My First RMT! Nub Alert

So i have virtually no competitive experience but i really want to get into the swing of things. This is the first team i've put together with my limited knowledge. I know it needs work and probably new pokes, so be brutal :)
My basic plan was to lead off with an Attack Arcanine and use Gliscor/Scizor to scout and weaken up guys, Gyarados to wall and either Toxicroak or Dodrio sweep. Pretty weak foundation i know but i'm working on the finer points of team creation.

I realize this is pretty mixed tier, should i drop Scizor and Gyarados and fully focus on UU?

You need more words in your posts, in each Pokemon; If you're a newbie, start out by describing what they're there for, and explain the movesets and EV spreads.

Take this Special Toxicroak explanation for example:

What we have here is what would a casual player think of Toxicroak last; Special Attacker with Nasty Plot, Although Toxicroak's Special Attack stat is only half-decent,
He can put his vast coverage in his movepool by utilizing Nasty Plot and three attacks. The EV spreads are to ensure his optimal performance, Nasty Plot on the switch
then hit your opponent with a STAB Vacuum Wave or Sludge Bomb, and Shadow Ball is for the occasional Gengar that Toxicroak comes across.

3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
