My First Competitive Team

The Lead


Scizor @ Choice Band


Ability: Technician


Nature: Adamant


Evs: 250 Hp/252 Atk/8 SpD

• • U-Turn
  • Bullet Punch
  • Pursuit
  • Arial Ace

Scizor is for the most part my go to lead, i use him to scout my opponents pokemon. U-turn is used to get away from pokemon he cant damage or counters him. Other moves utilize his ability and are used for coverage/damage.


Tanky Attacker


Aegislash @ Leftovers


Ability: Stance Change


Nature: Brave


Evs: 200 Hp/210 Atk/50 Def/50 SpD ( not really sure what that best EVs are for him)

  • Swords Dance
  • Shadow Sneak
  • Sacred Sword

Aegislash is my tanky attacker, i use him for his good resistances and his ability to tank damage and also be able to put out a lot of damage. The moves are pretty common, Sacred Sword for coverage, etc.


Physical Wall


Slowbro @ Leftovers


Ability: Regenerator


Nature: Bold


Evs: 252 Hp/252 Def/6 SpA

• • Scald
  • Ice Beam
  • Thunder Wave
  • Slack off

Slowbro is my go to physical tank, he cant take out alot of hits and dish out decent damage. I use Scald and Ice Beam for coverage and damage. I use Thunder Wave so i can in most case attack first and have priority on slack off for health recovery. Regenerator owns too for him.


Special Wall/Physical Wall


Sylveon @ Leftovers


Ability: Cute Charm


Nature: Bold


Evs: 252 Hp/252 Def/6 SpA

  • Protect
  • Moonblast
  • Shadowball/toxic (not sure what is best)

Sylveon is used to take on many attackers (special/physical), and is able to deal good damage. I use Moonblast and Shadow Ball for damage and coverage. I use Wish for some sustain and to heal a pokemon i can switch in and Protect is to recover with Wish/Leftovers.







Physical Sweeper


Blaziken @ Blazikenite


Ability: Speed Boost


Nature: Adamant


Evs: 252 Atk/252 Spe/6 Hp

• • High Jump Kick
  • Flare Blitz
  • Earthquake
  • Sword Dance

Blaziken is my sweeper, if im able to get of 1-2 Sword Dances i have possibilty to sweep whole team. Sword Dance is used when opponent switches out, other moves are for damage and coverage.


Special Sweeper


Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf


Ability: Adaptibility


Nature: Modest


Evs: 252 SpA/252 Spe/6 Hp

• • Tri Attack
  • Dark Pulse
  • Hidden Power Fighting
  • Trick

Porygon-Z is my special sweeper/revenge killer, he can take out alot of pokemon if set up right. Tri Attack has amazing damage and has the chance of burn,paralyze, freeze. Dark pulse for ghost and HP fighting for coverage. Trick for the setup pokemon.



I would appreciate some help on what would be the best special sweeper for my team. I chose Porygon-Z because i didn’t really know another special sweeper that would go good with my team. Any other opinions or comments on a better Pokemon that can take someone’s place or a move that would go better, etc. would be welcome too. Any help at all would be awesome, this is my first competitive team so I’m still learning the ropes. Going to be using this team for wifi-battles for the most part. Thank you for the help!

Im going to help you but you need to have a minimum of three lines of description for each pokemon.If you dont a staff member will lock your thread.

Blazekin is not in the OU tier its ubers so it will not allow you to use it in OU.

Try Maybe Mega-Lucario or Talon Flame. If you want my preferred set reply with the pokemon you want.

Sylveon is no where near a physcial wall it can take any physical hits what so ever so try Heatran
