Okay so, my team is Metagross, Salamence, Flygon, Vaporeon, Forretress, and Gengar

Metagross @ Occa Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252Hp 236Atk 12Def 8Spe
Nature: Adament
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Bullet Punch
- Explosion

Okay so Metagross is my lead pokemon used to basically try to set up stealth rocks as early as I possibly can also dealing with most leads I put earthquake instead of Meteor Mash just incase i decide to use him later and he can also take down most or all Infernape Heatran and Jirachi or other Metagross which are usually a big threat to them. I put bullet punch in there so i can get rid of the pesky focus sash on certain pokemon and explosion is on that set because if i ever am like really close to low hp or am about to be i use explosion and i take out almost all pokemon hit by it other than those resistant The occa berry is on there to make sure i can survive most fire attacks

Salamence @ Yache Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4Hp 252Atk 252Spe
Nature: Adament
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

Salamence made it onto my team because of his amazing base atk and spe stats Dragon dance is on him for obvious reasons which are for sweeping in mid or late game i chose dragon claw over outrage because for one its physical and you don’t get stuck on using that same move then getting confused especially with an attack boost from DD wouldn’t be pretty at all and the other person could just easily switch into a steel type and resist it all earthquake is there to take care of some of Salamences counters Fire Blast made it onto my moveset to take out most Skarmory and Bronzong which would normally stop my sweep

Flygon@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4Hp 252Atk 252Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-Turn
Flygon is on my team for a couple reasons to revenge on gyarados with stone edge and also stopping salamence from setting up by my Flygon revenging it U-Turn is there for scouting and stuff and for some coverage outrage is there for good reason and earthquake is there for good STAB same with Outrage

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188Hp 252Def 68Spe
Nature: Bold
- Hidden Power (Electric)
- Surf
- Protect
- Wish

Okay Vaporeon is on my team for a couple of reasons to take some hits for my Lead metagross then hit them with Surf which i like to have because of Vaporeons nice base Satk and its a STAB which is amazing damage HP (Electric) is there to take out those annoying gyarados well basically the main reason for this Vaporeon is to be a Phsyical wall or Bulky Water wish will be really helpful for stalling games with wish and protect but gotta be careful with protect

Forretress @ Shed Shell
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252Hp 112Atk 144Def
Nature: Relaxed
- Spikes
- Gyro Ball
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion

Forretress is my Spiker/Spinner i chose spikes over toxic spikes because if they switch into a poison type they will just absorb it and i chose gyro ball over earthquake because it has a STAB and hits for quite a bit since Forretress is quite slow and i chose explosion over other moves because of the same reason i have it on my Metagross i will basically use him for a quick switch on a dragon type because i resist dragon types and for a bit of walling

Gengar @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4Def 252SpA 252Spe
Nature: Timid
-Shadow Ball
-Substitute
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power (Fire)

Gengar is another pokemon for me to switch in on when a pokemon is about to use a ground attack on my Metagross i switch in for Gengar after i stealth rock of course I have shadow ball there for STAB damage and because its an overall good attack substitute is there to sub on the switch then i HP Fire them hopefully getting him in pretty early i have Focus blast to deal with Weavile Tyranitar and other pokemon that could also probably threaten my chances of winning i have hidden power fire to handle all of those annoying Scizor which my team is pretty weak to.

So based on that info do you think you could rate my team? Please do and be tough because this is my first RMT and im kind of a new comer to competitive battling so i don’t know TOO much ( IF ANYONE HAS A CHOICE SCARF(1) OR LEFTOVERS(1) THAT THEY DONT NEED PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING THEM TO ME I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT THANKS. :D )

I'm assuming this is for OU? If so, Garchomp is considered Uber according to Smogon tiers, so you should look into replacing it. A pretty simple substitution is Scarf Flygon - it's not as good as ScarfChomp, but it's probably as close as you'll get.

This team as it stands is not competitive on OU, due to the fact that Smogon won't even let you on the OU ladder.

Anyways, as it stands, you have a pretty big DDGyara weakness. Gengar is outrun and KOd, vappy can't touch it as he gets +6/+6, although you could try and bluff the HP Electic, Salamence is KO'd by Stone Edge or Ice Fang, and Forry has to explode. I would recommend changing Gengar to a choice scarf version with tbolt, shadow ball, focus blast, trick. Either that, or change garchomp to a scarf flygon with thunderpunch.

Change Garchomp to scarf Flygon. He doesn't have a Gyarados weak, Flygon revenges with Stone Edge. Use this Flygon set:

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Jolly Nature
EV's: 252 attack, 252 speed, 4 hp
Moveset:
-outrage
-earthquake
-uturn
-stone edge

This set is amazing at scouting and arguably better than scarh Garchomp due to access to U-turn. It also revenges Gyarados, which doesn't even set up too much on your team. Also, no Salamence gets to sweeping thanks to you revenging it, unless it is also +speed. Most in my experience aren't though! On Gengar, a minor nitpick, your team overall is pretty weak to Scizor, so change thunderbolt to substitute, change the item to Leftovers, and keep HP Fire. This will lure out Scizor, you sub on the switch, then nail them with HP Fire. Try to get Gengar in early game!

I hope I helped and good luck with your team!

Problems:

movesets / items

How to fix:

Not a bad team, just patch up some movesets and you'll cover some offensive threats while maintaining a good offensive mentality. Firstly Salamence wants Life Orb. The slight decrease of Weavile / Mamoswine makes things less threatening for Salamence. Plus, Forretress handles it most of the time. Ommit Stone Edge for Fire Blast so you stand a higher chance vs. Skarmory. I recommend going for 232 Atk / 24 SpA / 252 Spe to get the best out of KOing Skarmory. You can still go for Yache, just avoid STAB Ice-type attacks but try to take unSTABed ones.

Secondly Vaporeon wants Hidden Power Electric over Ice Beam to punish Taunt Gyarados (bulky). Ice Beam won't cut it and you'll let it grab more DD's. Hidden Power Electric 2HKOs it for sure.

As for other options go, try Protect over Sub on Gengar. Why? Because since Scizor will be coming around, you can scout for either Bullet Punch or Pursuit. If Pursuit, you can smash it with Hidden Power Fire safely, if Bullet Punch proceed to someone like Vap or Foretress to set up spikes. give that a go. gl.

I like your team , but i just dont see the point in vaporeon without toxic ,
yeah ice beam is good against salamence and dragonite but toxic can hit gyarados and kill it if you wish + protect correctly,
Your also lacking a decent way to take out skarmory + forretress bar gengar ,
you should maybe change your salamence to a mixmence or just add fire blast somewhere , hope i helped a tiny bit
I know my post count is low but i tried to help :)

@ Franky, substitute is used to protect from Scizor when it switches its ass in. Then HP Fire for the kill. Protect doesn't really do anything because you're only seeing if it pursuits or bullet punches. If it bullet punches, then he has no way to take it out. That's what substitute is for to protect it.

Protect is available and its no gimmick. How will you sub on Scizor fearing Bullet Punch? Protect is a great move, I'd recommend trying it. Also I forgot, if your going to try Protect, go for Life Orb.

Substitute on the Scizor switchin obviously...and substitute isn't a gimmick, that's a standard move on Gengar. Go check the analysis and get back to me.

With Stone Edge on both Flygon and Salamence, you heavily run the risk of being stopped by Bronzong or Skarmory. Unless you're extra careful to use Gengar to take them out early on, (Gengar being the only user of a move those two are weak to, which seems dangerous) I'd suggest running Fire Blast on whichever you think will need it more; Salamence might want to take out Bronz and Skarm while sweeping and possibly forgo Dragon Claw for Outrage to make up for the lost coverage with power. On that note, 2 4xIce weak dragons are not highly advisable, as you hopefully know already. D: I'd advice replacing one with someone else of the same role, but different typing; IE, Gyarados in place of Salamence (removes the heavy Ice weakness on your team and his typing would attract Electric-types for Flygon to switch in on) or someone like Scarf or Prioritizer Infernape in place of Flygon as a revenge-killer.

Please comprehend better, I said Protect is no gimmick. On some scenarios where both Gengar / Tyranitar and Scizor switch-in at the same time, your stuck to predict. Sub negates loosing HP as well. Removing these prominent threats in this metagame with much ease is something the OP can consider. Like I said, its other options.

Mence should have Fire Blast over Stone Edge to deal with the Steels that will stop it's sweep. Stone Edge on Scarfgon is fine because you're Revenging DDos with it, but doubling up on the coverage is unneeded, especially if Vappy takes HP Electric.
