So first of all, I'm new to the site, and I think I finally want to get serious about pokemon battles. So I made my first team using pokemon that I liked appearance-wise, but I thought could still pack a punch, and I wanted to know how well I did. I designed it specifically for doubles battles. My six pokemon I decided to include are:

Timid (+Spd, -Atk)
Item: Heat Rock
EVs: 156 Hp/252 Sp Atk/100 Spd
Moveset:
Magnet Rise
Thunderbolt
Sunny Day
Explosion
Flygon (M)
Levitate
Lonely (+Atk, - Def)
Item: Life Orb
EVs: 252 Atk/80 Sp Atk/176 Spd

Starmie
Natural Cure

Item: Damp Rock
EVs: 128 HP/148 Def/16 Sp Atk/216 Spd
Moveset:
Rain Dance
Surf
Thunder
Ice Beam
Parasect (M)
Dry Skin
Adamant (+Atk, -Sp Atk)
Item: Focus Sash
EVs: 252 Hp/252 Atk/4 Spd
Moveset:
Spore
X-Scissor
Seed Bomb
Screech
Skarmory (M)
Sturdy
Impish (+ Def, -Sp Atk)
Item: Metal Coat
EVs: 252 Hp/96 Atk/152 Def/8 Spd
Moveset:
Brave Bird
Roost
Steel Wing
Rock Slide
Explanation:
I wanted my Ninjask and Magnezone to lead the team. I created for two possiblities of action. In either case, Ninjask would subsitute and start Swords Dancing for a switch-in.
1) Opponent Starts With a Fire or Fast Ground Pokemon
In this case, I would immediately switch Magnezone out for Starmie to take out the opposing fire or ground pokemon. After two rounds of swords Dancing, I would baton Pass in my Parasect for Ninjask. Speed and attack would be passed on to bulk up Parasect. assuming, Starmie has not already enabled, Rain Dance, i would use it now. This would increase Starmie's Surf strength while also healing Parasect each round because of his Dry Skin ability. Surf damages both opponent's pokemon and heals Parasect.
2)Opponent Does Not Start With Fire or Fast Ground Pokemon
In this case, I would have Magnezone use Magnet Rise to protect from any future ground pokemon. Then it would use Sunny Day to prepare for the switch in. Once Ninjask has accumulated enough attack stat, he would baton pass in Flygon. Now flygon has increased attack power to deal damage with his wide type coverage, and can also use Solarbeam with only one turn.
So that's the workings of my team. I spent a while designing movesets that would work together well, but I"m afraid they might not work as well as i think they will. Any help will be appreciated.
