Here's a team I've been using on Shoddy and has been doing fairly well so far. I don't know my exact record, but from what I remember I don't lose very often, and when I do it's due to rushing and not thinking too much about what I'm doing. It takes a good bit of prediction to use effectively, but I seem to be getting better at it since I've started Shoddy-ing.
Swampert (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/52 Atk/216 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
My lead. Easy enough, start off with Stealth Rock and Roar away whatever I don't like. Works especially well against Baton Passing leads (namely Ninjask) who try and set up a sweep. Earthquake and Waterfall are for STAB.
Forretress (M) @ Shed Shell
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/162 Atk/96 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro Ball/Earthquake
- Explosion
Spiker, Rapid Spinner, and Wall #1. Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock, in my experience, work amazingly well together, so I opted for that over Spikes. Rapid Spin to clear away anything my opponent manages to set up. Gyro Ball is all right, but it doesn't do too much damage to anything, which is why I'm considering Earthquake. And Explosion has saved my ass in so many battles.
Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Fire Punch
- Pain Split
- Shadow Sneak
Anti-Spinner, Wall #2, and Statuser #1. Works with the Stealth Rock and Toxic Spikes I set up, making sure they stay up, and Will-O-Wisp works nicely on the switch. Pain Split and Shadow Sneak make for nice surprises, especially against Salamences that seem to love to switch in on him. And Fire Punch for the sake of having another attack.
Gardevoir (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/32 Spd/48 SAtk/176 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp/Thunder Wave
- Wish
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
Statuser #2 and Wish support. I went through a lot of Pokemon to fill this role. I wanted a cleric/Wisher and I absolutely hate Blissey. I tried out Miltank for a bit, and as much as I love her she really wasn't doing much for this particular team. Jirachi didn't work out too well either. Then i came across Gardevoir, which has surprisingly worked out really well so far, being able to not only Wish and status but also provide a small bit of special coverage. Possibly Thunder Wave over Will-O-Wisp since Dusknoir already has WoW, and paralysis is kinda nice from the other end. Psychic and Shadow Ball, because they're pretty nice to have.
Weavile (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break
- Ice Shard
- Pursuit
Physical Sweeper/revenge killer. And apparently my Gengar/Deoxys-S counter. I guess no one carries Focus Blast or Superpower anymore? Anyway, I went with Ice Shard over Ice Punch due to the ever-increasing numbers of Dragon Dancers I've been seeing, so priority is great. 40 base power all of a sudden doesn't suck with priority, STAB, Choice Band, and double supereffective.
Salamence (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Hydro Pump
- Dragon Pulse
I originally had Mixape in here until I got completely assraped by SubSalac Garchomp, so I switched it out with SpecsMence to hopefully tighten my team's asshole. It's worked pretty well so far.
