Hi guys, this is my first real competitive team that I've made. I've been using it for a while on showdown and I think I'm ready to make it on my actual game. Before I do that I'd like some advice on things I could improve with as I don't really want to re-ev/train my pokemon.
The Leader
Roserade @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Sleep Powder
- Leaf Storm
- Spikes
- Hidden Power [Fire]
One of my favourite pokemon also happens to be a great pokemon to lead with. Sleep powder almost guarantees at least 2 layers of spikes, with focus sash this usually goes up to 3. Leaf storm is a strong move to take out those annoying Rotom-W's and is something to do after it sets up all the spikes. HP Fire deals with other leads like Ferrothorn easily and effectively.
The Tank
Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Slack Off
- Ice Beam
A monster at taking anything physical. Almost nothing phyiscally attacking in OU puts a large dent in this thing. Toxic allows me to stall them with slack off and force a switch out. Scald is useful for the burn and does decent damage and ice beam is for more coverage.
The Shadow
Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick
- Knock Off
Very good revenge killer and trapper. Pursuit lets me trap anything that might try to escape while ice shard lets me finish off those that are afraid to run. Low kick gives good coverage and knock off is useful against walls and is a strong STAB move.
The Fighter
Metagross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Bullet Punch
- Zen Headbutt
An all-around beast of a bruiser. It can take special attacks well and do large amounts to damage to pretty much anything. Meteor mash is the primary attack with bullet punch help finishing off weakened pokemon. Earthquake and zen headbutt are used for greater coverage.
The Cleaner
Exploud @ Choice Specs
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 SAtk / 108 SDef / 148 Spd
Modest Nature
- Boomburst
- Flamethrower
- Focus Blast
- Overheat
Clears. Rooms. Boom burst is absurdly strong and can one shot almost everything popular in ou. For the ones it can't, it has flamethrower, focus blast, and overheat for backup. But really, it's all about the boom burst. Even ghosts aren't safe.
The Jester
Banette @ Banettite
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SDef
Careful Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Claw
The most annoying thing on this team. Very annoying that prankster doesn't kick in the turn it mega's but still very useful. Good in conjunction with roserade and banette can block rapid spin. Priority taunt and will-o-wisp stops both setups and physical sweepers. Shadow claw is used to take advantage of mega banette's stupid high attack stat. And come on, taunt + priority destiny bond the next turn is just evil.
