ORAS NU My first NU Team

Hey guys so this is my very first NU team as well as the very first team I have made in general so it might have a a lot of flaws on it. I have been using this team for about a week and I get some wins but also some loses.

Probopass @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Modest
-Stealth Rock
-Earth Power
-Rock Gem
-Volt Switch
EVs: 208 HP/ 252 SpA/ 48 Speed
So lets begin with probopass. This guy is good at taking out Garbodor and any flying threats like Archeops. I first start out with stealth rocks and then Earth Power and Volt switch. The main disadvantage he has is that he is pretty slow so basically any other pokemon can take him out. The air balloon helps so then Garbodor's earthquake dosn't kill him and he even has study so he can live.

Typhlosion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Timid
-Eruption
-Flamethrower
-Focus Blast
-Extrasensory
EVs: 252 spA/ 4 spD/ 252 Speed
Typhlosion is the newest member of the team and he was replaced by prinplup because there were battles were there would be a grass type pokemon like lilignant and I would not have anything to threaten it with and prinplup would die on me easily. Well anyways Typhlosion is my main sweeper and he does a pretty good job at it. I decided to use flamethrower instead of fire blast becuase I wanted to rely more on the accuracy even though I was loosing power.

Garbodor@Rocky Helmet
Ability:Aftermath
Nature: Impish
-Toxic Spikes
-Gunk Shot
-Drain Punch
-Spikes
EVs: 252 HP/ 160 Def/ 96 Speed
I decided to go with garbodor because he can set up spikes in the beginning of the battle. I usually lead with him and I first set up Toxic Spikes so it gives the opponent a timer. I then set up regular spikes to get additional damage. This goes well with probopass' Stealth Rock, so not only do they get damage from the spikes but from rocks as well. He is really good at taking out exeggutor and mega audino.

Uxie@Leftovers
Ability:Levitate
Nature:Timid
-Calm Mind
-Substitute
-Psyshock
-Giga Drain
EVs: 184 HP/ 64 Def/ 36 SpA/ 224 Speed
I chose Uxie because I needed something to be bulky enough to take hits but at the same time deal damage. After I set up Toxic Spikes I usually switch into Uxie but that depends on the situation. I know that Uxie is pretty fast, so I substitute and then use Calm Mind to get the stat boosts. This helps dish out damage to any pokemon and even if Uxie dies I can always switch into Typhlosion.

Samurott@Mystic Water
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Adamant
-Aqua Jet
-Swords Dance
-Waterfall
-Megahorn
EVs: 120 HP/ 252 Atk/ 136 Speed
The purpose of Samurott is to be backup for Typhlosion if he ends up getting beat. With Aqua Jet, he can beat any other pokes that are almost dead. I will start off with swords dance to get the atk boost then I aqua jet. The only weakness samurott has is its defence so hes a 2HKO.

Vileplume@ Black Sludge
Ability: Effect Spore
Nature: Modest
-Sludge Bomb
-Giga Drain
-Synthesis
-Hidden Power Fire
EVs: 248 HP/ 8 def/ 252 SpA
I put Vileplume on the team so it can synergize with Samurott and Typhlosion. With its high special attack, it can really do lots of damage, especially if the opponent has a Samurott. Throughout the battles I've had, vileplume hasn't done that much for the team so im debating whether to keep him or not.

Well thats the team I have at the moment. One other thing I think I should add is that during the beginning of a battle I tend to do really good but later on in the match the team loses momentum and I quickly lose mons and sometimes I lose just because I did not have a pokemon that could of done any damage. I'm not sure if thats cuz of the team or becuase of how I play lol. Thanks for reading and any advice would be really helpful.

Alright I will give this team a try and come back with my results later. An importable version at the bottom would be very appreciated so people can quickly input your team. Also not sure where you got the move "Rock Gem" from I assume you mean power gem.

Hello and welcome to Smogon PXNDV! I haven't really played NeverUsed but I've played enough to know some small things that need to be adjusted. First of all, Mystic Water isn't the best item for a SD Samurott. I suggest replacing Mystic Water with Life Orb. LO allows all of Samurott's moves to be boosted at the cost of the 10% recoil damage. Your also running a weird set on Probopass. I suggest using the standard Stealth Rock set of Stealth Rocks, Volt Switch, Flash Cannon or Power Gem, and Thunder Wave or Toxic with Calm 252 HP, 252 Special Defense, and 4 Special Attack holding Leftovers instead of an Air Balloon. It looked like you were trying to mix sets and that's not smart and the Stealth Rocks set has way more bulk than the set you are running at the moment which helps it set up Stealth Rocks and Pivot out like the description on your Probopass says it has trouble with otherwise. Also your Typhlosion set can do with some adjustments. I suggest running Fire Blast over Flamethrower for power and Hidden Power Grass over either Extrasensory or Focus Blast for coverage. It looks like you also tried to mix sets on Vileplume. For a Offensive set, I suggest 122 HP, 252 Special Attack, and 144 Speed with either Black Sludge or Life Orb. For the Defensive set, I suggest running a Bold nature with 252 HP, 252 Defense, and 4 Special Attack. Your Uxie and your Garbodor's sets look standard to me. To add on to what KnightK is saying, instead of running roost on Xatu, I suggest running Defog to deal with said hazards. Also like KnightK was saying, you have no reliable Status Setters so I suggest running Prankster Liepard over Vileplume. It would be able to set status before most other attacks.

First Impressions:

Eh not a big fan. The team works decently but there are many blatant issues. To be blunt. No electric immunity means volt switchers give you a field day. You don't have much for the numerous strong hitters in the tier primarily Mega Camerupt, Typhlosion, and Zangoose. All the sets bar Samurott are rather standard which is not necessarily bad but many of my opponents knew exactly what I was running. No way of removing hazards is a huge issue considering you are running eruption Typhlosion. No reliable status inducers or taunters mean many bulky pokemon give issues to this team.

Two Improvements I would make:

I thought Probopass was underwhelming and many pokemon took advantage of it for free turns. Replace Probopass for Rhydon.

Rhydon @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Megahorn

This gives you a bulky reliable stealth rocker who helps you deal with normal spam better.

Uxie wasn't bad but I think replacing it for calm mind xatu would be better as it does more or less the same thing but makes your opponent reluctant to set up hazards which is really needed for your team.

Xatu @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain

Also TheHoodedGamer is giving good advice.

In my eyes, this is how the team should look:
Rhydon @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Megahorn

Xatu @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain

Malamar @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Superpower
- Knock Off

Samurott @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Megahorn

Typhlosion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Focus Blast / Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Grass
- Extrasensory

Garbodor @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Toxic Spikes

Yea this is much better. I will have to try this later as this looks like a really strong team actually. I would only make 2 changes. Rest sleep talk malamar over liepard to help absorb scalds (you really have nothing to tank scalds otherwise) and other special attacks. I think Malamar is more consistently better than T Wave Nasty Plot liepard. Also Malamar has good synergy with Garbodor as it punishes pokemon that like to U-Turn on Malamar with its rocky helmet.

Malamar @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Superpower
- Knock Off

And Roost is mandatory on a calm mind Xatu set. I understand wanting a moveslot for defog but you need the recovery as you are wittled down too easily without it. Roost > Defog.

Other than that it looks perfect

Edit: Oh and Typhlosion should probably be running Flash Fire to help check other Typhlosions because you really don't have much for them.

If the team doesn't have a defogger than Typhlosion should run Focus Blast over Eruption so the consistent damage hits rocks harder than Hidden Power Grass I guess and hits Darks and Normals for Super Effective Damage.
EDIT: Also is Flare Boost Drifblim a thing? Because that could take scalds like a beast in my opinion instead of Malamar.
I'm thinking something like:
Drifblim @ Charti Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Flare Boost
EVs: 4 SpD / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hidden Power Grass
- Protect
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
