados for its Good attack stat, Decent speed boosted by DD and strong stab/coverage moves. Intimidate over Moxie to force switches and get a free DD up and then proceed to sweep.
Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Dragon dance
The roadie
No star can life without a decent support cast and this monkey is one the best.
I was looking for a fast SR Pokemon who also packs a punch(literally) and then I found my underused friend, Infernape. He can hit really hard with his Stab attacks and use encore to cripple other stealth rock users, He can live an attack and retaliate with CC or overheat.
I chose him over other conventional suicide leads because he can deal with chansey and ferro really well and even cripple other leads/walls with an encore.
Infernape @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 168 Atk / 88 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Overheat
- Stealth Rock
- Close Combat
- Encore
The guitarist
Serperior over here can play the guitar like Jimi Hendrix did during his time. It is contrary time for this snake and that brings a lot of guitar solos along with it. Serperior is a really good fit with Gyardos because he can take an electric type attack force out the opponent and it gets to +2 in one turn. Glare is for fast incoming threats , hidden power fire for bulky steel types and dragon pulse for lack of other good moves. Leaf storm is mandatory on this pokemon 'cause it can't function without it.
Serperior @ Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Glare
- Hidden Power [Fire]
The drummer
This monster really brings the drums. LO gengar is nothing to laugh at since it drops fairy bodies on the floor. Due to taunt being added it can break trough a lot of walls without a hassle. The only thing it hasn't going for itself is focus miss. Sludge wave and shadow ball are here for stab and it's typing blocks rapid spin as well which can be a vital asset for the course of the game. I chose timid nature because it's always better to outspeed and kill then take a hit.
Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave
- Taunt
Backing vocalists
Two choice scarfers to revenge kill many OU Pokemon. They also catch many players off guard because the wear that fabulous band scarf.
It also forms a formidable volt-turn core and they can create a lot of initiative for the rest of my team.
Thundurus can absorb electric attacks aimed at the star of the show and can use its decent move pool to wreck havoc. Flash cannon is for the overly used fairy type and HP ice for dragon and ground/flying pokes in the tier. The therian form packs a punch with 145 base SPA so I chose it over the prankster set.
Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
Landorus is always useful on any team. It's decent synergy with the shrimp is commonly known because they knew each other from when they were a little shrimp/genie beating up the entire day care staff. Super power is good against those bulky types in the tier. U-turn for initiative and the rest to give decent coverage late game.
Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Superpower / Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- U-Turn
I really hope you like this team and feedback is always welcome!
