My First RMT

ok, this is my team.

CROBAT
252 spe. 252 SpA. 4 HP
modest, inner focus, focus sash

-Nasty Plot
-Heat Wave
-Sludge Bomb
-Air Slash

This poke gets me a good start. I nasty plot up, they expect a hypnosis and fake out or switch out (inner focus so no flinch)so i get +2 sp. attack with dangerous moves. Also a good counter for some common leads.

BRONZONG
252 HP 200 Def. 4 Sp.Def. 52 Sp.Attack
Bold, Heatproof, Leftovers

-Calm mind
-Rest
-Psychic
-Flash Cannon

This guy is a good one I made myself in boredome. surprisingly, when i bring him in vs another wall, i can get about 4 calm minds in, enough to KO most pokes. Hes actually a good sweeper, who knew. I have psychic and Flash Cannon for stab. I chose Flash cannon over gyro ball because i want zong to be faster than things like snorlax, so he cant sleep on you.

SCIZOR
4 HP 252 Atk. 252 Spe.
Adamant, Technician, Focus Sash

-Swords Dance
-Quick Attack
-Bullet Punch
Brick Break

The focus sash is to ensure i get 1 swords dance up. I use quick attack along with bullet punch because of the water types, and brick break is there for those slow steel types.

FORRETRESS
252 HP 112 Atk. 144 Def.
Relaxed, Sturdy, Leftovers

-Explosion
-Body Slam
-Spikes
-Rapid Spin

My pysical wall/spinner. Rapid spin is to keep scizor's sash on, and the 112 atk. ev's the explosion pretty powerful. Body slam is for paralasis help. And of course...spikes.

HEATRAN
200 HP 52 Spe. 200 Sp.Atk.
Modest, Flash Fire, Choice Scarf

-Hidden Power (ice)
-Earth Power
-Fire Blast
-Flash Cannon

Heatran is my late game sweeper which is why i chose Fire Blast over Flamethrower. HP ice is to counter gliscor, flygon, salamence, etc. Earth power is to kill off other heatran and steel or rock types. Flash cannon is there for more stab (i had explosion but it did like no damage lol)

And finally,
SWAMPERT
240 HP 52 Atk. 216 Def.

-Protect
-Mirror Coat/Counter (dont know what to use
-Waterfall
-Stealth Rock

I use Protect to scout, and see if i should use mirror coat/counter next turn. Stealth rock is stealth rock, no explanation. Waterfall for a sorta powerfull stab move.

Please help me improve my team for the future.

Regards,

I'll start with your Heatran. Firstly, if you intend on using Choice Scarf on Heatran, you really need to give Heatran maximum Speed. The current spread you are running reaches a total of 304 Speed. This means that Lucario, a threat that your actually supposed to be revenge killing with Fire Blast/Earth Power will outspeed you if it is carrying a Jolly Nature. You also fail to outspeed Gengar, opposing Heatran, and Infernape, a huge threat to your team. Infernape can OHKO Swampert with Grass Knot, OHKO Heatran with Close Combat and also outspeed your Heatran highly damages Bronzong with Fire Blast, OHKOes Scizor with Fire Blast, and OHKOes Forretress with Fire Blast as well. Crobat is your only real lines of Defense against Infernape and with Stealth Rock wearing Crobat down, your Crobat will not be taking hits for long. I also want to say one thing. Your current EV spread does not even reach the total amount of EV's allowed. Right now, your EV spread reaches a total number of 452 EV points, meaning you can use 56 more EV points to make the best out of Heatran. However, I'm going to suggest that you use another EV spread. So, firstly, I want you to use 252 Speed/252SpA/6 HP on Heatran and use Explosion over Flash Cannon and use Naive as your Nature. With that EV spread and nature, Heatran reaches a total Speed stat of 417. That allows you to effectively revenge kill the dangerous Infernape with Earth Power, netting a swift KO on Infernape with Earth Power. Heatran now has the ability to also revenge kill threats such as Jolly Lucario, Gengar, tie with opposing Heatran, Salamence without a Dragon Dance boost, etc. The 252 Special Attack EV's allow Heatran to attack as hard as it can with its main STAB move of Fire Blast. I suggested using Explosion over Flash Cannon for a couple of reasons. Firstly, what do you hit with Flash Cannon? The answer to that is Tyranitar. Earth Power already hits Tyranitar for super effective damage. Outside of that, Flash Cannon has no other real uses. Explosion allows Heatran to get rid of Blissey, a common switch-in to Heatran. Explosion also allows Heatran to significantly damage Bulky Waters such as Swampert and Vaporeon, making it easier for another one of your sweepers ( Scizor ) to finish them off.

Now, that Crobat set that you are using should not be used as a lead. Using a Pokemon to set up at the start of the match is not the best way to start off the match. Usually, you will find Crobat being forced to switch out because mosty leads have a way of beating him. That is why most Crobat carry U-turn. U-turn allows Crobat to actually damage while switching to the proper counter to your opponents lead. Crobat also makes a good candidate for a Pokemon to use Taunt, to prevent your opponent from setting up Stealth Rock. So, let me suggest an alternate Crobat set for you! I suggest you use U-turn, Brave Bird, Taunt, Roost, 104 HP, 152 Attack, 252 Speed, Jolly Nature. Brave Bird is needed on Crobat for STAB and a move that allows him to hit quite hard. Taunt is an excellent move on Crobat since Crobat has one of the best Speed stats in the game, allowing it to outspeed a myriad of leads such as Bronzong, Azelf, Infernape, Heatran, Metagross, etc and Taunt them to prevent them from setting up Stealth Rock. You can then U-turn out to the appropriate counter. Roost allows Crobat to heal any damage given from Brave Bird's recoil in addition to the Stealth Rock damage Crobat takes every time it comes onto the field. The EVs invested allow Crobat to score a likely OHKO on a Max HP Machamp with Stealth Rock in play. The HP Ev's give Crobat a sufficient amount of HP to make the best use out of Leftovers while still giving Crobat and odd HP stat for switching into Stealth Rock.

Next, up is Scizor! Scizor has little to no use of Focus Sash and I will explain why. Firstly, Stealth Rock will most likely be set up early on in the match, meaning when Scizor comes in, the Focus Sash's effect will be negated thanks to residual damage given from Stealth Rock. In addition to that, Scizor is better of holding another item such as Life Orb or Leftovers because Scizor is already pretty durable, meaning Focus Sash is not a really good item to be using on it. Since you are using a Swords Dance set, I suggest you use Leftovers to provide Scizor with as much durability as possible and for another reason I will say later. to allow Scizor to hit as hard as possible. To aid Scizor to effectively use Swords Dance to hopefully pull of a sweep, try a spread of 200 HP / 252 Atk / 56 Spe. With that EV spread, Scizor will be able to outspeed most Skarmory, Metagross, and CB Tyranitar with the 56 Speed EV's. That EV's invested into HP will also help you take hits from Latias allowing you to Pursuit it for the kill. If you would like a Scizor that is more Specially Defensively oriented that is more suited switching into opposing Latias and Gengar's Special Attacks to Pursuit them, try a set with 24 HP / 252 Atk / 176 SpD / 56 Spe. With the Special Defense EV's, you will be able to take Draco Meteor's and Focus Blast's more effectively. Those two mentioned EV's will give Scizor more durability, allowing Scizor to set up more effectively with Swords Dance thanks to the HP EV's. Also, use U-turn over Quick Attack. Rather than be a late game sweeper, U-turn will allow Scizor to come in early and U-Turn out of the counters that switch into it, since Zapdos and Rotom cannot continually take U-Turn + SR damage. Leftovers allow it to do this as much as possible. That is why I suggested Leftovers over Life Orb. Scizor's counters will most likely be weakened enough for Scizor to finish them off with Bullet Punch, or in fact, they might be gone, allowing Scizor to have an even easier time sweeping. U-turn still allows Scizor to hit Bulky Waters for good damage, wearing them down slowly with U-turn. Also, Crobat's U-turn works well in conjunction with Scizor's, allowing you to scout for your opponents team. Oh, and about your strategy with Forretress using Rapid Spin before Scizor comes out is way too situational. This practically means that you have to send in Forretress every time before you do bring in Scizor because you want to keep its Focus Sash, which Scizor does not need because Scizor is very durable like I already explained.

Up next, Swampert! Swampert does not really need Mirror Coat/Counter since it has better options such as Ice Beam to deal with Dragon types or Earthquake to hurt Pokemon such as Metagross hard. Imagine this scenario. Let's say that you reveal Mirror Coat/Counter to your opponent. Then, they switch in a Salamence later on in the game while you bring in Swampert. Salamence will most likely have a Dragon Dance as you switch to your best defense against it, Swampert and Scizor to weaken it with Bullet Punch. In this case let us pretend it is Swampert coming in. Your opponent knows that you have Counter so he uses Dragon Dance again, meaning that Salamence will be in a position to sweep your team. It is better for you to just directly attack it starightaway with a move such as Ice Beam, which I suggest you use over Mirro Coat/Counter. Ice Beam allows Swampert to effectively handle Salamence, netting a switf OHKO on it, with or without Stealth Rock in play. Also, you can use Earthquake in place of Protect if you feel you need coverage on grounded Steel types such as Metagross and Lucario.

On Bronzong, I suggest you use Levitate over Heatproof. Without Levitate, Bronzong will be unable to effectively counter Pokemon that it usually counters greatly such as Metagross, who can hit you with a super effective Earthquake since you have no Levitate currently. Also, you will be unable to switch-in to predicted Earthquakes aimed at Heatran. That extra Ground immunity will be very beneficial. Heatprrof is not really needed on your Bronzong since you have Swampert and heatran to take those Fire attacks aimed at Bronzong. The Fire types that switch into Bronzong, mainly Heatran and Infernape will be taken care of by Swampert+Heatran. Also, use Earthquake on Forretress. Body Slam is not really a good move on Forretress because the Pokemon that switch in on Forrtress such as Heatran take very little damage. Earthquake allows you to hit those Fire types that love switching into Forretress, while being able to hit Lucario and Metagross super effectively.
