My first serious OU team ( An OU RMT)

Hello battlers of Smogon! This is my first RMT and my first serious OU team, I've had a lot of experiance with lower tiers and have decided too try the Standard metagame, with that said, this is the thoughts I had while building the team. Changes are in green.

As always, I try too find my lead first, unlike most people, I wanted my team too be renovated around sweeping so I wanted a lead that can force the opposing lead too switch and hopefully get some usefull statuses around the opponents team, this pokemon has trickscarf, occompanied by parafusion and destiny bond, this pokemon is:

.

Then, I knew my team was too be based around sweepers so I aksed myself "After one setup move what can be the most dangourous pokemon in the metagame, So I thought of this bulky Scizor, my team is now:

Then I thought too myself, "Who can work pretty good with scizor?" And can do some revenge killing, I immidiatly thought of a Latias, A specs one at that. My team is now

I'm not a big fan of stealth rocks, but I need entery hazards, and a wall, something too stop sweepers... After some thinking I decided on a Skarmory, my team is now:

After this, I needed another bulky sweeper that can tear the metagame apart, as you can see now I'm a fan of Bulky sweepers, so I chose Gyarados, a bulky one with bouce at that. My team is now :

I needed a final member of my team, A special attacker, something that'll help my team, and work togeather with them, I thought of Heatran, a Scarfran, my team is now:

Then, after taking advice, I saw that Skarmory can be replaced by Gliscor as a stall breaker, because I have been informed stall rips me apart. My team is now:

Then I decided too go back too Skarmory

Then I got informed my team has no rock resistance, and I can fix that with Jirachi, So I added that as my lead. My team is now:

Now on too the movesets and explanations:

Jirachi@Choice Scarf, Jolly nature, EVs: 80 HP, 176 Speed, 252 Attack

Trick
Stealth Rocks
Iron Head
U-Turn

Ah, My favourite legendary pokemon, a bit broken but oh well, It works fine, Or set up rocks on the first turn, Or Iron head so they don't set up rocks, or if it's not In my favour I U-turn, trick is for late game or whenever I don't need my choice scarf or want too cripple a blisse- I mean wall. Then I can turn 360 degrees and walk away (U turn) And, as a plus, Jirachi is so cute :333. Yes, I'm a girl.

Gyarados@leftovers, Adament nature with the EVs of
156 HP, 72 Atk, 96 def and 184 speed.

Dragon Dance
Bounce
Waterfall
Taunt

This is the Smogon set for a bulky Gyarados, it works pretty well, I needed something too be a dangorous sweeper and it came too my mind, scince it's bulky it can take some hits, which makes it easiar too get a dragon dance up and makes it potentionaly able too get more then one, Bounce too get rid of those pesky pokemon who think they can live a hit and kill it with thunder, stone edge for flying types and other Gyarados. He is ment to sweep and if he gets a chance, he will. You would be surprised how he can easily sweep through unprepared teams after a dragon dance or two.I always try to bring him out early in the game

Scizor@Leftovers, Adamant nature, EVs: 200 HP, 56 Speed and 252 Atk.

Swords dance
Bullet punch
Superpower
Roost

This Scizor saves me, It's bulky so it can take some more hits, it does A LOT of damage, and can just turn 360 degrees and walk away (U-turn). It has bullet punch for prority and Technician and STAB, it has Superpower for those pesky magnezones and other steel types. It is also ment too sweep and has teared apart numarous teams, I might get rid of him though scince every team has a Scizor counter, but I doubt I'll get rid of him.. He's done a lot for me and sweeps the moment he gets the chance, I wasn't a big scizor fan until this team.
Added Life Orb combanination with roost, it works.
Decided too take leftovers back for survivability

ani227.gif
Skarmory@Leftovers Impish nature, EVs:252 HP 64 Atk, 172 Def and 16 Speed

Spikes
Whirlwind
Brave bird
Roost

This Pokemon is for stalling, and getting SOME entery hazard up, It also stalls people and brave birds them, and gives a stall like attraction too the team with Whirlwind, I went for a Gliscor then changed back too this because all Gliscor takes is Lucario which Heatran does already, so there was realy no point in it, and I realized my team is not week too stall, so Skarmory is the better option over all.

1heatran.jpg
Heatran@ Choice scarfnaive nature, 252 Sp.Atk and 252 Speed.

Explosion
Earth Power
Dragon pulse
Fire blast

Ahh, My old volca- I mean friend... This heatran has a lovely scarf that somehow makes it faster, It has dragon pulse for well... Dragons, Fire blast for STAB and Earth power for other steels/ground weak pokemon, It has explosion if it ever feels the need too go boom on a threat, I'm being very obvious here, no really, It's good with Scizor and Skarmory, it can get a Flash fire boost and can possably revenge kill and get a late game sweep. I haven't actully used this thing much, mainly just for exploding so I don't know what else too do with it, I'm not a big heatran fan.

latias.png
Latias@ Life orb, Timid nature, EVs: 252 Sp. Atk and 252 Speed

Thunderbolt
Draco Meteor
Grass knot
Surf

This is a special sweeper/ Revenge killer, It's pretty standard and makes good coverage, I chose Grass Knot over Surf because I find it more useful. This mainly comes in, Draco meteors twice, and comes out, It's a really awesome pokemon for this team and one of my favourite OUs. This latias tears apart a lot of teams with its sheer force, it's a good wall breaker and a stall breaker with draco meteor. A 140 base power STAB attack with Specs and max Sp. atk EVs coming from a base 110 sp. attack pokemon is deadly. Realy deadly.

That's all for this RMT, I can't make a threat list, I'm still quite new too the OU metagame so I don't think it will work out. Please tell me weaknesses too this team, I've spotted a weakness too a Dragon dance Gyarados but Don't know how too deal with it. Thanks for all the help :D

A quick suggestion: Change Dragon Pulse on Latias to T-Bolt to deal with your Gyarados weakness, Gyarados cannot OHKO even after a DD, and Dragon Pulse is kinda dead weight on that set right now.

Hello there! Cool team and it has a touch of originality which is always fun to see.

The first thing that I see when I look at your team is that it lacks a resistance to Rock type moves. That can be a pretty big issue, as it makes switching into Choice Band Tyranitar's STAB Stone Edge nigh-impossible. A pretty quick and easy way to fix this would be to change Froslass to a Choice Scarf Jirachi lead that can be found here. This set can help your team immensely in taking down Tyranitar, as Jirachi's fast STAB Iron Head can stop Tyranitar from attempting to sweep relatively easily. Jirachi is also a better anti-lead utilizing Choice Scarf than Froslass is, due to its natural bulk and good defensive typing. Jirachi also has access to Stealth Rock, a very important move that your team is currently lacking. Overall the only thing I see Froslass doing for your team is being an "annoyer" sort of Pokemon, and while that can be helpful it usually just ends up being death fodder for powerful sweepers like Tyranitar and Gyarados.

You say that you are considering switching Heatran to a Choice Scarf variant, but I strongly think that you should not. Choice Scarf Heatran is currently the only thing stopping Swords Dance Lucario from ripping apart your team. If you replace him, then Lucario has its way with this team. Also, without Heatran and its ability Flash Fire, your team develops a rather large weakness to Fire type moves, seeing as three of your Pokemon are weak to them. I do think that you should change Latias's set, however. Go for a Life Orb set. Use the moves Draco Meteor | Thunderbolt | Surf | Recover, the EV spread 4 HP | 252 SpA | 252 Spe, and a Timid nature. This set gives you plenty of power, while letting you switch attacks. At the moment your Latias looks like it will die pretty quickly due to being forced to switch a lot and not having Recover. This set allows Latias to still be a powerful threat, while letting Latias survive for longer as well.

Alright, you mentioned that you are thinking about using Life Orb on Gyarados, but that is a bad idea. The whole purpose of that Gyarados set is to be a bulky yet powerful attacker; Life Orb kinda defeats that purpose, as it will wear Gyarados down a lot quicker. You definitely need Taunt somewhere on that set, however. Taunt allows Gyarados to effectively set up against stall teams, as it blocks the opponent from using any non-damaging moves. It is one of the main reasons to use Bulky Dragon Dance Gyarados, so it definitely is needed on your Gyarados. Personally I would put it over Stone Edge as I don't really see you using that a lot, but its your call as to whether or not you want it over Stone Edge or Bounce. Also on Scizor, definitely use Roost over U-turn. U-turn erases all of the stat boosts that Scizor accumulates from Swords Dance, so its kinda pointless to use on that set. Roost however grants Scizor better survivability. Also, stick with Leftovers on Scizor. Leftovers + Roost grants Scizor pretty kickass survivability, and allows it to stay on the field for much longer in a match and deal more damage to your opponents team.

P.S. While I was writing this, I see that you said you're changing Skarmory to Gliscor. Do not do this, as Skarmory provides your team with a decent way to beat Gyarados, who otherwise rips apart your team. Also, Skarmory has Spikes, which are invaluable on an offensive team such as this. I repeat, keep Skarmory, do not use Gliscor.

Hope I helped, and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any more questions! ;)
