My First Gen 5 Team

Hey all, this is my team Black, I was wondering what you thought of it, improvements, criticisms and suchlike.

Haxorus @ Choice Scarf
Jolly Nature
4HP/252Atk/252Speed
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Brick Break
-Outrage/Rock Slide

My lead and physical sweeper, a Choice Scarf Haxorus. This guy has an amazing attack stat, and with a scarf he can outspeed plenty of pokes, and hit them hard with a nice variety of moves. I am not entirely sure about the last move, Outrage can be useful but I already have a reliable and powerful dragon type move, whereas Rock Slide gives important coverage.

Volcarona @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
252Sp.Atk/252Speed/6Defense
-Quiver Dance
-Bug Buzz
-Flamethrower
-Hurricane/Psychic

Volcarona, the amazing special sweeper I met in game. With one Quiver Dance, and supported by the Life Orb, it hits incredibly hard on the special side of the spectrum. I was thinking Psychic for the final move but Hurricane is more powerful and has the added bonus of confusion. Sadly it is totally crippled by Stealth Rock, which is why the next pokemon is a necessity:

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid Nature
4HP/252Sp.Atk/252Speed
-Rapid Spin
-Recover
-Surf
-Thunderbolt

Starmie is the rapid spinner on this team, to ensure Volcarona (and later on, Weavile) aren't crippled by Stealth Rock. Starmie also acts as a sponge with its Recover and Natural Cure, and can still hit hard with Surf and Thunderbolt. A very handy support pokemon.

Ferrothorn @ Rugged Helm
Sassy Nature
252HP/48Def/208Sp.Def
-Toxic
-Leech Seed
-Protect
-Gyro Ball

Ferrothorn is a magnificent Physical Wall (except to fire moves), and with the combination of Leech Seed and Protect to ensure healing, and with his very low speed he can hit hard on sweepers with Gyro Ball. Great to switch into an opponent physical sweeper and cripple them. With Rugged Helm and Iron Barbs, as well as damage from Toxic, any pokemon that physically attacks him will regret it. He is backed up nicely by my other wall:

Dusclops @ Evolite
Bold Nature
252HP/200Def/56Sp.Atk
-Calm Mind
-Ice Beam
-Will-o-Wisp
-Pain Split

Before I found Evolite, I would NEVER have considered a Dusclops. But with Evolite it becomes an even better wall than Confagigurus, and with WoW it can cripple physical sweepers with Burn conditions. Calm Mind allows Dusclops to get even more bulky and gives his Ice Beam more of a kick, and Pain Split for healing. Not that reliable as a healing move, but the only real option Dusclops has. Excellent special wall.

Weavile @ Expert Belt / Focus Sash
Jolly Nature
40HP/252Atk/216Speed
-Ice Shard
-Pursuit
-Brick Break
-Ariel Ace/Swords Dance

Weavile is my revenge killer, to mop up the foes team late game or to finish off whatever takes out Haxorus/Volcarona. Not too sure about his moveset or item. Ice Shard is a necessity, as is Pursuit considering the STAB and general usefullness of the move. Ariel Ace is handy against fighting types that switch in to take advantage of the typing, but Swords Dance allows him to pack a punch.

So thats my team, what do you lot think of it?

The only thing in this team that stood out for me is your starmie set
your team is full of hard hitters, strong pokemon then....an average starmie set
personally i would run a different set;

Starmie @life orb/leftovers (whichever floats your boat)
modest nature/timid nature (whether you want spatk boosted or speed)
4 HP / 252 Satk / 252 speed
-Hydro Pump
-Thunder
-Rapid Spin
-Ice Beam

this set keeps your starmie's rapid spin but just lets him hit a little bit harder, and as for recover i dont think it's neccessary on starmie, to be honest he should pretty much get in there, eliminate entry threats and (unless he can confidently OHKO your current opponent) get back out, so you can save him for later on
that's just my advice (:

Outrage gives much more power, so use it instead of Rock Slide.

Consider 212?HP / 40SpA / 252 Spe Lefties on Volcarona. It gets significantly more bulk and can still OHKO Max Sdef Ferrothorn without investment. If you use this, Flame Dance will work better than flamethrower, as the extra boost will be very helpful.

Hazards will greatly benefit your team, so Ferrothorn should carry SR/spikes instead of toxic. Almost always, something with fire will switch into Ferrothorn to roast it (less chance to toxic stall effectively), so take advantage of this switching.

On Weavile, i don't think Aerial Ace hits hard enough. SD will be much better for you, especially when you've got priority ice shard.
