My first Gen 8 OU team using mons that I Iike

Frosmoth (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Shield Dust
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Blizzard
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
Frosmoth is cool! It’s a reasonably strong sweeper that is guaranteed one quiver dance with the focus sash. I chose blizzard over ice beam because sending frosmoth out already is risky and I prefer a high reward over slightly decreased risk.

Ditto @ Quick Powder
Ability: Imposter
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
IVs: 30 Atk
- Transform
Reverse sweep go brrrrrrr. Didn’t know what to do for EVs because ditto is a different Pokémon in a different role every game, so I just clicked the auto EV button.

Dragapult (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Darts
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch
- Phantom Force
Dragapult is strong with good coverage and I needed more physical attackers. Need I say more?

Amoonguss (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Effect Spore
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Toxic
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
Can wall some stuff but mostly is just there for Toxic. I put SpA EVs over Def EVs because I wanted more healing with Giga Drain

Kommo-o (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Bulletproof
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Close Combat
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
My other physical attacker is also a dragon type. Please help me with this one. Can kill most stuff after a few dragon dances.

Hatterene @ Assault Vest
Ability: Magic Bounce
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mystical Fire
- Dazzling Gleam
- Psychic
- Dark Pulse
Bulky special attacker with good coverage. I usually send this or Ditto out first, ditto to copy whatever the opponent’s lead is because I suck at choosing what to lead with, or hatterene because it has the most options in terms of type coverage. You may notice I almost always used 252/252/4 EVs, this is because I cannot figure out the precise number for each stat. I also didn’t talk about matchups because I suck at figuring those out.

hello BOTW Enjoyer welcome to the forum ,
considering your first team you have done a good work but it can be improved by a lot.
I have tried to improve your team -here

First of all for Frosmoth, Ice scale is the best ability.
Heavy duty boots as it is 4x weak to rocks. ice beam over blizzard for accuracy and to some extinct PP as ice isnt a good offensive type it will have to stay for longer game. Giga drain to heal. substitute to prevent status condition and quiver dance for setup.
Volcarona is better than frosmoth but as you mention your favorite i didn't change any mons.

Next, abut Ditto it can reverse sweep very well. the only evs it need is HP as it copy all other stats of the opposing Pokemon and choice scarf to over-speed. the nature and the other 256 evs doesn't matter

I don't think Banded Dragapult is that much good. i rather go for DD-substitute set. leftovers provide healing and you can switch phantom force with steel wing if you nee coverage against fairy

Amoonguss is a pretty good wall. you need not invest in spa as black sludge and Regenerator provide enough healing the moves are same and just adjust the evs

As you mention you were struggling with lead i thought kommo-o you fit pretty good. the set is normal set for a lead with body press as main attack move. if you can predict and switch hatterene when opponent uses a hazard move that would be nice and i wouldn't recommend leading with ditto as it can be a good revenge killer

Last of all i go with a special bulky sweeper set for hatterene. calm mind for set up and other moves are STAB and coverage with draining kiss to heal.

1) you should look at the VR https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...king-thread-see-post-1720-on-page-69.3674058/ as this can help you make better choices of pokemon of your team as frostmoth is unviable 100%

2) you should look at smogon sets of pokemon as some are not viable in OU such as quick powder ditto, CB pult, and DD kommo-o. This could greatly improve the quality of the team

3) I do not think specific changes can be made to make this team viable as its held down by many poor choices here such as the building ones, and the pokemon choices

I don’t particularly care about viability all I care about is having fun with a team I like
