CLEFABLE/DRAGALGE Semi-stall
Clefable @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SDef
Nature: Bold
Heal Bell/Healing Wish
Softboiled
Moonblast
Thunder Wave/Flamethrower/Stealth Rocks
Clefable is the cornerstone of this team. She is the Cleric (with Heal Bell), my main Dragon check, and a good Mixed Wall as well. Rocky Helmet because Vapey already has Leftovers and it helps wear down physical attackers. Last moveslot is up in the air. It might be helpful to have two SR setters on the team, but maybe better to have a T-wave to cripple attackers for easier KOs by my two main slower attackers, Dragalge/Gyarados. Flamethrower is coverage option for relative lack of answers to steel-type walls on this team. Heal Bell vs/ Healing Wish... thoughts?
Dragalge @ Assault Vest
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 204 HP / 100 SpA / 204 SDef
Nature: Modest
Focus Blast
Draco Meteor
Sludge Wave
Dragon Tail
Did someone say special wall? I know Assault Vest Dragalge is not seen very much... ever, but I thought I'd give this a try. He has good synergy with Clefable, helps wall the Electric/Fire weaknesses on my team, and is a formidable SpA force with Adaptability Draco/Sludge Wave. Focus Blast for Grass/Steel/Rock/Dark coverage. Also phazing for stealth damage/to sweep away mons that give him trouble. This EV spread also allows it to hit hard while maintaining its special bulk.
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 204 SDef / 52 Def
Nature: Calm
Stealth Rocks
Protect
Leech Seed
Power Whip/Gyro Ball
Probably my lead. Mixed Wall/Entry Hazards set up. Seed & Protect makes for reliable recovery. Grass types will give me trouble with Power Whip (but that's what the other pokes are here for), and Gyro Ball allows for Grass-type check, but doesn’t have as good of coverage as Power Whip. Both would be the only attack of their type on my team though.
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Nature: Bold
Scald
Wish
Protect
Roar/Toxic
The one and only... Vapey! Physical Tank against pretty much anything except for Ferrothorn, and other bulky grass types. Also, he's useful in passing huge Wishes to my other mons. Roar in my last slot allows it Vapey to shuffle and prevents mons from setting up on him, but Toxic would allow him to win stall wars (which he would avoid with Roar — so maybe Roar is a better option?)
Crobat @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 204 Spe / 252 HP / 32 Def / 20 Att
Nature: Jolly
Defog
Brave Bird
Roost
Taunt
Spinblocker/Spinner in one. Fastest taunt in the game (aside from priority) prevents spinning and opposing walls from setting up. Clears entry hazards on my side, and eats up fighting/grass-type moves that Vapey and Ferro have trouble with. Also the best poke on my team against Grass-types. Another option for this role was Talonflame, but aside from Gale Wings, Croat just has better stats in general.
Mega Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate/Mold Breaker
EVs: 204 Def / 252 HP / 52 Att
Nature: Impish
Waterfall
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Thunder Wave/Taunt/Toxic
Finally, last but not least, Mega G! Physical wall against the likes of Talonflame/Charizard Y. Also my primary Hearten check. Provides coverage for most of the pokes Dragalge has trouble with. Fire Blast is to cover my bases re: Scizor, Forretress, Ferrothorn. Toxic is a good stall tactic, but T-wave can cripple attackers so I can get an extra attack in, but if Cleffy has T-wave, then I don’t need it on Mega G. Taunt is good for anti-stalling mons that would otherwise set up easily on this guy, like Slowbro and king, Vaporeon, other defensive Gyaradoses, etc.
