This team has no pokes that are used for any other purpose than attacking; meaning there are no trick users, hazard layers, etc.
This team is just about using good typing with ok synergy to win:
1st Up:
Ferrothorn (M) @ Rugged Helmet
Trait: Iron Thorns
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Gyro Ball
- Curse
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
OK so this ferrothorn is different from the rest by having offense put into it with no spikes or SR, etc. The rugged helmet is to make those iron barbs have little extra help. The gyro ball + curse combo isn't to bad considering it will add defense, offense, and make gyro ball more powerful with the speed reduction. This way I can still make him faster then some other ferrothorn and FB Reuniclus. Power Whip for STAB, Leech Seed for Health Regen.
2nd.
Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
I chose this Latias over Latios because I favored its better defensive qualitites; however she is still in sweeper form (ev's to Spd and SpA) Calm Mind is to again, like ferro, increase it magnificent defensive abilities and increase striking power. Draco Meteor for STAB (I chose this over Dragon Pulse just for power to keep up with Latios), Psychic for STAB, Thunderbolt for coverage so that he can hit water types with potential Ice attacks.
3rd.
Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Facade
This Gliscor is just to set-up with SD and sweep with OK coverage. EQ for STAB, Stone Edge for pesky Gyarados, and I don't think alot of people think of this: Poison Heal + Toxic Orb Recov. + with Facade Toxic Bonus.
4th.
Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
Now, I'm not sure if the Life Orb counts for Sheer Force bonus, I think it does personally because it does cancel out the Life Orb's recoil. This Nidoking is great when it comes to coverage, plus nobody really expects the SpA side for a surprise to me; Earth Power is STAB, Ice Beam, Fire Blast, Thunderbolt are all Coverage. He also can be used to automatically get rid of Toxic Spikes ;]
5th.
Jellicent (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Scald
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split
This Jellicent was fitted out for both taking and dishing SpA damge; especially when it comes to taking out Gengar. Scald for STAB (over hydro pump or surf b/c of burn) Energy Ball for other water types being that he will be used to block water attacks with Water Absorb, Shadowball for STAB, Pain Split over Recover so that I can gain some health back, and weaken the opponet - not sure if this is a good idea.
6th.
Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
CB Scizor packs one helluva punch for my team being able to take off certain balloons for my other Ground-attacks to use. The U-turn for STAB, Pursuit for fleeing Renuiclus, Latias, Latious, etc. Bullet Punch for Priority STAB, Superpower for Coverage.
Now the Synergy in typing:
Ferrothorn Main Threats - Fire, Fighting
Fire/Fighting - Jellicent/Latias
Fighting - Gliscor, Nidoking, Scizor
Latias Main Threats - Dark, Bug, Ice, Dragon, Ghost
Dark/Bug/Dragon/Ghost - Scizor, Ferrothorn
Bug - Nidoking, Jellicent
Ice - Jellicent, Ferrothorn?
Gliscor Main Threats - Ice, Water, Rock
Ice - Jellicent, Ferrothorn?
Water - Jellicent, Ferrothorn, Latias
Rock - Ferrothorn, Scizor
Nidoking Main Threats - Ice, Ground, Psychic, Water
Ice - Jellicent, Ferrothorn?
Water - Jellicent, Ferrothorn, Latias
Psychic - Jellicent, Ferrothorn, Scizor
Ground - Gliscor, Latias
Jellicent Main Threats - Ghost, Grass, Electric, Dark
Dark/Ghost - Scizor, Ferrothorn
Grass - Ferrothorn, Latias, Gliscor?, Nidoking?, Scizor
Electric - Ferrothorn, Latias, Gliscor, Nidoking
Note:
I've played this team over and over with different pokes, but this is the current one; past pokes I've used include:
Terrakion with Life Orb, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Stone Edge, X-Scissor
(Had Latias' Spot)
Reuniclus with Life Orb + Magic Guard, Calm Mind, Recover, Psychic, Focus Blast
(Had Latias' Spot)
Chandelure with Life Orb, Flash Fire, Fire Blast, Pain Split, Psychic, Shadow Ball
(Had Latias' Spot)
Sharpedo (I was feeling lucky) Speed Boost, Life Orb, Crunch, Waterfall, Protect, Aqua Jet
(Had Jellicent's Spot, While Latias was on the team; I mention this because his spot has been used alot --^)
Please Help and Suggest :D
