ORAS OU My first rookie team

So I made a team and I'm having trouble with fairy types and choice heatran any and all help would be much appreciated open to replacing Pokemon and changing EVs

Okay here's my team
Gyarados @gyaradosite
Ability : mold breaker
Nature: jolly
EV: 252 atk/ 4 hp/ 252 speed

Waterfall
EQ
Crunch
DD

I have gyarados as my mega because of sweeping capabilities when boosted with dragon dance crunch for the STAB bonus and psychic coverage and earthquake for additional coverage was thinking of switching crunch into a move set to help with psychic coverage as it would be STAB , and he resists psychic in his mega, waterfall comes with flinch chance as well as STAB trying to base my team around him but I am open to other megas

Conkeldur @assault vest
Ability: guts
Nature:adamant
EV: 252 atk / 4hp / 252 SP D

Drain punch
Knock off
Mach punch
Poison jab

poison jab is my fairy coverage on my team as well as drain punch is to regain health while Mach punch gives much needed priority to a slow monster, he is only decent fairy coverage on team, have only used him once but feel like he can be a strong force to be reckoned with against the right oppeonent and if he stays healthy using drain punch, using the assault vest for the defensive boosts to help cover what he is lacking, using him as my mainly fairy abuser , only problem is he is weak to the psychic game , relies on thunderus to t-wave to slow other pokes to reliably get off drain punches to remain healthy, while knock off can help predict psychic switch ins and eliminate annoying items such as leftovers

Thundurus @ life orb
Ability : prankster
Nature: jolly
EV: 252 SP A/ 4 hp/ 252 spe

HP ice
T-bolt
Volt switch
T-wave

I have him on my team as my t - wave setter and helpful pivot with Volt switch, HP ice to help take out flying types (other thundurus' too) as well as dragon types and t bolt is strong reliable STAB, primary use for him is to t-wave annoying choice scarf users and other moms who are faster then my gyarados and dragonite as well as offering a possible free turn to boost and set up
Life orb for damage boost , heavily rely on his prankster t-wave as my team is primarily slow and is outsped and revenge killed

Ferrothorn Leftovers
Ability: Iron barbs
Nature: sassy
EV: 252 hp/ 4 def/ 252 SP D

Leech seed
Gyro ball
Protect
SR

He's on my team for the SR set up and leech seed set up , can take out fairy types with a strong gyro ball , as well as protect while leech seed is set up with leftovers , can heal a suitable amount , was thinking of trying toxic on him to slowly pick away opposing pokes, I'm having a tough time using him as most pokes have a coverage fire move ,although with his pure bulk he is great to set up on in prepared Pokemon and get a seed and a layer or 2 of spikes off, while intermittently using protect to regain much needed HP, was thinking maybe Landorus-t as my setup with SR and u turn to help pivot

Dragonite Lum Berry
Ability: multi scale
Nature:adamant
EV 252 attack/ 4 hp/ 252 speed

Earthquake
outrage
DD
Extreme speed

Have him selected because of his late game killing ability with a strong extreme speed after a dragon dance , as well as strong coverage in earthquake and outrage, while multi scale allows him to take a strong ice beam from full health as well as the opportunity to chip off health before and extreme speed to prioritize and finish off foes, lum berry for if I lock into outrage or get hit with a status, especially from paralysis as he is already slow and most of the pokes are already t-waved from thundurus so he has the speed advantage, could also switch to a choice band/scarf nite running
(Dragonite) @ choice scarf/band
Same set up nature and ev
Fire punch
Outrage
EQ
extreme speed

MamoswiMe @. Choice scarf
Ability: thick fat
Nature: adamant
EV: 252 attack/ 4 def / 252 hp
Ice shard
Earthquake
Icicle crash
Rock slide

He is my dedicated dragon / flying type killer with priority ice shard boosted with choice specs as well his ability let's him tank a few hits , was looking to replace him from my team for extra coverage or a tank/stall as I feel he is my weakest link on my team and I have ice coverage and dragon coverage from dragonite and thundurus' HP ice, but he hits hard with choice specs bonus , although I tried choice scarf and he is a very strong poke especially with the speed boost from the scarf but with the priority move I like to use specs and spam a shard or 2, to knock off damage before I need to switch him out. Chansey with eviolite might be a good switch maybe? As a wish passer and a healer on my team

Checks:
-most fairy types are strong against my team

-Pokes that have a check electric move

-no defogger

-psychic pokes that outspeed my team and can heal status moves as well as take out my only main fairy check conkeldur

-fire moves, ferrothorns 4x weakness makes that a huge no go zone , as well as mamoswime, his ability reduces damage but still packs a punch

Hey man, not bad for a first competitive team. I do have a bunch of suggestions but you're off to a great start.

Firstly, let's address the Mamoswine. While it is pretty solid as a Band (I'm assuming you meant Band > Specs and that's a typo in the description) sweeper, but it's neither fast enough nor bulky enough to last very long like other band users such as Azumarill or Scizor. However, Mamoswine fits this team quite well so I'll give you a support set:

Mamoswine @ Lum Berry
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 56 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
This set adds a solid lead to your team. This makes Mamoswine bulky enough to take some hits and set up Rocks, but also be resilient as a priority revenge killer with Ice Shard.

ferrothorn.gif

*As a side note for this, since it gives you another SR option, it gives you the freedom to change Ferrothorn so it has Spikes > Stealth Rock. This lets you get some dual hazards up to help your sweepers clean up easier late game.

Secondarily, you have a LOT of Ice-type coverage on this team so I think it would behoove you to make some cuts somewhere (let's leave HP-Ice on Thundurus and Ice Shard on Mamoswine). As for the other two

Gyarados: Crunch > Ice Fang Ice Fang is great, but getting the extra STAB move in the Mega Evo really helps Gyarados clean up against certain Pokemon.
Conkeldurr Knock Off > Ice Punch Ice Punch is another great move, but with the coverage you have, it'd be really smart to eliminate it from Conkeldurr. Knock Off is a great way to handle annoying items (ie, Eviolite Chansey) and gives Conkeldurr a way to hit Gengar.

Next up, let's consider you're frailty to Burn (as you have 4 Physical sweepers). To resolve this issue, I recommend Victini > Dragonite.

victini.gif

Victini @ Choice Band
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fusion Bolt
- V-create
- U-turn
- Zen Headbutt

This Victini allows you to have a safe switch into Will-o-Wisp (as well as a huge answer to Mega Sableye). The U-turn allows it to predict a switch and gain momentum against your opponent, and V-Create will almost always OHKO anything it hits with neutral/super-effective damage. It also adds a much needed Fire-type coverage to your team, without which I believe you will get stalled often by Ferrothorn or have issues dealing with SD Mega Scizor. Victini also has a generally easy time KOing Fairy-types (and taking hits from them). It's an overall GREAT addition to your team.

Now for a minor change. On Thundurus, Life Orb > Zap Plate. You want Thundurus hitting as hard as possible with every move it has instead of relying on boosting only its STAB options. Also, make sure you change it's nature Timid > Jolly.

That's all I have for you. As far as dealing with fast Psychic types, just keep Gyarados armed and ready in the back to come in and handle them. Victini solves your problem with Fairies and Fire-types/burn.

I wouldn't worry too much about not having a Defogger/Spinner, but if you ever actually need one, I'd recommend Donphan > Mamoswine (with literally the same stats/moves except Rapid Spin > Rock Slide).

Hope I helped! I wish you good luck and good fun batling.

I had the band on mamoswime( yes it was a noob error haha) in the hopes of spamming ice shard for the STAB and 50% boost, but like the scarf set better because of immense power and above average speed, he's a strong mon,

As well I support the ice fang to crunch switch as it gives a stab move on my mega, And the knock off switch on conk as he can knock off annoying leftovers and predict some psychic switch ins and do a large chunk of damage

What's your opinion on
Dragonite @ choice band
Adamant nature

Fire punch
Outrage
Earthquake
Extreme speed

Would my fairy weakness still be prevelant even with the victini, dragonite switch?

I don't have showdown but if you have a 3ds and want to help me out and test battle me I would appreciate the experience/ extra insight on battle perspectives

As well, how would I obtain a victini haha isn't that an event poke

I think Switching Victini in for Dragonite is the right move. Your team is quite frail to fairies and having an extra slot dedicated to resisting and anihilating them is wise. As I also stated, Dragonite is still susceptible to burn, Victini isn't. For a hyper offense like this, I believe that it would be in your best interest to swap them around.

How do I obtain victini , all things I see are he is an event poke, and I missed out :(

There will be another event with Victini in one of the coming months of this year. If you fail to receive one, you can probably trade around in a Facebook group or go to Showdown's WiFi chat lobby and ask around there for one.

Ah okay but on meantime do you have another suggestion in replacement ?

If you can't use Victini, Emboar is a passable replacement as a Fire-type that smashes things in, although it isn't on the same level as Victini and doesn't counter Fairy-types as well (although it does have an advantage against Rock-types).
