SM OU My First OU Team

Sorry for repost accidentally deleted this:

This is my first OU team so I would rly appreaciate it if I got some feedback on it:)

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock

For my team, I needed coverage against Fairy types which have almost taken over the Metagame and there is no better pokemon to stop them than Ferrothorn. Ferrothorn is great against all Tapus so this is why I chose Gyro Ball, as they are all fast except fini and all have weaknesses to steel except Koko which means Gyro Ball + Relaxed Nature (-Speed) and no speed Ivs does HUGE damage to them. Leech Seed, Protect and Leftovers is a great combination as you gain a fair bit of health and take some off the opponent when used together. Stealth Rock is brilliant for obvious reasons. I wanted Ferrothorn to take both Physical and Special Attacks so this is the standard spread for him for being mixed.

Rotom-Wash @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

I chose Rotom Wash because of its great move coverage, it's one weakness (which is to grass which is not very common) and I needed a Physically defensive pokemon on this team. Wiki berry helps ALOT and I usually combine the wiki berry with Hydro Pump for big damage or Volt Switch if I have gone down to the require HP for Wiki Berry to activiate in 1 turn so I can gain health, do some damage then switch out. Will-O-Wisp is great for crippling steel type pokemon which are immune to Toxic and Pain Split is for pure annoyance and I find with the right prediction, can be very effective.

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
- Dragon Dance

I used this team alot in Battle Spot Singles however I used Mega Salamence instead of Charizard but I found that for this team, Mega Charizard X is actually better than Mega Salamence (who is banned!) because with charizard on the team, there is only 1 2 pokemon weakness to a type (Rock) and with Salamence, there are 2 (Ice and Rock) and Charizard can destroy Ice types. Standard ev spread for fast physicaly sweeper. Considering switching roost for EQ for more coverage not so sure. I prefer Jolly over Adamant because Speed is key for Mega Charizard X.

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Thunderbolt

I chose Tapu Lele because I wanted coverage against poison because they are common now for fairy types (this is key reason why I run Choice Scarf so I can straight up Psychic them and they die). Best specail attacker in the game for me personally because Psychic Terrain + Psychic + Modest does HUGE damage to anything hit neutral/super effective against it. I run HP Fire for Steel types such as Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn who are popular and Thunderbolt for coverage against Water and Flying types such as Tapu Fini, Gyrados, Celesteela etc

Gyarados @ Waterium Z
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 4 SpD / 188 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Fang
- Waterfall
- Earthquake

I love this slightly bulky Gyrados set. If you get away with a DD, this outspeed max speed Tapu Koko who is a great threat to Gyrados and then use EQ and get the OKHO. 52 HP and 4 SpD vs 252 SpA Life Orb Tapu Lele in Psychic Terrain 6.3% chance OHKO. 36 SpA Porygon2 Thunderbolt vs. 52 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados is guaranteed 2HKO. Those calcs show what this set can survive. I use Gyrarados to soak up hits and dish them out harder. Waterium Z is my nuke, ice fang for coverage against Dragon types, Waterfall as STAB and EQ for electric coverage. I run Adamant nature to increase the damage even more and also as this is not max speed I find there is not much of a point.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 8 Def / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Toxic
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

I needed a Special Defensive pokemon that could dish out some damage as well so I chose gliscor as it fits perfectly on my team. I found this set on Smogon and I tested it and I love it however I replaced taunt with Protect to combine with Toxic and the ability so I protect, gain health and then the oppnent takes damage from toxic. I included some speed investment as this can be quite key for gliscor in certain situations. Sword Dance for increasing attack at the right moment and then blowing up everything.

If any of my EV spreads or movesets or pokemon choice are wrong or could be improved, pls let me know that would be much appreciated:)

Ok, on Ferrothorn you may want to consider Power Whip > Protect, as you now have a way to hit Tapu Fini and other countless bulky water types (Slowbro, Alomomola, Suicune, etc.) that make Gyarados' and Charizard's sweep harder.

Timid > Modest on Tapu Lele. You hit stupidly hard even without a Modest nature, but now you can outspeed Pheromosa and Greninja with a scarf equipped, allowing you to stop two threatening pokemon in the tier.

You might also want to add an entry hazard remover on your team, as Charizard doesn't really like losing half of its health on switch-in. Gyarados doesn't either. Therefore, you may want to consider Defog > Toxic on Gliscor. Yes, you lose a bit of utility but to be honest, I think hazard removal would benefit your team more than spreading status.

We,, I hope that helped, otherwise, cool team, mate!
