My first RMT, Big hits style.

Note: I just finished midterms, so my grammar won't be of the utmost importance to me as I write this thread.

Hey all, new to all this stuff. Found out about competitive pokemon battling about 2 months ago, and PO a month after that.

I've been playing with this Team for about a week now, so I figured that was long enough so that this would matter.

Up a wall (Heatran) (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Roar
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Will-O-Wisp

Use: I don't really like this choice, but he lets me absorb cb haxorus outrage and +1 dragonites outrage. Since I have a core of 3 fire weak pokemon, I needed something to switch in for a free absorb. I was using Jirachi but he couldn't handle fire attacks either. But heatran also lets me screw the opponent's baton pass or setting up their sweep.

- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Rock Slide
- Superpower

I was looking for a revenge killer in the smogon strategy dex, when I came across darm. I first put him in my team 2 weeks ago and haven't looked back. His flare blitz lets me take out many common threats, only making heatran a problem when I'm locked on flare blitz. I can't really say anything bad about darm, because I haven't came across anything. obviously, he has a problem with bulky waters, but they pose no threat to my team with breeloom and virizion.

Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade
- Stone Edge

Love this poke. I was interested in it when I started PO, but lost it somehow. I don't know what I was thinking, for after a couple SDs, I easily sweep almost everyone. The only thing that gives me trouble is skarm. Even though he has the same duo typing as breloom, they work very well together. Plus whenever I get targeted by a faster fire poke, I just switch to heatran.

Fishy. (Weavile) (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Low Kick
- Ice Punch
- Ice Shard

When I head my favorite poke from GSC had an evolution, I just had to have it. It's stats just begged me to put a choice band on it, and now I have better-than-average coverage. I really hate dragon types killing me, so this guy answered the call. Through ice shard, I easily revenge kill any dragon locked into outrage or thinking they can withstand a hit. The low sweep allows me to take out threats such as terrakion and tyranitar, who wouldn't be good news for the rest of my team. Pursuit lets me take out trick room reuniclus, who would otherwise abolish the rest of my team. I can't believe it's in UU.

He's great, and he knows it. Since everyone is using bulk up these days, I can get a sub up pretty easily. Plus the combo of breeloom-virizion just decimates rain teams that I find LITERALLY EVERY OTHER BATTLE.(figuratively actually lol) Spore helps me rage on gliscors who switched in on me. I get cursed out so much after that. This also covers up many of latios's weaknesses, which allows me to switch to this after a draco meteor.

- Surf
- Memento

What more can I say about Latios that you haven't heard? The only strange thing about this is memento. I use it strictly for when I know t-tar is coming in. That allows me to switch to breloom to get a sub up. Otherwise, I use draco-meteors on anything that I don't think any of the other pokemon can get the job done. Latios almost always kills a poke in one of my battles, so I can memento the next switch in, which allows me to catch my opponent offguard. My two fighting are great switch ins to anything that kills this beast too.

And there it is, I'm up to all changes except the weavile/breloom combo. Their my two favorite pokes :p

Hi, cool team. Now, I understand that Weavile are Breloom are your favorite Pokes and you wont replace them. But I'd like to suggest a few different sets. On Weavile, go with Night Slash over Ice Punch. Why? It hits Ghost- and Psychic-types, such as Gengar, Starmie, and Alakazam, significantly harder. It also gives you the good old Night Slash+Pursuit combo. Ice Punch may seem useful on paper, but in reality, you're going to use Ice Shard 9/10 times as your Ice STAB. Also go with 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe. Weavile's bulk is pathetic and its Speed is fantastic. Weavile should pretty much always run max Speed, since its not like that extra HP is gonna help it survive anything. Currently, your team has issues against Volt-turn, in which case, I suggest using a Bulk Up Breloom over your current set. Bulk Up Breloom takes on Rotom-W like a boss, takes pittance from Scizor after a Bulk Up boost, and absolutely dominates Rain stall, and stall in general. Spore, Drain Punch, and Seed Bomb are all great assets. In fact, Bulk Up Breloom does so well against Rain teams that you can afford to drop Virizion to help deal with other threats, but I'll go to that later.

Definitely go with Hidden Power Fire over Memento on Latios. While you use an imperfect Speed IV, having no way to hit Scizor or Ferrothorn just sucks. Tyranitar shouldn't be too much an issue. If you're gonna go down anyways, you may as well be using Surf and hope for a critical hit. If you predict a Tyranitar switch-in, you could always, you know, double switch. You're relying on Heatran to do too much. If this were a multi Dragon team, Heatran would likely get overwhelmed. You would be much better off making it a Specially Defensive variant to strictly deal with Special Dragons. As well, go with Toxic over Will-O-Wisp. You may as well bank on Lava Plume to burn the opponent. Toxic, however, gives you a way to hit Pokemon that don't mind burns, such as CM Latias.

Now, the real problem with your team are Fighting-types, such as Terrakion and Conkeldurr. Since most of Virizion's roles are fulfilled by Breloom and Latios, it would be wise to swap it out for a Slowbro. Slowbro is a tank among tanks, thanks to Regerator, and can dispose of these annoying Pokemon with Scald and Psychic. Slack Off ensures that Slowbro will stay around for a very long time. Finally, you can run Ice Beam on Slowbro to help check DD Dragons. Slowbro, like I said, has incredible bulk, and can shrug off even DD Dragonite's Outrage and retaliate. Even if Slowbro goes down before completiting its job, you've always got Weavile to pick up the pieces. In essence, you've patched up the problem against Fighting-types while simultaneously given yourself another line of defense against Dragons.

GL
Night Slash>Ice Punch+new EVs on Weavile
pros: good old Night Slash+Pursuit combo, hits Ghost/ Psychics harder, Weavile loves its Speed, don't short change it
cons: not much really, Ice Punch isn't nearly as useful as Night Slash or Ice Shard, no point in the HP EVs anyways

Bulk Up Breloom>SubPunch Breloom
pros: deals with Volt-turn, shuts down Rain stall, more long term power
cons: not as much initial power

HP Fire>Memento on Latios
pros: ensures you're not walled by Ferrothorn/ Scizor
cons: imperfect Speed IV, but Memento is awful

Specially Defensive Heatran>mixed wall Heatran
pros: focus on taking on special dragons, don't get overwhelmed, Toxic+Lava Plume provides better status coverage
cons: not much, since you shouldn't have Heatran take on both physical and special dragons

Slowbro>Virizion
pros: checks Fighting-types, such as Terrakion and Conkeldurr, also takes on DD Dragons, Landorus, and a plethora of others
cons: I guess you lose a sweeper in Virizion, but Breloom/ Latios already do most of its job.
