National Dex My First Attempt At Teambuilding

Hello! This team was built with Mega Scizor as my focal point for this team and I think it turned out well, but then again I’m pretty new at this whole thing so I’m wondering what I can do to make it better.

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Roost
Scizor was my starting point because it can hit really hard, is bulky and is also just cool looking. He is a Physical Sweeper that works a lot of the time, his biggest issue that I noticed is if something resists his bullet punches he can’t do very much. He semi functions as a tank because of the way his EVs are spread which allows him to wall a lot of hard hitting earthquakes.

Garchomp @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Scale Shot
Garchomp is a great teammate for Scizor, it covers all of its weaknesses basically and is a pretty functional Wallbreaker. It’s job is to deal with most of the the things that Scizor cant (like basically any fire type) and it can sweep entire teams pretty easily if the opponent isnt careful. With scale shot his speed just keeps increasing until the opponent can’t deal with it anymore.

Pangoro @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
- Drain Punch
Pangoro is here to counter a lot of really hard hitting Pokémon that the rest of the team can’t really. It hits ghost types pretty hard and deals with annoying walls like blissey. I did notice he’s pretty frail though.

Mr. Rime @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Screen Cleaner
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Energy Ball
This is my hazard removal. Rapid spin gets rid of all standard hazards and his ability gets rid of screens. He works pretty well to hit a lot of Pokémon for a lot of damage…. Well if he lives.

Rotom-Heat @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Toxic
- Pain Split
Rotom Heat is here mostly for coverage. It works as a semi-support mon with the ability to output a lot of damage. It deals with corviknight pretty well which otherwise is a massive issue with this team.

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpD
Calm Nature
- Whirlpool
- Moonblast
- Nature's Madness
- Taunt
Tapu Fini is my primary tank. It functions pretty well as a wall and can switch into most attacks. It’s almost invaluable against really hard hitters and can deal with said hard hitters pretty well.
