My First RMT

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Aromatherapy
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
Chansey is super tanky and can take a lot of hits barring Fighting. Bold Nature to bolster the already lackluster Defense while Eviolite also boosts Special Defense. Soft-Boiled is sustain because she can't hold lefties. I choose Toxic over Thunder Wave because I like being able to stall out opposing mons a lot easier than having chance of paralysis. Having Seismic Toss prevents being forced to switch out after being Taunted.

Crawdaunt @ Choice Band
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Crabhammer
- Crunch
- Knock Off
I use Crawdaunt period because it is stronger than Azumarrill as far as raw power goes. Choice Band is because using Swords Dance and Dragon Dance is less optimal sense the lobster's defensive stats are so poor. Being able to get the CB attack off is a lot better than getting OHKO'd after boosting.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 SDef
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Taunt
Skarmory sets up entry hazards and has the ability to phaze pokemons out after they set up. Rocky Helmet allows for punishing the pokemon Skarmory is meant to wall when they use their physical attacks. Helmet also works a lot better when the opposing pokemon takes recoil damage. Taunt allows to prevent opposing pokemon from setting up on the switch and to prevent pokemon from setting up hazards or inflicting status.

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Naive Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast
Garchomp is my revenge killer. He replaces Talonflame because I found Talonflame to be too fragile and extremely weak to Stealth Rock to hinder my play. Having a Scarfed Garchomp allows me to have a powerful threat who is able to outspeed most of the metagame.

Gengar (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Disable
- Substitute
SubDisable Gengar is so good on this team because no one expects it when they see the team preview. Substitute allows Gengar to tank a hit after a predicted switch. Black Sludge allows for sustain from using Substitute. Dazzling Gleam is my coverage move because it allows Gengar to hit SE Fighting, Dark and Dragon as the most noteworthy hits.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog
M-Scizor is my Defogger on the team. The set allows for 2 STABs as well as sustain in the form of Roost. With Mega Scizor's boosted defenses, having a defensive nature as well as EV spread allows for Mega Scizor to take a lot of hits as well as dish them out. U-Turn allows me to preserve as well as gain momentum.

My previous team had Talonflame in place of Garchomp and I'm testing how this switch is going. I would also like some feedback from the community to notice some of the glaring weaknesses that I may not. I am a beginning battler and the community may see things that I do not see. Thank you for your time.

Hey there, this looks like a pretty decent team with a good defensive core, a revenge killer, hazards, some lures, and a wallbreaker. However, I recommend putting a bit more into your descriptions of your Pokemon. Instead of saying the obvious ("Chansey is super tanky and can take a lot of hits barring Fighting."), explain why it's on your team.
Now onto the team itself. First of all, you seem to be lacking a win condition - something that can clean up later. Garchomp could serve as one in a pinch, but it's generally not the best win con in the world. To remedy this, I recommend changing Scizor to a Bulky SD set. This'll provide an excellent win condition. With this change, you'll be lacking Defog support, so you should probably add Defog to Skarmory over either Taunt or Whirlwind. Dunno which one would be better, haven't tested the team but whichever proves better in testing would be optimal.
Second, I think Gengar currently has suboptimal coverage. Sludge Wave/Bomb over Dazzling Gleam would provide more power because of STAB, and only misses out on a few notable threats, most of which are revenged by either Chomp, Zor, or Daunt, or walled by Skarm.
Last, the most optimal ScarfChomp set is Outrage/Earthquake/Rock Slide or Stone Edge/Fire Blast or Dragon Claw. Outrage is much more powerful and can clean up weakened teams much better. For this team, you'd use Rock Slide over Stone Edge since Togekiss isn't a problem, and Fire Blast over Dragon Claw to kill or weaken Skarms, Ferrothorns, and Scizors, all of which your team hates.
One more thing, does 32 SpDef EVs on Skarm do anything?

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 116 Def / 100 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 SDef
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind / Taunt
- Roost
- Defog

Gengar (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb / Sludge Wave
- Disable
- Substitute

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Naive Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Fire Blast

Also, I'd recommend putting in an importable in the OP so people can test the team more easily. Put it in hide tags, like this: [ hide=insert title here ] importable [ /hide ] without the spaces.

Sorry about the poor descriptions but I'm really a beginner at competitive pokemon. I just looked at type synergy and basic roles my team needs to fill and that's basically how I got the team. The reason I have 32 SpDef on Skarmory is because that is the standard that I found across smogon.

Edit: I've implemented changes and will begin testing today.
