Yo, this is my first R MT and I'm posting a team that has been strangely successful lately and I wanted someone's thoughts on it. Btw, I don't know how to upload sprites so it would also be nice if someone told me how to. Thx
Victini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- U-turn
- Zen Headbutt
Victini was a Pokemon I wanted to use for a while so I threw it in here as a revenge killer with its menacing signature attack, V-Create! I felt it would make a good offensive threat and could make up for the team's lack of speed, which is why I went with the scarfed set. Not much outspeeds scarfed Victini other than other scarfed Pokemon making it a formidable threat.
Zygarde @ Lum Berry
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
Zygarde was also another BL Pokémon I wanted to use. I ended up going with his DDance set because I needed sweeping power on the team and felt Zygarde had the moves to pull it off. Extreme Speed is a great move for this because it is a strong priority move that can avoid Sucker Punches. Outrage and EQ speak for all themselves and I have Lum Berry for confusion and other statuses that could cripple offesively.
Umbreon @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 232 Def / 20 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Payback
- Toxic
- Protect
- Wish
Umbreon is "the meat" of the team. If I have nothing to switch to that can take an u resisted hit, I turn to Umbreon. Umbreon can take blows with the best of them for sure. My main reason for putting in Umbreon is because it compliments Victini well. Some of Victini's weaknesses like dark and ghost allow me to switch in Umbreon. Umbreon's fighting(if Sableye is around) and fairy(steel types) switches go to Victini. Wish passes are primarily for Victini when it is running low on health and Umbreon itself, however I am running Toxic over Baton Pass because I thought it would be too situational to have.
Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Dark Pulse
Mega Sableye is here because I wanted a ghost mega. Gengar is banned so I went with Sableye. The Calm Mind set is used for some form of special power to support lack there of. Sableye is also my spin blocker and my switches in to fighting and normal type attacks. Max defense with calm mind and a recovery move especially makes Sableye tough to kill when it gets going with no status moves that can stop it.
Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
Skarmory is my Pokémon for late-game rocks and sweep stopping. I always want to keep away hazards son my Skarmory can come in fresh to halt a sweep by Whirlwinding out the threat. If it's not doing that, it is setting up rocks to give my opponent a better reason to fear Victini if it's still sticking around! Rocks, however, are not a priority for me because I have a defogger. It can also above all else reliably take any physical hit I need it to take and has the capability to outright wall some Pokemon.
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Protect
- Defog
Empoleon is the dark horse of this team in my opinion. It ended up being my SECOND Toxic staller, but I put in in for getting rid of hazards. It also serves as a bulky water Pokemon that I needed to cover ice and water type moves and t he steel typing adds a few more resistances that appealed to me. It also gives me the special bulk my team needed and, after battling with it, c an actually wall some Pokemon.
That's my team that currently stands 5-0, rate and tell me what you think and what edits could be done. Thx
