My first RMT submit

Hey people, as I said in the title this is my very first time having a team rated. I barely played competitive in 5th gen and really started during this gen.

Sooo... Here we go!

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- Earthquake
- Air Slash
- Flamethrower
- Solar Beam

My special sweeper. The first things someone sees is the Hasty nature and Earthquake. Seeing Zard Y, the first thing coming to mind is gargantuan 159 special attack "OMG flamethrower incoming!" and "Let's swith to my swag Heatran". Actually, Going Mega Y, Charizard gets an Attack boost too, making EQ a solid OHKO on standard Heatran after breaking Air Baloon. Flamethrower is the sun-boosted STAB, which I choose for reliability, since I think going Fire Blast is mere overpowering. Solarbeam gets rid of Rock Types not named TTar and water types like Rotom-W and Azumarill (this one one the switch, since even in the sun, this Zard is not taking Aqua Jet). I chose Air slash over Dragon Pulse cause is STAB and cause that's not OHKOing any dragon that can retaliate with a strong Physical move. Solar Power actually has the nice Niche of abusing other Zard Y's sun, since Unevolved Zard with Solar Power in the sun has actually a major special damage output than Zard Y, and remains in the same speed tier. AIr slash also 2HKO other Zards.

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Toxic
My stealth rock setter, and main leader too. I wanted rocks on this team since in my past experience, Volt-Turn was so annoying as well as baton pass, which I can shut with Roar as well (in teams without Mr.Gay). Toxic is for walls I cannot touch with Lava Plume which I'd poison rather than burn. Lava Plume is for damage and spamming burns on physical attackers wanting to switch. I choose Air Baloon over Lefties cause I like the free switches and landing rocks before Mamoswine and Landorus Kill me.

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Brave Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
- King's Shield
I guess he's my psysical sweeper. I love Aegislash and he's so good in this gen I wanted to use it so bad. I just love all the mind games you can play with King's Shield. Shadow Ball is for going mixed and when I expect scald will burn Like everytime. Shadow sneak is obviously for priority but I'm not sure about it. I was thinking having Iron head would be nice to kill fairies. Sacred sword is a great move, getting perfect coverage with Ghost moves and bypassing defense stat modification (even though common defense booster resist Fighting).
534.png
Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
My tank. AV Conkeldurr ability to take hits from both sides has proved to be invaluable in my matches. What you see is pretty much what you see everywhere, Drain punch as a main STAB and source of recovery, Knock off to get wonderful coverage (bar fairies) and getting rid of walls' lefties or Gliscor's Toxic Orb before Poison triggering and Chansey's eviolite and in general reducing the menacing power of many item-needing Pokemon, Mach Punch for priority and Ice punch for the lots of Pokemon 4x weak to it. Not only Guts makes it a good status absorber, it also is a deterrent to foe's statusing in general. Anyway I was thinking of replacing Ice Punch with Thunder Punch since the main Fairy (Azumarill) shuts me dow completely.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Protect
- Gyro Ball
My Physical wall. It takes everything not called flamethrower and such from day to night damaging physical attackers not carrying SE coverage with Iron Barbs and forcing them to switch. The switches give me so many opportunites to Twave fast sweepers switching in and everything in general, as well as leech seeding. Leech seed recovery + lefties + protect let me recover a huge chunk not to mention the Scouting and Mind gaming power of protect ( I like to troll and staying on Fire type moves not beeing fired in the fright of a Heatran switch).
380.png
Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Recover
- Toxic
- Psyshock
Now comes the hard thing to explain. "You have stealth rock setter, why the hell you run defog?"; well the reason is that I can't find a rapid spinner fitting to my desires, I really can't. Everytime I choose a rapid spinner I get to lose it for the whole sake of rapid spinning once and only once. I wanted something bulky that could defog without beeing SR weak. I chose latias for fast support. Toxic for damage on everything, recover for stall and Psyshock not to be taunt bait.

Thoughts and suggestions are obviously welcome :D

Great team for a first timer!
Your team just needs a little tweaking, but other than that you have a pretty nice team!

First of all I'd switch the EV spread on Aegislash, 252 Sp.Atk instead of Atk and give it a Spooky plate if you'd like . This will make your Shadow Ball hit harder since you'll be using that most of the times (shadow sneak is to cleanly finish things off). You could also leave 88 Atk EVs and 12 Speed EVs with a Mild Nature so you can outpace min Speed Tyranitar and OHKO with Sacred sword if you feel that Tyranitar might be a problem for the team.

If ever you feel like Mega Pinsir is a threat to your team (which kinda is actually, pinsir can easily setup SD on Conkeldurr and have field day) you could use Zapdos as a defogger over Latias (though in this case your defogger is weak to SR, but no worries, Zapdos has the bulk to make up for that!)

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 S.Atk
Bold Nature
0 Atk IVs
- Roost
- Defog
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic

This set does the exact thing as Latias, except that Thunderbolt lets you deal with Mega Pinsir and a Brave Bird locked Talonflame (0 SpA Zapdos Thunderbolt vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Pinsir: 258-306 (94.8 - 112.5%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO).

That said, your team might also have issues with water types like Azumarill and Keldeo. Specs Keldeo Secret Sword will cleanly 2HKO Ferrothorn, the same applies for banded Azumarill's Superpower. Which is why I'd suggest to run Power Whip so Ferrothorn can help you deal with the 2. Power whip will not OHKO the 2, but will at least chip enough health off so you can revenge kill either of them with Zapdos or Aegislash's Shadow Sneak.

Good luck and have a nice day!

Thank you for the praise words and suggestions :D I used Zapdos in a former team and he works pretty nicely. I guess I'll add him since megapinsir is becoming the new wrecking mega of choice in the metagame. I'll also change Aegi EVs spreaf like you suggested and see if that works nicely. Speaking of ferrothorn, do you think Power Whip on him would better than Thunderpunch on Conkeldurr?
If anyone else has other thoughts to share, you're welcome :D

I don't really think Thunderpunch is worth the slot, considering that you would get walled by Gliscor and Landorus-T (which would be really annoying tbh) and Ice punch generally offers better coverage than Thunderpunch on Conkeldurr ~

Ice Punch is a much better move than Thunder Punch, for the reasons stated above.

The only thing I would change is replacing Air Slash on Charizard for Dragon Pulse. Flamethrower 2HKOs literally every Fighting and Grass type that Air Slash does, and if you switched Flamethrower for Fire Blast then Fire Blast hits every thing harder than Air Slash, so the coverage is kinda redundant. Dragon Pulse gives Charizard a chance to beat Latias, and also hits Garchomp harder than Flamethrower or Air Slash.

Yeah, I tried thunderpunch on conkeldurr, doesn't really work nice just like you said. I don't really wanna give up flamethrower, I mean that accuracy vs power issue coupled with my bad luck always led me to choose for accuracy...I guess I'll try that too thanks :D
