My first NU Team

This is team needs alot of fixing

Natu Serious (Natu) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP
Naive Nature
- Night Shade

- Wish
- Thunder Wave
Most of my pokemon such as Rotom-Fan take 25 percent health from rocks so I decided to put in Natu. Natu's place was originally Sawsbuck but he wasnt helping the team out. Wish is also used to heal Zangoose from all the toxic damage.

Ivy (Zangoose) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Toxic Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Night Slash
- Facade
- Quick Attack
Just a regular Zangoose set to take down pokes like Golurk with Night Slash and Lickilicky with Close Combat. One of my problems with Zangoose are pokes with Protect and Sawk.

Lollipop Fan (Rotom-Fan) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Rotom plays a huge role in my team. It gets rid of Gorebyss before it SS. Air Slash is used take down grass and fighting pokes like Sawk. HP Grass is for stuff like Golurk.

Vanilla Raspado (Lickilicky) @ Leftovers
Trait: Own Tempo
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Heal Bell
- Protect
- Wish
- Dragon Tail

This thing is my lifesaver sometimes. If anyone try to set up He Dragon Tails them out. Wish helps when a SE attack lands on me. Heal Bell is rarely used only when Emolga or Jumpluff status affects me. One thing that counters him is Choice Band Basculin or Braviary.


No Baton Pass (Gorebyss) @ White Herb
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Shell Smash
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam

Gorebyss is my main Poke on my team due to ShellSmash. HP Grass help kill Alomola and other water types. Ice Beam Destroys Sawsbuck but slowly kills Cradily. Scarf users OHKO Gorebyss most of time which is the only downside

Fabric of My Life (Jumpluff) @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP
Timid Nature
- Encore
- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed
- U-turn

Jumpluff helps Gorebyss set up alot. Encore is used when Skunktank Suck punches or someone tries to set up rocks. Sleep Powder is always a staple on Jumpluff as well as Leech Seed. Taunt users are Jumpluffs worst nightmare.

Your explanations about why you chose your pokes aren't that good, so I would elaborate. Your team is very weak to rocks, and natu is a horrible way to prevent them. If you have say, golem, armaldo and, of course, golurk, the top 4 most common leads in NU. What is natu going to do? Ok, not let them get up rocks. Too bad it cannot t-wave three of the four pokes, so the only thing it can do is night shade for 100-leftovers damage. To try to prevent hazards, your best bet is a choice band sawk. This poke can do massive damage or OHKO these pokes before S.R are up and can actually do something, unlike natu, which is almost useless.

I would suggest to run life orb over white herb. The purpose of gorebyss is to outspeed and fire off powerful attacks, so it doesn't matter if it has lowered defenses or not, as its goal is to outspeed. It also isnt bulky enough with or without defense drops to take a hit if it received a hit while shell smashing. Plus, life orb might be the difference between an OHKO on your or the opponent's poke.

It is also mandatory to get a stealth rocker on your team, as zangoose and gorebyss appreciate the extra damage. Even though natu has magic bounce, if you predict incorrectly, you might not get S.R's up. If you want to replace your current lead with sawk, i would replace lickilicky with specially defensive miltank. this can give you another fire and ice resist, the ice resist is especially beneficial for your team.

I completely agree with shucklekings suggestions. The only other thing would be to run timid over modest on gorebyss. Timid allows you to outspeed some key threats after a shell smash such as choice scarf sawk and pinsir. Hope I helped!
