My First RMT (OU)

This is my first team so it could probably use some work. I'm not really comfortable coming up with good EV spreads yet so I am using the ones from the Pokèdex on this site.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Psychic
- Explosion
Naive Nature
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Spe / 252 SAtk

I like this lead because in my experience it usually gets Stealth Rock up and KOs at least one pokemon, often two. Usually I will use Stealth Rock on the first turn unless I think that I will be Taunted, in which case I Psychic or Fire Blast. Explosion is nice with Focus Sash because I seem to be aster than most opponants.

Togekiss @ Leftovers (Serene Grace)
- Nasty Plot
- Roost
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Spe / 152 SAtk

Togekiss has many opportunites to switch in, being immune to Ghost attacks that get aimed at Azelf or Gengar as well as being immune to Ground attacks aimed at Magnezone or Heatran. It is bulky enough to then get a couple Nasty Plots in and do some damage.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Hidden Power [Grass]
Naive Nature
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spe / 252 SAtk

With both Magnezone and Scizor drawing out Fire attacks, Heatran should be able to get a boost, and even if not, it can switch in on one of its resistances and deal some damage. It also makes a great revenge killer, and can Explode if necessary.

Gengar @ Life Orb
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Timid Nature
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Spe / 252 SAtk

Being immune to both Ground and Fighting is pretty helpful for this team. Gengar seems to be a pretty threatening Pokemon that can threaten a wide range of foes. It's weaknesses are covered pretty well also.

Magnezone @ Choice Specs (Magnet Pull)
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Explosion
Modest Nature
EVs: 172 Atk / 84 Spe / 252 SAtk

I am using so much Explosion because I am not using much for physical attacks. I think this might be a Pokemon that could be replaced with something better, but I'm not sure what it would be. Maybe like a Lucario or Infernape...?

Scizor @ Life Orb (Technician)
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- X-Scissor
Adamant Nature
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe

My physical attacker. It can get rid of special walls. Having a priority move is nice, especially with STAB and Technician boost. Fire and Fighting weaknesses are covered by Heatran and Gengar.

So that's my team. How obvious is it that I don't yet really know what I'm doing? Any feedback would be much appreciated, as I really want to get better.

On Magnezone you need Hidden Power Fire instead of Ice to make use of Magnet Pull and destroy Scizor. It's not that big a deal if you only have one Physical attacker, especially since Scizor can defeat all of the major Special walls I can think of (Blissey, Snorlax, Cressila... I know there are more but I'm tired and can't think of them) and you have enough of a wide range of moves on your special attackers that you could at least whittle down special walls that Scizor can't beat. Hope this helps man
