My first RMT D:

I hope I don't really get scolded or anything, because this is my first RMT, and I'm bound to make mistakes, especially very stupid ones.

I’ll move on to introducing my team. This team is actually quite successful, but I have the need to improve it even further. My team revolves around a couple of UU Pokémon, which all work well in the OU tier. As I am considerably a newb to OU, I have the need to improve my team, and that’s how I found Smogon. So yeah. Here we go.

Jirachi @ Choice Specs
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed
Nature: Jolly
- Trick
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Thunder Wave

I personally find it great being able to abuse Paralysis and flinching with Jirachi, while having Trick to lock a tank into a single move, and it has helped me many times. I set up Stealth Rocks after the Choice Specs has been switched away. Simple, yet efficient.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 192 HP, 64 Def, 252 Speed
Nature: Timid
- Thunderbolt
-Heat Wave
-Roost
-Substitute
This is the Sub Roost set. Thunderbolt is there for a STAB boost, while I carry Heat Wave to deal with Ferrothorn and Scizor. Roost is there for healing, and I set up Substitutes just to pretty much scout around.

Absol @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed
Nature: Adamant
-Sucker Punch
-Night Slash
-Superpower
-Zen Headbutt
I love this set. This set has scored me many surprise KOs, and with Super Luck to abuse, it can take down almost anything provided it scores a critical hit. Sucker Punch is to cut ahead of a faster foe and KO it before it manages to do anything, thus functioning as a revenge killer. Superpower is there to dig Tyranitar’s and Scrafty’s grave(provided if it doesn’t carry Bulk Up), while Zen Headbutt is there to deal with Tentacruel, with the 30% flinch chance as the icing on the cake.

Scrafty @ Life Orb
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed
Nature: Adamant
-Dragon Dance
-Ice Punch
-Hi Jump Kick
-Rest
While this set would normally be used for a Bulk Up variant, and most Dragon Dancers carry Moxie, this set uses Scrafty’s bulk to Dragon Dance up and Rest off. The reason that I do not carry Moxie is because I do not risk getting burned/poisoned/paralyzed, which would hinder Scrafty’s attempt to sweep. Ice Punch is there to KO any Dragon types that stand in its way, while Hi Jump Kick is there to deal obscene amounts of damage to the opponent. I might switch it out for Drain Punch though, since the 90% accuracy could mean suicide if Scrafty is on low health.

Tentacruel @Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 60HP, 196 Def, 252 Sp. Def
Nature: Calm
-Barrier
-Rapid Spin
-Giga Drain
-Scald
Barrier may seem weird on Tentacruel, but having Barrier allows me to survive any Earthquakes aimed at him. Scald is rather self explanatory, burning physical sweepers while “increasing” Tentacruel’s bulk. On the other hand, I have Rapid Spin as a support move, and Giga Drain is there for Politoeds/pretty much any other water type that switches in while recovering Tentacruel’s health.

Latios @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed
Nature: Modest
-Psyshock
-Dragon Pulse
-Calm Mind
-Surf
Hitting a 393 on its special attack stat allows me to hit like a truck, despite the fact that I’m pretty slow on that nature. I might switch it out for Timid, so I can travel faster. CM is there for boosting my special attack even higher, so I can tear through everything. Psyshock is for Chansey/Blissey, while Dragon Pulse for STAB and after a single CM boost, tears through steel types, despite not being effective. Surf, is to deal with any Fire types which block my way.

So, this is pretty much my first RMT. I hope you guys don’t mind my writing style, as I took 1/2 hour to write this, and I was pretty cranky at the end of this RMT.

Just my two cents from reading:
so far, I lol'd at choice specs rachi, but then it made sense. I find your zapdos EV spread unorthodox, thinking a little more investment in SpA should allow you to OHKO specially defensive ferro, so i though putting the 64 EVs into SpA. Choice band over scarf on Absol as sucker punch is all the RKing you will need, and the extra power is apreciated. It seems you have a Bulk Up set but with dragon dance; Not the best combination IMO. Dragon dance will make you faster but still lleave you more frail then a bulk up set, especially if Shed skin fails to heal you rest straight away, leaving you vulnerable whilst without the buffed defense you can't take hits to well. I would suggest Moxie, Lum berry and a filler like crunch. Drain punch Instead of HJK, more recovery outside of rest. Tentacruel and Latios seem to be in order, and good overall team synergy. I wouldn't know how to improve your team outside of the given sets without knowing what it has trouble with. Although, a very well put together team
I wish you the best of luck with this team!

Just a little nitpick: Zen Headbutt has a 20% flinch chance not 30%.

I recommend that you change your Latios's item to Life Orb or Leftovers. The reason is that your set only has super effective coverage on 6 types, so Life Orb is better for power and Leftovers is better for survivability.

A few questions that I'd like to ask. Suppose I turn Zapdos into an offensive monster, with the following spread.

Zapdos @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Speed
Nature: Timid
-Thunderbolt
-Heat Wave
-HP Ice/Grass
-Roost/Some Other Sp.Atk move.

Would that fit into my team, or should I stick with my SubRoost set?

As for Latios...
I thought of this set myself, wondering if it would work.

Latios@ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Speed
Nature:Timid
-Draco Meteor
-HP Fire
-Psyshock
-Surf

This set is somewhat similar to my previous one, except it instant power compared to my CM set. DMeteor is there to revenge kill almost any Pokemon, hitting hard. HP Fire, for Grass types. Psyshock hits Tentacruel hard, and Surf to KO any opposing Fire types.

I'd say switch the Zapdos set, this team seems more offensive, but I'd put Life Orb and Roost and it, instead of Expert Belt. Also, going for Specs on Latios would be a good idea. Good team, maybe put Band/Scarf on Rachi so it can actually use Iron Head for a little hax? Putting body slam on it so it can paralyze ground types would be a good idea too, since paralyzing ground types is Jirachi's advantage over other paralyze abusers (serene grace too). Lastly, it'd be nice if you can put pictures in :)

I think yes, and use agility over roost. Megas showed me the true prowess of agility zapdos and is the near perfect mid game cleaner and late game sweeper, change timid for modest for mor POWER! :D

Your Scrafty set is all over the place.

The site's standard Dragon Dancing Scrafty set is probably Scrafty's best set. If you're afraid of getting crippled by a status, just slap a Lum Berry on Scrafty and use Moxie. With the combination of boosts provided by both Moxie and Dragon Dance, there's really no reason to risk using High Jump Kick. Rest is redundant as Drain Punch will more often than not restore Scrafty to full health, especially after a couple of kills. Don't forget about adding Crunch. You're going to need it with the number of Psychics running around in OU. God forbid you go against a Reuniclus without Crunch.

I'm only rating Scrafty since he's the only real Pokemon I have experience with.

How about an alternative, like Bulk Up Scrafty? It would work out for my team.

I'm personally not too fond of the Bulk Up variant, but w/e floats your boat.

If you're going with the Bulk Up set, then use Leftovers instead of Bulk Up. Use Crunch over Dragon Tail as DT isn't as effective as roar.
