my first competitive team UBER TEAM

Hello everyone I’m pretty new in the smogon community and this is my first competitive team, I don’t have much experience so I really need a help to improve this team: please comment and rate!!

In-depth description:

Deoxys-S@Focus Sash
Nature: Timid
Evs: 252HP 252Spe 4Spdef
Moves:
Spikes
Stealth Rock
Light Screen
Taunt
The almost-standard deoxys-s lead, I’ve run some damage calcs and I saw that with light screen deoxys doesn’t get 2HKOed by a wide amount of attacks, so it is often able to set up stealth rock and a layer of spikes if I’m lucky, if I see a support lead like a groudon I taunt him, then I proceed to set up stealth-rock and then light screen or spikes. I usually like setting up a light screen ‘cause it helps a lot with the switch-ins due to the special attack based uber metagame and also helps
deoxys-s taking some more attacks

arceus-278x300.png

Arceus@Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Evs: 252Atk 152Hp 100Def
Moves
Swords Dance
Extremespeed
Shadow Claw
Earthquake
This is my late game sweeper but I like sending it early in the game to scout for the counters (I usually send him after the death of deo-s and immediately switch out). After stealth rock damage and a single swords dance extremespeed can OHKOs everything that doesn’t invest in defenses and 2HKOs everything that doesn’t resist to it so if there isn’t any real counter, it can sweep half a team or more before running out of pp. The sole reliable counters are giratina in both its forms and ghost-type arceus, giratina in his first form is easily handled by the other members of the team, although giratina-o is still a problem since it completely walls my arceus.

Mewtwo.jpg

Mewtwo@leftovers
Nature: Timid
Evs: 252Spatk 252Spe 4HP
Moves
Taunt
Calm Mind
Ice beam
Aura Sphere
I love this mewtwo: it can come in on a wall, taunt it and then set up, after two calm minds there aren’t many pokemon which can take an attack from this thing and with the boost in special defense it becomes also quite bulky. It’s my main switch-in to giratina if it doesn’t carry shadow ball: mewtwo can taunt giratina and set up on it quite easily. It can also revenge kill non choice scarfed darkrai since it’s faster and OHKOs darkrai with aura sphere.

kyogre4.jpg

Kyogre@leftovers
Nature: Modest
Evs: 252Spatk 252Spdef 4HP
Moves
Calm Mind
Surf
Ice Beam
Thunder
This is another special sweeper but it can be used also as a special wall because of its high special defense and the calm mind boost. It can come in on ghost-type arceus and may 2HKO with surf even after an arceus’ calm mind. It is also my main switch in against palkia. I’m thinking about changing him with the resttalker version because I really need a sleep absorber to counter scarfed darkrais.

Dialga@choice scarf
Nature: Timid
Evs: 252Spatk 252Spe 4HP
Moves
Draco Meteor
Aura Sphere
Dragon Pulse
Thunder
Standard choice scarf dialga, it’s my revenge killer, it can come in when a pokemon dies for a revenge kill, it also have some useful resistances against a lot of things that can threaten my team: for example it can switch in a +2 life orb rayquaza extremespeed, these resistances also allow him to switch in and out quite easily.
Credit to crunchatize me for suggesting this.
Lugia.png

Lugia
Nature: Bold
Evs: 252HP 52Def 204Spe
Moves
Reflect
Light Screen/Ice Beam
Whirlwind
Roost
The standard lugia, I found it really helpful for this team because I lack a physical wall and my evs spreads are made to take more special hits than physical, also whirlwind is very useful against things like set up sweepers and if I managed to set up entry hazards with deo-s it also cause damage to the switch-in making the job much easier for arceus and my other sweepers. Ice beam or Light screen? I find light screen very useful in the mid-game when the previous screen’s gone but it also makes lugia vulnerable to taunt…

My English is horrible so I can’t write as much as I would, I hope the description are long enough.

I don't know too much about Ubers, but I can tell you this:

A superior spread for that Deoxys would be 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SpD so that you could get a little bulk on both ends of the spectrum. Drop Light Screen for either Superpower (for Darkrai, the rare Tyranitar) or Shadow Ball. If you use Superpower, then make Deoxys have a Jolly (+Spe, -SpA) nature; if you use Shadow Ball (to hit other Deoxys leads), make Deoxys have a Timid (+Spe, -Atk) nature. The plus speed natures are important just to outspeed opposing Deoxys; beating them to the Taunt. Replace Light Clay with either Lum Berry or Focus Sash. Lum helps against status leads like Scarfrai and T-Wave Groudon; Focus Sash will help you recover from a bad prediction.

Arceus:

Arceus won't be unbanned until a little bit longer iirc, but I'll rate nonetheless. ExtremeSpeed Arceus benefits most from a 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD spread. This is to obtain maximum bulkiness on Physical and Special attacks.

Finally, I suggest you change your Choice Scarf Palkia to a Choice Scarf Dialga. This is because (I give you credit, Rayquaza would be hard-pressed to set up) if SD Ray comes in and SD's up, he can KO your entire team with ExtremeSpeed / Dragon Claw. Since Scarfed Dialga resists ExtremeSpeed and outspeeds Ray, it should patch up the weakness nicely.

As I mentioned earlier I don't know much about Ubers; there are likely huge gaping weaknesses that I don't see.

probably you're right, I'll make the changes later, something else to say? should I keep a calm mind kyogre or change him in a restalker?

Um... Let's see, there are lots of things to change, I would replace arceus(banned) and get a giratina-o. Giratina-O might sound awkward to you, but he is a great sweeper and works as a wall with 150/100/100 stats.a set with Calm mind/dragon pulse/shadow ball/aura sphere works great for me. I hope you can test it!

I already have 2 calm mind sweeper so I don't feel the need of another one, perhaps arceus can be replaced with SD rayquaza but it's much less bulky and stealth rock hits it hard...

Deoxys: Standard. I run into the Sashed version that gets to set up 2 entry hazards more often than this set, but this is nonetheless effective. Because of that, you might want to replace the Light Clay with a Focus Sash so it gets a chance to increase defense AND get Stealth Rock off. The Light Screen won't last as long without the Clay, but the rest of your team will be able to live long enough to do some damage to your opponent, which is more important in the offense-centered Uber metagame.

Arceus: It's banned for now, but with the 12th Movie coming, it won't be for much longer. That said, it's fine as is.

Mewtwo: With a Modest Nature, it actually can't beat a non-Scarf Darkrai. Assuming the Darkrai is Timid, at max speed for both, your Modest Mewtwo will only have 359 Speed, while Darkrai has 383. A Timid Mewtwo with 252 EV's hits 394 Speed. Also, Mewtwo's relatively frail on both Defense and SpDef. This is just a suggestion for increasing damage against Darkrai, but you might want to use Expert Belt. With Belt, an Aura Sphere is guaranteed to KO it without any SpDef, but I'd have to run damage calcs to see what happens if a no-CM Lefties Mewtwo uses it.

Dialga: The Speed and SpA stats are the same as Kyogre's. The Pokemon that threaten it (ie ScarfChomp, which usually won't switch in fearing a Draco Meteor or Dragon Pulse) can outspeed it even if it's Timid, but a full health Dialga isn't OHKO'd by unboosted Fighting or Ground attacks. Because it's very rarely OHKO'd, I would go with Modest and Scarf.

Kyogre and Lugia: Fine as is.

Deoxys-S may want a speed boosting nature or else opposing Deoxys-S leads will Taunt you, crippling your lead. Then they can get up Stealth Rock and Spikes almost without fail. If you give yours a Speed boosting nature and max speed, you can at least force a speed tie and you could potentially Taunt them, allowing you to setup while they are forced to switch out.

Arceus is banned still. =x

Since you're going to be boosting your own special attack, I'd recommend making Mewtwo Timid instead of Modest. The extra speed will come in handy since you can boost your spatk but not your speed. There are also another 4 EVs that you can put in another stat. You could consider putting them in HP or Def.

Kyogre: You might want to give some Speed if he's going to be sweeping. Like move those SpDef EVs over into Speed. And you mentioned he's setting up Rain for Palkia ... but you aren't using Palkia. I guess you could put Palkia in over Arceus. My personal opinion is that I don't like using the same concept of Pokemon on the same time, so I'd suggest changing Kyogre from a CM version to a Specs version.

Dialga: Modest outruns all non-speed boosted Ubers that aren't Deoxys-S. If you want to stop other Scarf'd Pokes you could go for Timid.

I'd use Ice Beam on Lugia so that you could beat Adamant Rayquaza.

If you need a Sleep Absorber, you could replace Arceus with a Sleep Talking

I only skimmed your team, but heres 1 thing I'd do: On my uber team I use Dark Arceus because of the myriads of Psychic types in ubers. With Judgment, you have a 100 BP STAB that's Super-Effective against Psychic types such as Mewtwo, Deoxys, Lati@s, etc

Kyogre: You might want to give some Speed if he's going to be sweeping. Like move those SpDef EVs over into Speed. And you mentioned he's setting up Rain for Palkia ... but you aren't using Palkia.

I'm sorry I changed palkia with dialga and I forgot to change kyogre's description, thank you for all the suggestions, I'm going to test them.
