ORAS OU My Clefable Balance(?) Team.

The team:

bisharp.gif
manectric-mega.gif
skarmory.gif
landorus-therian.gif
gliscor.gif

Record thus far: 6-2
The team is based on the incredible power of Calm Mind Clefable, the attacking power and speed of M-Manectric, and the toughness of Gliscor, Lando-T and Skarmory. It's both bulky and offensively powerful, with some good typing cores to boot.

clefable.gif

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Flamethrower
Clefable is a very powerful Pokemon in this generation, due to it's Calm Mind, mixed with natural bulk, allowing him to get a few Calm Minds, and if left unchecked, can snowball out of control. While starters lay entry hazards, Clefable will Calm Mind, and has Flamethrower to take out those pesky Ferrothorns. His Fairy typing makes him weak to really only Poison (because of Flamethrower). He's my normal lead and the base of the team.

manectric-mega.gif

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Mega Manectric is my second (and quickest) attacker on the team. His speed is very hard to outmatch when Mega'd, and has tremendous attacking power. He's capable of taking out threats such as Thundo-T, Keldeo, Talonflame (after Brave Bird), M-Scizor, and Skarmory, as well as do good damage to others. He's also got Volt Switch for checks against him like Lando-T or Hippowdon. I gave him HP Water so he can take out low-health Rock or Ground types.

bisharp.gif

Bisharp @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 116 HP / 204 Atk / 92 SpD / 96 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
After the first two Mons who I chose to be my core, I decided to go for a bulky attacker who gives me a little more type coverage, and will have a 2x effective move vs annoying fairies (*cough*Navi*cough*), and cover some Psychic types. It's also a nice utility to be able to knock off lefties, berries, assault vests, or the like.

skarmory.gif
(Previously Heatran)
Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 228 HP / 76 Atk / 4 Def / 200 SpD
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Skarmory is very bulky and provides a check for Fairy types as well as Serperior and a few others. He can stall with Roost and Toxic. I thought it was more important to have my own Rocks instead of Defog, since my team isn't too weak to rocks, while others can be. Simply put, he's a nice staller and wall. I replaced Heatran with him because I felt Heatran wasn't doing enough, and that Skarmory could provide more efficiency and utility.

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
Lando-T provides some nice bulk and a check to lightning types like Manectric and Rotom-W's TBolt, and can U-Turn before Rotom uses Hydro Pump or Scald. He's also got some attacking potential, and good type coverage with his moves. He's also nice to put in vs. physical attackers, using intimidate to cripple them. He's a good pivot, using U-Turn, and is just a nice utility Mon to have.

gliscor.gif

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 8 Def / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Roost
A great staller. Gliscor's Toxic Orb/Poison Heal combo is very tough to deal with and makes him an effective staller. Opponents who can't counter his nice typing will switch out, giving him time to Swords Dance, and become a major offensive threat. I made him bulky to be able to outlast opponents in the end game, and made him more effective at that with Roost. EQ for STAB, and Knock Off for annoyances in the end-game. All-in-all, Gliscor is annoying to deal with and can be great in the end game, or when providing a check to Tbolt users.

I think that are things to improve, for example Hidden Power Water on Manectric is bad, Why you don't use Hidden Power Ice>Hidden Power Water that hit really good Latios and kill Landorus-T after Stealth Rock? Also hit Ground Type really well.
Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Ice
Also you don't need to Pursuit Bisharp in this team because you have Clefable that check Latios/Latias, also uou need a really win-con that abuse of the Momentum that Manectric and Landorus create with.Volt Switch and U-turn: for this reason my suggest is to try Sword Dance Bisharp that gives you a really win-con. Also my suggest is to use Jolly Nature to outspeed Defensive Landorus-T, Adamant Altaria and Rotom-W that is really important in many cases.
Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
You have two intimidate user (Landorus and Manectric) and 0 check for Bisharp that destroy this team after Boost, also Bisharp has many chances to Setup For example against Skarmory. For this reason my suggest is to use Keldeo>Skarmory. Keldeo gives you a good answer against this problem and gives you a good support against Stall Team, that are really annoying for this team.
Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind
Also the hazard are important, use Stealth Rock>Knock Off on Landorus, and Stone Edge>Rock Slide because is stronger.
Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
Keldeo is annoying and Serperior destroy this team, for this reason my suggest is to try Tornadus-T>Gliscor that helps against this problem.
Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 96 HP / 160 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Summary of the changes:
  • Keldeo>Skermory
  • The set on Bisharp
  • The set on Manectric
  • The set on Landorus
  • Tornadus>Gliscor

Alright, thanks, I'll give it all of these a try, except for HP Ice. I had HP Ice before, and I literally did not use it once.
Appreciate it.

One more thing. How do I make a spoiler? I tried to do it for the replay links, but it didn't work.

How did you literally not ever use hp ice? How can you even say hp water is more useful than hp ice? Everything hit by hp water is hit just as hard by hp ice except a pure rock type, which is hit harder by thunderbolt anyways. The only reason to use hp water is for rock/ground types, which are not really too common in OU, most have poor enough spdef that they are 2hkoed by hp ice anyways. So many top pokemon are 4x weak to ice like landorus, garchomp, etc.
