My Best OU Team

(Sorry, my computer was being stupid and won't let me put pictures up).
____________________________________________________________

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 216 HP/32 Atk/216 Def/44 SpDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- stealth Rock
- earthquake
- ice beam
- superpower

Swampert is a well-balanced starter who sets up stealth rock. But if a pokemon like Aerodactyl or Deoxys (s) comes in as a lead I normally pull off a superpower or earthquake and ice beam is there for pesky DDance Salamences/Dragonites. Grass types like Breloom are no problem because i can switch out to this next pokemon.
462.png

Bouffalant @ Choice Band (happiness-255 [maxed]).
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 240 HP/252 Atk/16 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
- payback
- return
- wild charge
- poison jab

Bouffalant is my tanky physical sweeper. His can take grass move like nooby Breloom spore to his advantage. Even w/o the Atk boost, his stab return can almost always 1hko most pokemon. After the grass Atk boost, his return can 1hko pokemon like metagross (I've Done it!) and other physical bulks. Many people underestimate Bouffalant's potent physique as a bulky sweeper.
143.png

Duskinoir
@ Leftovers
Ability: pressure
EVs: 252 HP/28 Atk/228 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SpAtk)
- will-O-wisp
- pain split
- EQ
- thunderpunch

Duskinoir's 400 def stat is nothing to scoff at. He can take 2 or more Atk +1 outrages from a dragonite and live. He is my teams "annoyer" and dishes out the pain with pain split and thunderpunch. Thunderpunch is there for gyarados, as it can 1-2 a gyarados and he can still survive G-dos's Dragon Danced waterfall or earthquake. I sorta want to replace him, but my teams main weakness is fighting types and he is my only advantage by being a ghost type.
373.png

Cobalion
@ Choice Specs
Ability: justified
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpAtk/252 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- hidden power (dark)
- focus Blast
- flash cannon
- volt switch

Cobalion is my special Sweeper, who has 108 base speed and can outrun a lot of other pokes. Hidden power is dark to take out pokemon like gengar (who still outruns me) and other annoying pokes like Starmie (which volt switch works too). I normally pull out Cobalion when I sense a dark type move coming, like a payback from a Conkeldur. Justified boosts Atk which helps with my volt switch for easy escape. The only problem for Cobalion are those pesky fire/fighting type sweepers and gengar. Obviously they outspeed me so I can only hope that their moves miss or switch out.
376.png

Tyranitar
@ choice scarf
Ability: Sand storm
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- stone edge
- pursuit
- fire punch
- outrage

No one really expects a choiced TTar so here it is. His bulk already puts him at nice standings with most pokemon and his decent speed stat plus the scarf makes him outrun most pokemon without substantial speed stats (ie. outruns Galvantula, but not Infernape). Fire punch can catch ferrothorns and the other bug/steel type (i forget his name) off guard and possibly 1hko them. Outrage really takes people by suprise when all of a sudden their Dragonite that they're DDancing is 1hko'd. Stone edge is stab and pursuit is just for those pokemon that I know who are going to try to escape.
145.png

Tentacruel
@ Black Sludge
Ability: liquid ooze
EVs: 252 HP/96 Def/140 SpDef
Calm nature (+SpDef, -Atk)
- rapid spin
- hydro pump
- hidden power (Electric)
- toxic spikes

Tentacruel is just a spinner who can put out toxic spikes. Hydro pump is there for any gliscor's who try to sword dance (1hko) and HP elec. is there for other water types who are confused when I send out a Tentacruel against them. His SpDef stat can take 2-3 Thunders from most electric type pokemon. Also, black sludge is there instead of leftovers for the instance if I sense a trick coming it comes in handy.
________________________________________________________________

My main weaknesses are:
- Sandstorm Teams; basically a Sand Rush Excadrill can almost sweep my entire team and stab EQ's in sandstorm just kills me
- Extremely fast fighting types or mach punchers (ie. Conkeldurr/Hitmontop or Infernape/Blaziken)
- Stat boosters who get away with it; a 3x Specials+Speed Volarona will just poop all over my team and i can't do anything about it

Overall my team can take hits and still pull through and it just eats up sunny day and rain dance teams. Just very fast pokemon and sandstorm (sand rush is more like it) pose a serious threat.

PLEASE RATE MY TEAM AND GIVE ME SUSGESTIONS ON WHAT I CAN FIX TO MAKE IT AN ULTIMATE TEAM (ie. syngery, different movesets/pokemon etc.)

Thanks,
-Derpt34

hey, welcome to smogon! :)

1)for one thing, half your team is weak to ground, which may be causing your issues with excadrill, i would reccomend replacing tyranitar with a different scarfer, due to it not doing anything for your team.

2)another thing is that you are running poison jab on your bouffalant, why run poison jab to hit grass types when you can run megahorn to hit the same targets harder.

3) what exactly is the point of running specs on cobalion? coudn't you just run CM on it for the same boost along with the ability to switch moves? You should always run hidden power ice on a cobalion, it hit threats such as dragonite and salamence.

good luck, i hope you improve!

Hi, and welcome to Smogon.

Yeah, you're team has a lot more problems than you think.

First of all. Your Cobalion. I don't know what to say. First of all. Justified raises Attack, meaning switching into dark moves wont do jack shit for your special Volt Switch. You also say that you switch your Cobalion into Conkeldurrs, Conkeldurr can easily survive your 90 Base SpA Focus Blast garbage and heal up using Drain Punch. Your use of Cobalion makes me question your understanding of the game. In fact, I'm surprise you even have a steel type on your team in the first place. But thats probabl more of a coincidence than you knowing what to do. Your team literally has a 0% win chance against offensive sand teams. If I remove Cobalion, you're team would get raped by dragons even more than before, and you already lose to every dragon in the game except Latias. Drop Cobalion for a Bronzong.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Levitate
Sassy
252 Hp/ 84 Atk/ 80 Def/ 92 SpD/ 2 Speed IVs
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Hidden Power Ice
Stealth Rock

You also list Bouffalant as your answer to Breloom, which once again shows your lack of understanding of the metagame. You do realize that Focus Punch is one of the most common moves on Breloom right? Breloom is just going to Sub up, and laugh at your Bouffalant as it fails to get anything done except die. Oh, and not to mention your team has no answer to rain or sun at all. You do realize Rain and Sun are two of the most popular playstyles in the game right? If you want somebody to take grass hits. Go with a CB (thats a Choice Band in case you don't know) Dragonite. Dragonite also isn't a free kill for Breloom. Oh, and seeing the rest of your team, I bet you don't even know about Multi Scale. Just... don't use Inner Focus Superpower or something stupid like that okay?

Dragonite @ Choice Band
Multi Scale
Adamant
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
Outrage
Extremespeed
Fire Punch
Waterall

Next up. Your Tyranitar set is retarded. First of all, nobody on earth is scared of your Choice Scarf Pursuits and their shitty 60 base power. The only way for pursuit to work is to use it in conjunction with Crunch. Nobody is scared of your unSTABed 357 attack outrages either, it'll do pathetic damage to steels, and give your opponent a few free turns to set up/ or a free kill. Crunch over Outrage.

As well, Dusknoir is completely outclassed by Dusclops in 5th gen. And not even Dusclops is that great in OU. Dusknoir literally has no competitive viability. Dusknoir fails to wall anything due to its retardedly low Hp. Your EV spread makes no sense whatsoever, and good luck "dishing out the pain" with Pain Split and Thunderpunch. You literally have a weakness to every boosting sweeper in the game. Whether it be Dragonite, Volcorona, Terrakion, Scizor, Reuniclus, Salamence, Latias, Excadrill, Lucario, Landorus...

You know what? I can't do this. Someone else fix up this Quagmsire of a team.

No need to be so arrogant, you must know obviously by you first sentence that this is my first team ever... Thanks; I guess, for the feedback? I should probably just make a new new and scrap this one. Please don't respond to this and just read it; I really hate how easy a comment can turn into a troll fight.

-"Dun be a noob boi!"

bleh, I personally enjoy the whole initiation thing. And this team was an easy target for me to rip on. So... uhh... you pass initiation... welcome to Smogon.

Yeah, you'd probably be better to look at some other teams/ the Stratedex before diving straight in.
