XY OU My First ORAS OU Team

First time making an OU team, as I'm new here. Just wanted some opinions since it seems to work alright.

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Thunder Wave

I needed something to set up entry hazards, and tank a hit when need be, so Ferrothorn seemed like an obvious choice. It has typing to defend against Water, which I don't have a clear counter for, and it also has Thunder Wave to handle threats when need be. Ferrothorn acts as my lead to set up entry hazards early, or a neutralizer of threats in a pinch using Thunder Wave or Gyro Ball. Rocky Helmet adds to damage taken from physical attackers by Iron Barbs. The set is fairly basic, Spikes and Stealth Rock are there for entry hazards to limit switch-ins. Thunder Wave helps slow down by threats, and Gyro Ball is a last-resort move to take out speedy opponents.

Jellicent (M) @ Absorb Bulb
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP/ 220 Def / 32 SpA / 4 SpD
- Scald
- Recover
- Hex
- Ice Beam

Jellicent is here as a general wall and possible staller when needed. It gives much needed immunity to Water and Fighting, and resistance to Fire. I chose it because it almost entirely walls Water types, and can cover most Fighting and Fire types. It provides a safe switch in for these types. Jellicent is responsible for neutralizing things that I can't otherwise handle. It can tank hits, and use Scald for burn damage. Scald provides Fire and Ground coverage, and burns anything else, which boosts the power of Hex. Recover gives Jellicent more longevity, and Ice Beam provides nice coverage and damage for other types. (P.S. I realize Water Absorb + Absorb Bulb doesn't work, still thinking of another item)

Landorus-I @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power Ice

Landorus can handle many opponents and acts as a great sweeper, as well as a counter for any Electric type. Landorus hits like a truck and covers a lot of types with its move set, and is the core of my team. It serves to counter Electric, which I otherwise don't cover, and gives consistent damage to deal with threats easily. Landorus serves as a damage dealer primarily, allowing coverage for a large array of types. It can quickly take a hit and dispatch of problems for the rest of the team. The moveset tries to let Landorus sweep as much as possible. Earth Power is its primary high-damaging STAB move, and Focus Blast is an option for bulky Normal types like Chansey and Snorlax or flying Steel types like Skarmory or Bronzong. Sludge Wave covers Fairy and Grass types, and Hidden Power Ice deals with dragons.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 108 Hp / 152 Atk / 104 SpD / 144 Spe
- Mach Punch
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch

Conkeldurr might seem a bit repetitive, but acts as a fairly sturdy offensive sweeper and powerful Fighting type. It's my primary user of Fighting, and almost serves as a tag out for Landorus. It gives me a back-up plan if Landorus is shut down. Conkeldurr acts as an offensive switch in for general coverage and support for teammates, using Mach Punch and Drain Punch to take down speedy opponents or Revenge Kill, and stay in the battle, respectively. Knock Off can slow down foes who rely on an item, and Ice Punch can cover Flying type counters.

Diancie (Mega) @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
Nature: Hasty
EVs: 208 Atk / 48 SpA / 252 Spe
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Protect

Mega Diancie is a partner for Landorus and great Fairy type choice for damage coverage. It covers threats for Landorus such as Keldeo, the Lati-twins, or Bisharp, and gives me a general counter for Dragon. Mega Diancie's speed allows it to tie both the Latis and Mega Metagross, and beat Terrakion and Keldeo. The moveset is mostly for attacking, but Protect allows a guaranteed Mega Evolution. Diamond Storm and Moonblast are powerful STAB moves for Dark, Dragon, and Flying types. Earth Power easily wipes out Steel type counters.

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 52 SpD / 204 Spe
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit

Rounding out the team is Bisharp, my counter for Psychics and Fairies. Bisharp serves as a cover for things I wouldn't otherwise deal with, namely Psychics and Faries with Dark STAB moves. Not much to explain, just that Bisharp complimented the rest of the team nicely. Knock Off hits hard and gets rid of items as an added perk, and Iron Head covers any Fairy types wanting to cause problems. Sucker Punch adds a priority move that allows Bisharp to deal with faster threats. Pursuit can be used to trap Psychic or Ghost types.

There you have it, my first OU team. I've battled a few times with it, and it is actually working out pretty well. I've won a number of battles with this team, and haven't found any true threats to it yet. Happy to get opinions though, since I've never done this before. Also, no, I did not design these sets myself, I just put them into a team. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey there. Good team! Here are some suggestion off the top of my head. You might want to get rid of spikes or t-wave from ferro and give it leech seed so that it has some sort of recovery as you are not using leftovers. On Jellicent, you should probably run leftovers as well so that it has some passive recovery. You could potentially replace Jelli with Latios as it also resists fighting, water and fire. Unfortunately it is not immune to water. The plus point of this is that you can run defog, which will clear all entry hazards from your side, along with hp fire, psyshock and dragon pulse/draco meteor and give your side a more offensive presence. The ev spread would be 252 in special attack and speed and 4 in sp. defence with a life orb. However, if you want something slightly bulkier, you could go for latias, give it roost, defog, healing wish to allow one of your pokemon to come back from almost the dead and wreak havoc again and dragon pulse/draco meteor/ psyshock/ hp fire. You could get rid of healing wish to go with two moves. The ev spread is the same as Latios. These are all just suggestions. Hope I could help :) Again, great team!

Thanks for the feedback! Leech Seed could be an idea to give Ferrothorn some offense, since it's kinda lacking there. Also, I kinda forgot to mention that I also use Jelli to stop Rapid Spin since it's a Ghost. Defog could be nice though, so I guess I'd be trading the ability to keep my hazards in to get rid of my opponent's. Offensive dragon like Latios seems like a plan though, so maybe I'll try it. Appreciate the rate, thanks!
