Introduction :

Hi everyone. I made some teams in this new 6G metagame, with different kind of team. I generally prefer balanced team, but I wanted to make an hyper offense, in order to discover another playstyle and to learn more about pokemon strategy. I found it very hard to build, because it's a completely new playstyle to me, I never played with an hyper offense in the 5G. I finally came to a result, but I need more advice, I'll explain you where I am hesitating. Now, the team :

Team :

482.png

Azelf @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 4 HP / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Reflect
- Light Screen

This is my lead, as you can expect. In an hyper offense team, a kind of suicide lead, which can set EH and dual screen, preventing the opponent to do so, is the best lead you can have, as you can then set up easily and sweep without difficulty with your other mons. Between Deoxys-D, Deoxys-S, Espeon, Azelf, Klefki and Forretress, I prefered Azelf. Indeed, it is faster than the others, has access to taunt, both of the screens and Stealth rock. D-D had only 90 BS in speed, so he needed Mental herb, and he performed better in a pivot with recover. In a way, he suffers from 4slot-syndrom, as he's not able to run SR, Spikes, Reflect, Light screen, Recover, Taunt and Twave in the same set. Deoxys-S was too fragile, and wasn't able to set up screens. Espeon would have been a very good choice, as he can't be taunt and reflects hazards, but he doesn't have access to the indispensable SR. Klefki, with prankster, could have easily set up spikes and screens, but, unfortunately, he's not able to taunt or reflect hazard. Finally, forretress has a great bulk but is too slow, can be taunt easily and can hardly come through common spinblockers. So I chose Azelf. The repartition allows me to taunt first in most of the case, only Scarf and little thing outspeed me (Deoxys-S, Whimsicott but he already has prankster, alakazam, others?). I max PVs, because I don't already know what type of attacks I should resist, and where to invest in order to survive to it

Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- ThunderPunch

My favorite one. When I decided to make an hyper offense, the first pokemon that came in my mind was WP Dnite. I love him because generally, I can come after Azelf, when no EH has been set up, then DD and sweep with ease. I prefer dragon claw to outrage, because I hate being locked or being confused. The good point on it is that Azu love switch on me, when I'm DDing, to hit me with a destructive Play Rough. As I can take it (Multiscale helps a lot ^^), the WP active and thunderpunch destroy him. Then I just make the best move regarding to the situation. EQ hits really hard all Steel types that resist to my claws, and it even hit really hard fairies. Even Kiss or Skarm can't come on me, because of Thunderpunch. You may ask : why don't you use Roost? I think that in hyper offense, you must hit as hard as possible with the best coverage as possible, and Staying Power is not as important as Pure Power. I didn't verify but I think nothing resist to Dragon+Groung+Electric type combo. However, some physical walls can come in without much danger (it depends if i am *2.5 in attack or not), for instance Lando-T or Gliscor. But other pokemons can take them down. Certainly worth noticing that it's a simple use pokemon : I don't switch out with him, I keep hitting even if I'm doomed.

Genesect.png

Genesect @ Life Orb
Ability: Download
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Naive Nature
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Iron Head
- X-Scissor

I'll now explain you the most controversed pokemon of my team : Genesect. It used to be Salamence, but he was too similar to Dnite. So I changed, and chose Tyranitar. But the battles weren't concluant, so I finally put Genesect there. What is the aim of this pokemon ? It must be able to exterminate the few things that can resist to my physical sweeper, namely physical and common walls. Ice beam for Lando-T and Gliscro, Flamethrower against bug/steel type and against Skarm. Ice beam is also usefull to kill Hippodown or Trevenant/Gourgeist. But, since it's a physical hyper offense team, I should also have great ability in the physical plan. Initially, drattak had fire blast, but I missed ice beam. Then Ttar, but not enough speed and the bulk is not that huge when you invest in attack. Then Genesect, with it great ability Download that allows me to do huge damage with half of my moves. One problem is that my two STAB, iron head and X-Scissor, are resisted by Steel types, and all are not effective against Fire types. Moreover, only flamethrower hit steel, so mons like Tran aren't afraid at all. I need advices mainly on this pokemon, I don't know what others possibility I can test ??

Heracross @ Heracronite
Ability: Moxie->Skill link
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Rock Blast
- Bullet Seed
- Pin Missile

Here is my mega : MEGA-HERACROSS !
First, I wanted something like Mluke or MGyara, but i found out Mheracross, and I really love it. He's the second pokemon with the best attack, just 5 BS behind Mmewtwo X. His ability, skill link, allows him to hit with three type 125 BS attacks : rock blast, bullet seed and pin missile. He's very incredible. Even unevolved heracross is usefull, as he can raise his attack thanks to moxie, by koing a pokemon on the verge of death. Close combat is a STAB, it only has the drawback to lower my defenses, but I don't really care. Pin missile is my very powerfull STAB. One may be shocked that I run both rock blast and bullet seed, and not Sword dance. Actually, I tested SD first and I never could boost me, and I don't really need it, so I prefer the better coverage. Bullet seed allows me to take down water-ground tank, especially unaware Quagsire. Rotom-W is also hitted very hard with it. Rock Blast hit Flying-type, what all other moves can't. I prefer maximize the speed, and not the hps, even if Heracross lose 10 when mega-evolving, for the same reason than before, but if you think i should invest a little in HP, tell me. The fact is that I don't really know what I need to outspeed, and invest in consequence. The only point where I am hesitating is the ability of Heracross : as I said, Moxie can raise the attack when I finish a pokemon, a good thing when I don't have SD. But Rotom-W really trouble my team with WoW, and running Guts make Heracross very powerfull without evolving. But he can't evolve then, and my three multi-hit oves become very random. So what should I do?

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4Sdef
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower

Here come the belly drummer : Azumarill.
The water rabbit really appreciate the dual screens Azelf gives to him. When *4 in attack, almost nothing resist to it. It destroys Lando-T or Gliscor even at *3.5. It can resist some attacks thanks to his high HP and the defense of dual screen. I don't think i have much to explain, the set is classic. Aqua-jet is the strongest priority move in the game when played with Azu, Play rough is his new Fairy STAB that suppress Dragon, fighting and dark type in an instant. Superpower is nearly the only thing possible, Ice punch is another solution, hitting hard grass types, but superpower is much more powerful. It's another simple use pokemon, so I'll never switch with him.

Darmanitan -> Excadrill
530.png

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Swords Dance
- Rock Slide

I finally decided to replace Darmanitan with Excadrill, as recommended by newtonja(thanks ^^). Indeed, as he said, it fixes my problem of rock weakness and of SR weakness, as he ca spin,, and keeping an offensive pressure. Excadrill also has mold breaker, which prevent the omnipresent threat to come on me, and even to Revenge kill it, what is a very good point in my team. Besides, Excadrill has a pretty convenient rock/ground attack combo, even more good with Mold Breaker. The repartition maximises speed, so that I can outspeed some Talonflame who think they don't need it, investing in HP, and be KOing by Rock slide. Air balloon is the classic item, protecting against the omnipresent earthquake and giving me some free switches. However, none of my pokemon have a ground weakness, so I was wondering if there wasn't a more usefull item. May be life orb, but my staying power would be inexistent.

Conclusion :

I finally get through my rock and SR weaknesses, without lowering pressure. However, I still have some difficulties against walls or threat such as aegislash, because physical genesect has trouble to OHKO them. So I'm now testing a more specially based genesect, but keeping some physical abilites, as dowload grant me power on both stats. I thank you for reading this team, and I hope you will give me some other usefull advice to make it better. Forgive me for all the english mistakes I could have made, I'm not english so writing a whole RMT is very difficult for me (it took me all the afternoon), that shows to you how much I cherish the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities this team.

Being tested:

Azelf : 252 Pvs/4 Sdef/252+Spe -> 148Pvs/108Def/252+Spe
This new spread allows me to always resist to 252+atk genesect U-turn, and resist to common physical dark type move

Heracross : 4Hp/252+atk /252 Spe -> 164Hp /252+ atk/92 Spe
With this spread, MHeracross outspeed uninvested Rotom-W, the only thing it needs to outspeed. Putting more in HP raise his natural bulk.

Genesect @ Expert Belt
Ability: Download
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252+ Spe -> 88 Atk / 168 SATK / 252 spe
Naive Nature
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Iron Head (or may be a special move ? don't already know)
- U-turn

I have a solution to fix your stealth rocks weakness, there is one pokemon that will do well, replace darmanitan with offensive rapid spin exacdrill. The set would look like

Excadrill, Air Ballon
Mold breaker
Jolly
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Swords Dance
Rapid Spin

This set fixes your serious weakness to stealth rocks while keeping offensive pressure. you just need defog/rapid spin somewhere on this team is what I am saying.

As far as small I would recommend you replace x scissor with u turn on genesect. This is a huge boon on any hyper offensive team to keep the pressure by u turning. second I would recomend that you replace life orb with expert belt, this makes them think that you are specs but in reality you are not. This will give opponents some nasty suprises.
well that is all I have to say so good luck and have a nice life

Ok thanks !
One question : what can I do to counter Rotom-W ? He really threaten my team, by burnig and also hitting hard. What is the best answer for him ? I think it's heracross, with guts, but I'm not sure it's reaaly a good idea, because I won't evolve if I'm burned.
Also, I think I will Give Heracross just enough speed to outspeed Roto-W, and put the rest in HP. But I don't now what amount of EV it reprensent, can you tell me?

While exca doesn't counter it checks rotom w very well if you want a counter you could replace azelf with latias or latios but you would lose stealth rock support if you did.
