With an incredible Speed tier, strong ability in Infiltrator, and solid STAB moves targeting Pokemon like Spiritomb, Floatzel and Lanturn, Whimsicott is one of ZU's most threatening revenge killers and cleaners. U-turn allows Whimsicott to pivot quickly out of difficult matchups against the likes of Charizard and Weezing and allows it to bring frailer teammates like Jolteon and Oricorio-F in safely. Switcheroo cripples walls like Orthworm and Snorlax, but comes at the cost of Whimsicott's offensive utility being diminished. Tera Fairy boosts Moonblast's overall spammability, allowing Whimsicott to OHKO Beatric and Vikavolt after Stealth Rock and OHKO Dipplin, while also removing Whimsicott's Fire- and Ice-type weakness. Whimsicott's inability to break through Poison- and Steel-types like Magneton and Muk makes it appreciate having wallbreakers like Hisuian Sneasel and Sandslash around to help break down these threats. Whimsicott also enjoys having entry hazards from the beforementioned Sandslash as well as other Pokemon like Mesprit and Nalstack to help slowly chip away opposing Pokemon to get into range of Whimsicott's attacks.
