My First RMT! Please be nice.

Chrissy Costanza (Meloetta) @ Life Orb
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 56 Atk / 200 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Relic Song
- Close Combat
- Shadow Claw
- Thunder
Meloetta is USUALLY not my lead, but i have it up front so people don't predict my politoed or ttar and try to set up early hazards on me. This set is designed to try and put things to sleep and potentionally sweep mid or late game. Whats nice is that it can get a relic song off before a ttar crunch or scizor u-turn, etc. and resist it when it becomes fighting/normal. Then i can retaliate with a stab CC or thunder everything if rain is up. Shadow claw OHKOs latios/latias, celebi, and gengar after rocks damage.

politoed.jpg

Bubblegum (Politoed) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Perish Song
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Protect
Usually my lead, as its ability gets me early rain. I run perish song over encore/toxic/hypnosis because of set up sweepers such as CM latias, DD mence/dnite, etc. Scalds purpose is to do decent damage from rain and fish for the burn. Ice beamis just for the dragons that try setting up and occasionally hit ferros for neutral damage if needed.

tyranitar.jpg

Malphite (Tyranitar) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Superpower
- Fire Blast
My secondary lead if need be. CB defensive ttar is very interesting. Pursuit traps occur alot having a politoed with perish song and my teams slight weakness to starmie. It sponges hits very well and returns damage with a powerful banded crunch or superpower. FB is there for coverage and to snag those pesky steel types switching in or setting up.

latias.gif

Mach 5 (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Roost
- Surf
- Dragon Pulse
Standard Latias set for rain. I run thunder for obvious reasons, fish for para, hit alot of water pokes, etc. Roost is for good recover, and i can even outstall most pokes. Surf is for coverage, a rain boosted surf easily 2HKOs most nonresisted pokes, barring chans/bliss. Finally, dragon pulse is just for decent stab, and to hit other dragons super effectively.

scizor.jpg

Megaman (Scizor) (M) @ Muscle Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Brick Break
- Pursuit
Oh, scizor, how i love you so much. This set has won me so many games, i bluff the CB with ease and switch up moves for sure KOs. Standard set, and i run brick break over superpower to stay in and KO ferros and other scizors.

Spinout (Donphan) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock
Last but not least, this big guy. I needed a spinner AND someone to set up hazards, and tenta/forretress wouldnt go as well on the team, so i chose donphan. I run max atk for easy 2HKOs on Dnites, Mences, Jirachi, Jolteon, etc. And rapid spin and stealth rocks are for obvious reasons.

So please rate my team and try to help. Its been doing good so far, but i want peoples' opinion, i'm very open to suggestions!

Its pretty good Dawhveed! I do see one thing though, and that is that any trainer with a rain based team or pokemon that works on a rain team (kingdra...) could be deadly. Most of theose pokemon carry Ice Beam (Dead Latias). Their water move will become insane (donphan). Sending Tyranitar in could stop the onslaught, but he can't do much against a water type.

The BIGGEST threat I see is Storm Drain Gastrodon. If special gastrodon(Ice beam, surf, earth power, recover) shows up on Politoed's surf and gets the +1 Sp. Atk, he can OHKO-2HKO you with earth power. If you switch out to Ttar when Ptoed dies, Gastrodon doesn't get hurt from Sandstorm. He can and will take any shot you throw at him and will use surf/earth power and take Ttar out. Even if you get close to killing him, he will recover and keep moving. Send out Latias (Surf makes him stronger/ Thunder doesn't do anything), hit him with DP, and he KO's you with Ice beam. Send out donphan. Gastrodon uses surf. Scizor shows up, and there will be a stallout in terms of damage. Meloetta MIGHT KO him (If she isn't dead already), but then you have other pokemon to deal with.

I don't see the point of meloetta being first... If donphan is used to set up stealth rock, make HIM first. It seems that some of your pokemon seem to be trying to wall something. Maybe try switching out some of the pokemon to a more powerful form (Latias->LatiOs) and replace donphan with a pokemon like forretress, who can both rSpin, lay spikes AND Wall. Ferrothorn is also an option, as he stops water types COLD. That gives you two glaring pokemon with 4x fire weaknesses, so take one of Ttar's Dark moves and replace it with one (or both) of the Edgequake combo. Tyranitar also gets a defense boost from Sandstorm, so I don't think you need as much defense/ sp. def investment. With Lati@s, try replacing roost with some sort of offensive move. Your current team would have trouble with the fighting types that rage through the tier, so possibly have lati@s know psychic. As soon as a person sees a politoed use perish song, they know you want them to switch out. If you change as they change, then that turn was wasted. With the amount of swapping in competitive play, I can't see perish song being that useful.

Idea for latios:

Latios W/ Leftovers
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Hp/252 Sp.Atk/ 252 speed
Moveset:
Calm Mind
psychic/Psyshock
Dragon pulse/Draco meteor
Surf/Thunder

Latios is much more powerful than latias, but has lower sp.def. That is where calm mind comes in. The calm mind improves Latios' stellar Sp.Atk and bolsters his adequate Sp.Def. EV spread is to hit as hard and fast as possible. The psychic attack is to deal the fighting types, and psyshock if you are horrified of blissey. If you plan on using Latios as a hit-and-run pokemon, than draco meteor, whose power is 155 5/9% than that of dragon pulse. If you plan on making Latios stay in for a while, choose dragon pulse. Surf is a good, strong reliable move, but if you trust politoed can do his job, use thunder to eliminate any pesky water types.

This fixes the problem of the fighting type(Ttar, Melo, scizor, and donphan would have trouble) and also improves the power of your special attacker.

Try ferrothorn as a pokemon as your wall:

Ferrothorn@ Occa berry(Surprise fire wallbreak attempt)
Nature: Relaxed(physical wall)/ Sassy(special Wall)
IV's: 0 Spd
Evs: 252 Hp for sure
If physical- 180 Def/ 78 Sp.def
If special- 48 Def/ 210 Sp.Def (Ferrothorn's base defense is higher than his special defense.)

Moves:
Stealth rock
Leech seed/ spikes
Thunder wave/protect
Power Whip

Strategy
Set up hazards and leech seed to keep your health high. Paralyze the opponent if you plan on jumping into setting up Lati@s or any other sweeper. Power whip should do decent amounts of damage to pokemon who are 4x weak to it. You can trade out T wave for protect, which will improve your stall-ability.

Solution because: It is a much better E. Hazards guy than donphan. Just put Lati@s into play to remove spikes/T. spikes. He also is a very good at throwing around T. Waves(Easy way to cripple pokemon who might stop setup), and has few fears in rain, and doesn't take damage in S.storm. He can heal himself as a stallout. He can finish gastrodon with Powerwhip
