Hello again!

So I've been trying out different teams and come up with something that's won me quite a few matches recently. The only team that seems to be beating me is Durant/Dugtrio (impossible to beat in my experience). Anywho, I've been doing well with this new team so far and wanted to share it.

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Iron Head

- Swords Dance

So moving away from the current Garchomp tanky SR moveset, I decided to take advantage of his sweeping capabilities. First of all, it's unexpected. Most people these days use him for setting up SR and using the Rocky Helmet/Rough Skin combo, but I have to say I can OHKO pretty much anything with a SD Outrage/Earthquake. Iron Head also easily takes care of fairies.

latest

Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Foul Play

In the past, I have gotten so pissed off with Mega-Sableye that I would pretty much just forfeit as soon as I saw it in the enemy team. So as they say, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. This guy is an absolute beast! Will-O-Wisp completely shuts down physical sweepers and force them to switch and Foul Play can take out the ones that are foolish enough to stick around. Knock Off is very useful to stop Leftovers tanks such as Clefable, Ferrothorn and other Mega-Sableye's.

starmie.gif

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Hydro Pump
- Psychic
- Ice Beam

Starmie here serves as my Rapid Spinner/Special wallbreaker. Hydro Pump can deal reasonably high damage with it's STAB bonus but I dislike the accuracy of it. Ice Beam is for dragon coverage and Psychic can also deal nice damage with it's STAB bonus. I can also use it to soak up a water type move when switching out Heatran.

ferrothorn.gif

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Protect
- Leech Seed

Ah Ferrothorn. I never wanted to use it for the sake of being different, but once again I found myself following the "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" motto. The RH/IB combo is just amazing to deal with physical attackers and Gyro Ball can deal some really nice damage with the STAB bonus and a snail-like 40 Spe. He also serves as my SR Pokémon, being one of the most used ones. Leech Seed is great for forcing switch outs and Protect is useful in any situation.

clefable.gif

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave

To be honest, I never liked Clefable until I swept a whole team with her. I thought "Yeah I'll give it a go, see what happens" and completely destroyed the enemy team. Thunder Wave shuts down squishy sweepers like Gengar, Weavile and Gyarados. Soft-Boiled is great when predicting a switch out or an enemy SD. Calm Mind really helps her sweeping capability, just 2 of them will let Moonblast 2HKO pretty much anything and OHKO super effectively. One of my favourite Pokémon now.

heatran.gif

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Finally, we have Heatran. He is sort of acting as a filler, whilst I find the right Pokémon to complete my team but he seems to be doing quite well offensively. I decided to not use him as a SR user as I already have Ferrothorn, and I didn't have any reliable Steel type counters. I took Flamethrower over Fire Blast as I hate missing. Hidden Power Ice is very useful as it can take Earthquake using dragons off guard. Earth Power and Flash cannon are just filling and can be used to attack Pokémon where Fire and Ice are useless.

So there we have it. I realise some movesets are slightly different than the usual and one in particular is very different *cough* Garchomp. It's winning me quite a few battles at the moment because of it unpredictability and I find it really fun to use, unlike the other teams I've tried creating. I'd appreciate some solid feedback on Heatran as I'm not sure if he's right for the last Pokémon in my team.

So thanks a lot for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Take care

Hello Divizoro.

First of all Durant+Dugtrio is a silly combo, and you shouldn't even be worried about losing to it. Just switch out after Durant has used Entrainment without KOing Durant, you also have mega sableye which cannot be trapped by dugtrio thanks to its ghost typing, so that's a very silly combo to deal with.

With this being said, let's move onto the rate. Firstly, you should replace Iron Head with Fire Fang on your Garchomp, as Skarmory completely walls it, and Iron Head doesn't have many utilities considering Earthquake threatens Fairy-types too.

Then, as Charizard-Y, Mega Gardevoir, and Life Orb Tornadus-Therian can potentially destroy your whole team, I'd suggest you to run specially defensive Talonflame over Heatran which works well not only as a nice Ground immunity, but also as a good stallbreaker. The hazards control granted by the likes of Sableye and Starmie allows you to play Talonflame safely in most occasions without taking annoying hazards damage. Talonflame can run Bulk Up as well. I'd suggest you to try out Bulk Up over Will-O-Wisp or Taunt just to see which is the best option for this team. Talonflame also gives you a sort of revenge-killer with priority Brave Bird, which is helpful since Clefable might have some problems against some variants with Power-Up-Punch.

At this point, since you need a more reliable way to remove entry hazards, you should use defensive Starmie, which gives you a very solid answer to Keldeo, since Clefable isn't so reliable against Choice Specs variants of Keldeo.

Finally, run Fake Out over Knock Off on Sableye. Metal Burst is a good option as well to get surprise kills, but it's way too situational if your team is meant to be used on the ladder. Put Chople Berry on Ferrothorn in order to have an additional one-time answer to Mega Lopunny and also +2 Mega Pinsir which otherwise 6-0es your team.

Just for reference, that's the best way not to lose from many OU threats, but if you want a better answer to Electric-types and Mega Pinsir, you ought to try either Hippowdon or Raikou over Garchomp, which seems to be put randomly in the team. Though, since your started building your team from Garchomp, I didn't feel like replacing it.

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 240 SpD / 24 Spe
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp

use itemless acrobatics to check weavile much better

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Psyshock

Good luck with your team and your future matches!

Ehy :)
I think that Spikes>Stealth Rock and Power Whip>Protect are a better option, Power Whip is a good move for ferrothorn because help you against Water Type such a Manaphy that are a weakness for this team. Chople Berry>Rocky Helmet is a good option, because this team don't need of Rocky Helmet and Chople Berry help you vs Gardevoir and Pinsir that destroy this team easily
Ferrothorn @ Chople Berry
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
Change Magma Storm>Flamethrower Stealth Rock>Hidden Power Ice and Taunt>Flash Cannon because your team need to Stallbreaker that help you vs stall team. Other good option is a Solar Beam Heatran for lure Rotom and Slowbro that is ia very good for Garchom sweep's
Heatran @ Air Balloon/Power Herb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon/Solar Beam
- Stealth Rock
I think that Substitute+Sword Dance garchomp is a better because give you at WinCondiction that need the team. I decide to run this spread for maximizing the damage of Garchomp, salac berry give you more speed after 3 substitute. Fire Blast is a other good option and help you vs Ferrothorn that is annoying for the team.
Garchomp @ Salac Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Substitute
I think that Sablaye is useless because the team is a very offensive and Sablaye keep out the Momentum, but if you want to keep him, I think that Calm Mind>Foul Play is a better option because give you a second wincon at the team. However a recommend you a Mega more offensive that help your team like Manectric that is good vs Offensive, help you vs Skermory and Ferrothorn, check tornadus-t, and bulky Water and give you a Volt Swich that help your Garchomp sweep.
Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Calm Mind

Or

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power Ice

Hope help you and gl with the team! :) I tried to change as little possible, while keeping Garchomp that I think is the main pokemon of your team. Good Evening!

Hi guys/girls

First off, thanks for taking the time to analyse my team :D I will definitely try out both of your ideas and see which gets me the furthest. I really like Iron Head on my Chomp but I'll try Fire Fang nonetheless :P

Thanks again!
