My first competitive team

There might be some bad things since I've played Pokemon since yellow but just now wanted to get in the competitive seen cause i like 2 of the new Pokemon so here's my team.

Forretress
252 evs in Hp and Def
Item: Quick Claw, Ability: Sturdy
Moveset: Stealth Rock, Protect, Volt Switch, and Toxic Spikes

I was recommended this by a few people to use a Forretress and that hazards are good cause I never used one and I see now their amazing.
---------
Mienshao 252 evs in Speed and Att
Item: Focus Sash, Ability: Regenerator
Moveset: Poison Jab, U-Turn, High Jump Kick, and Fake Out

I skipped 5th gen as most Pokemon were ugly but this fighting type really peeked my interest and I wanted to take advantage with that nice ability and the U-Turn it can learn.
---------
Gourgiest 252 evs in Health and Def
Item: Flame Orb, Ability: Frisk
Moveset: Trick, Pain Split, Trick Room, and Destiny Bond

As I said above 2 Pokemon made me wanna do competitive and this is one, I don't know why but I just like it and think itll be a annoying thing to deal with if not kill sooner.
---------
Flygon 252 evs in Speed and Att
Item: Choice Band, Ability: Levitate
Moveset: Rock Slide, Superpower, Dragon Tail, and Dragon Claw

I originally used Goodra as it was super bulky to fairy due to high SpDef but i wanted another attacker besides Mienshao to due magical things and decided on Flygon to be that one.
---------
Lilligrant evs are 252 in speed, 180 in SpAttack, and 84 in Attack
Item: Wide Lens, Ability: Chlorophyll
Moveset: Petal Blizzard, Giga Drain, Quiver Dance, and Sleep Powder

This is the other reason why I wanted to play competitively, I just love this pokemon and the reason for the attack ivs is because its nature is Lonely so it has plus attack so I was thinking giving it some more.
---------
Ampharos evs in 252 SpAtt and HP
Item: Mega Stone, Ability: Static
Moveset: Power Gem, Dragon Pulse, Thunderbolt, and Signal Beam

I'm Well aware Amphy is in NU but i feel like the mega stone gives her a chance to be amazing :)
---------

So I'm guessing that it's a bad team but I would still like some advice and see what people think of it
I do have a bigger variety to choose from but this is the team that i thought would be good to work or try out for my first competitive team so if you can offer any advice please I would appreciate it :)

Some advice:
Forretress is certainly good for utility, but usually rapid spin is usually a good idea to counter other entry hazards, so try to include that.
Flygon is good, but you might consider replacing it with a Grachomp, since they have the same type if that is something you're looking for, but Garchomp is faster and hits much harder
You seem to be using lilligant for the purposes of sleep, but I might suggest brellom as an alternative, with much greater offence and a 100% accuracy sleep move.
I don't completely understand the flame orb on the gourgiest, since its not like conkeldurr and will actually suffer from the status condition. Leftovers may offer an appropriate substitute.
I hope some of this helped.

Flame orb is to sit there and use trick to give them the Flame Orb and take their Leftovers or other items
and for Lilligrant im using it for sleep and mix attacking since alot of pokemon in the game are water with their 3 Egg groups and all but i will get a breloom just in case cause that is a good idea I forgot it had Spore
Yeah I'm aware Garchomp is better but i don't wanna use to many OU pokemon cause then people will expect it more then a NU or RU pokemon

Makes sense that you want to use original things, except I find flygon is just a weaker garchomp, with very similar moves and the same typing, so I would counter a flygon the same way I would counter a garchomp.

Rock slide is good, but usually preferred in doubles. garchomp can learn it as well.

sorry, but you need to have a minimum of three lines of descriptions for all of your pokemon. pm me your updated descriptions and I'll unlock your thread.
