My First RMT

As you can probably tell from the title, this is my first RMT. About two years ago I really got into competitive pokemon battling. I learned the metagame, memorized the type chart, and I considered myself to be pretty good. But for some reason which I can not remember, I stopped playing. Recently one of my good firends got me back into it and when I tried it again I realized that not only had the metagame changed, I had forgot most of what I learned. So for the past few weeks I have been battling alot and have gone through many different teams and this one is probably my most succesful going 25-2. So without further ado...

Here's my team!

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Punch
- Trick

This is my Jirachi lead set. I have a plan for pretty much every lead I face, Against leads that want to try and set up, I just trick them and stealth rock on the switch. If I'm facing an anti- lead, I either hit them with a super effective attack, flinch them to death, or switch to the appropriate counter and save my trick for later. The only bad thing about him I would say is that he can't prevent getting stealth rocks up due to lack of taunt, however he gets his up almost all the time.

Weavile (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd
Hardy Nature
- Low Kick
- Ice Shard
- Pursuit
- Ice Punch

This is my revenge-killer. I just love switching into a helpless ghost types and pursuiting as they flee. Ice shard is for priority in case theres a choice scarfed poke stuck on a focus sash or low health. Low kick hits any thing big really hard and is my main counter for snorlax and blissey since my main sweeper is special (spoilers). And ice punch for my main STAB attack.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Electric]

This mon is my main sweeper and just tears through teams without a blissey (that is where weavile comes in). I always get a minimum of one calm mind up, but usually two. And I can do so considering not only how bulky he is, but also because he is extremely hard to take down under screen support (more spoilers). I can only imagine the opponents face when he sees that his super effective move barely dents me. I run leftovers so I can stay in the battlefield a little bit longer. If you want to switch this pokemon for someone else you better have a damn good reason because is by far my favorite on this team.

bronzong.png

Bronzong @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 152 Atk / 8 Def / 96 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Gyro Ball
- Explosion

This is basically my support pokemon. He usually comes in first after jirachi to set up screens, deal damage with gyro ball, and when he's all finished, he explodes hopefully taking down something with him. I used to have an azelf lead with screens but this seems to be working better. Especially since this guy can also attack and explode. After he's exploded and I have screens, that's usually when I will bring our suicune to set up the game winning sweep.

heatran.png

Heatran (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Roar
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Out of all the heatran sets (I've tried pretty much every one), this is is probably my favorite. As you probably notice I don't have fire blast, but instead flamethrower. This is just because I am an accuracy freak and I can't even count the amount of times that heatran has missed a crucial fire blast that could've taken down someone. If it is absolutely neccessary to have fire blast than I might change it back but for now it is staying. Hidden power grass is for all the swampert's that think they can get a free switch in on me only to be OHKO'd. And earth power is for coverage.

149.png

Dragonite (M) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Atk / 204 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Roost

This is my physical sweeper. The idea (as with all sweepers) is to switch into something it resists, set up with dragon dance, and proceed to sweep. I choose dragon claw over outrage becasue I hate being locked into it and enabling a steel type to switch in and set up. Also the confusion after is annoying and I don't want to waste my lum berry on that. He also acts as my status absorber threatening anything that trys to cripple it. However, I may change it to life orb considering I'm running roost on this set but idk yet.

I am open to all suggestions and will change any pokemon if it has a valid reason. However, if there is one pokemon to stay I would like it to be suicune. I would also like to keep dual screen support but I do not care who puts it up.

Well that's my team, hope you liked it, and have fun rating!
