My First Ever RMT.

~Introduction~
I'm relatively new to the forum and I've been playing Pokemon now for about a good solid month. I signed up here on Smogon because I thought it was great that you could post up teams and people would rate them and all that. This place is also cool because you can get a tutor if you aren't doing so well or need help in a certain field of Pokemon. The team below I have been playing on the ladder and I capped at number 47th and then lost a game to hax. Not bad for only two days of playing on Shoddy. Anyways, I'm posting this up because I've tried everything on my own to improve it but it just didn't happen and now I'm turning here for some help.

~The Team~

swampert.png

Swampert
Relaxed Nature
252 HP 252 DEF 4 ATK
Leftovers

Stealth Rock
Ice Beam
Roar
Earthquake

I picked Swampert as a lead because he has nice defense and counters against leads such as Heatran, Metagross and fairs nicely against Jirachi and Magnezone(if it doesn't have HP Grass) and a lot of other things. Swampert has nice defense and is easy enough to set up Stealth Rocks with.

skarmory.png

Skarmory
Impish Nature
252 HP 252 DEF 4 SPE
Shed Shell

Spikes
Whirlwind
Roost
Brave Bird

I picked Skarmory because of his high defense evs and the ability to Whirlwind things away. Skarmory is a good switch in and is easy enough to use to build up your Spikes while Roosting off damage from it's physical does. I might change this version to the Taunt version but I'm not sure yet because I like Brave Bird. If a lot of people suggest it I'll replace it with the Taunt version. Skarmory also serves as a phazer for the team.

98px-479Rotom-Mow.png

Rotom-C
Bold Nature
252 HP 168 DEF 88 SPE
Leftovers

Will-O-Wisp
Leaf Storm
Shadow Ball
Thunder Bolt

I choose Rotom-C for this team because he is a good counter against opposing Skarmorys, Metagrosses, Lucarios, Swamperts, and many other things. I love to burn the incoming Tyrannitars and then I get a better chance to set up.

ani242.gif

Blissey
Bold Nature
252 DEF 202 HP 56 SAtk
Leftovers

Seismic Toss
Ice Beam
Softboiled
Thunder Wave/AromaTherapy

What is a stall team without every persons favorite fat fairy Blissey? I picked Blissey because it's amazing at absorbing special attacks and it's good to dish right back at pokemon with Seismic Toss and Ice Beam. I want to test Wish Bliss over this but am not sure yet.

tyranitar.png

Tyranitar
Jolly Nature
252 ATK 252 SPE
Choice Scarf

Pursuit
Crunch
Earthquake
Stone Edge

I choose Tyranitar for this team because he is good at eliminating those pesky Gengars, Rotoms, and Latises. Scarf is to outspeed non choice Latias, Gengar, and Rotom and coming close to ohkoing them.

380.png

Latias
Timid Nature
252 HP 252 SPE
Leftovers

Roar
Dragon Pulse
Reflect
Recover

Latias is a good cover for almost everything on the team and can set up nicely with Reflect and heal itself.

~Conclusion~
I know that this RMT was posted in a sloppy matter but I just wanted to post up this team. I know I need TONS of help with this team and I want to hit 1550 with it(highest is 1479 so far). Please give reasons and explanations with any fixes you post and I appreciate the rate and help of anybody who posts in this thread.

I just wrote a huge rate and lost it, so this is going to be somewhat more brief:

-Your Latias and Tyranitar have 4 EVs missing. HP for Tar, Def for Latias

-Try WishBliss, and if that doesn't work, wish Latias. This is valuable for a stall team, since half of your team has no recovery. I would suggest Flamethrower/Twave.

-Try Forretress over Skarm. This provides Toxic Spikes and Rapid Spin. If you have Wish support, you need recovery less, and you already have two phazers. I would suggest a SpDef spread in either case, to set up on special attackers, and in Forry's case, help beat some spinners and spin blockers. Physical defence is still good with no investment. Forretress also does more damage to DDmence locked into outrage, I should add, with Gyro ball.

-Try Superpower over EQ on Scarf Tar. Infernape takes about 80% from SE. CM Jirachi is dealt with by Latias, Blissey and Swampert anyway. This helps you to revenge other TTar, who will be a problem if you use Forry in particular. It is also more powerful when neutral, and is less easy to set up on than EQ (it at least does some damage to most targets.)

-You are in need of a "win condition" - you have problems against last poke crocune for example. I would suggest CM Latias, as this can easily sweep a weakened team. You could try Scarf Latias, as it would do this with Trick, and help to beat DDmence and Gyarados, but I am not sure about two scarfers on a stall team.

Hope I helped and good luck.

You need to expand your descritpions, especially TTar and Latias, as they're not up to rule 3:

RMT rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.

Take a look at the RMT archive to see what kind of descriptions we are looking for. Try to explain the reasons why you picked those sets and the role your Pokemon play on your team. PM me the fixed descriptions and I'll unlock this thread.
